Welcome back buddy. Got to admit I get fed up with watches sometimes. However when I wake up it’s like Groundhog Day and the addiction is still there. Do I need to sell some? HELL YES, have I got around to it? Erm… no, I still like most of em. Will I buy more? No no no no no no No… er Yes 🫣there is no hope for me 🤷♂️😆
Glad to see you back. I can really relate to your feeling of not getting the same satisfaction from the watch theme anymore. Instead of buying and buying and making my UA-cam videos I’ve realized how much fun you can get out of simply enjoying the collection I have. And of course spending time with my wife and daughter and doing other activities (playing the guitar etc.) is paramount. All the best!
while its enjoyable and you get a kick out of what you are doing then great, I loved it all for many years but just didn't get that excitement any more - slowing its coming back but I don't want to go back to how I was with watches
Im glad you had a re- perspective on life and realize watches are really...at the bottom of the totem pole. Glad you got to own all the hype watches for a bit, and then had a moment of wisdom and moved on.
I have been the same over the last 2 years, I bought the Speedy 3816 SS and it gave me that warm fuzz feeling I got when I first started out 12 years ago. Speedy was my grail and first watch love, the collection snowballed as it does for all of us and I’ve now come full circle and released I was right the first time, still have my original Speedy, their are a few watches I wouldn’t mind picking up (Sub, Zenith Shadow, Ploprof :) and maybe mil spec 300 Seamaster, even a watchco) but I’m happy to enjoy life, travel and eat well, you’re just right in how you are thinking, good to see a video again!
I often think about my collection over the years and think I should of called it quits at certain points - one of them was with my first ever proper watch - A Seamaster in 2016.
@@watchandrew Nah you have enjoyed your time and watches, no regrets to be had! Honestly moving forward I would just buy a watch every 1-3 years depending on price of the watch and how much extra cash you have that year and travel with your family, it’s an education for children seeing the world, more so than schools can provide.
@@watchandrew I’m similar to you in my watch addiction / buying habits, have owned loads of watches over the years, breitlings, nomos, omega, longines etc etc, but the higher the price the more I couldn’t enjoy / worried about wearing them & I always just see my watches as a fun savings account, so would move them on to fund other more important things if I needed to. I took a bit of a break from it all, and now I just enjoy what I have, and pick up the odd watch here and there, and am enjoying the hobby again now 👍🏻
Really good to see you back, I always looked forward to your new videos. Looking forward to seeing your new collection & can't think what the fuzzy kettle can be??
Really good to see you back, Andrew. I always enjoyed your videos as they were so much more about you and your watches, instead of the very formulaic channels where all the videos were so samey. Looking forward to your future content immensely. 🙌
Good to see you back man! I’m going through the same rehabilitation process lol. Learning to enjoy watches of all price ranges and the hobby itself. Kudos to you.
Good to see you back Andrew, did worry about had happened to you!!!🤣 Funny i had also fallen out of love with watches, was feeling really flat with recent purchases but then bought the Tudor BB 58 GMT (the one most people say is too big) and just love it!!!👍
Good to see you back….. I had very similar issues with the Pelagos too, love it though, just can’t get it to fit right, thinking of getting a uncle Seiko half link
Nice to see you back mate glad your ok and to be honest I think a lot of have been feeling the same way over the last 18 months. However I have probably missed your content more than any of the rest of the usual suspects 😮.I always felt your were one of the guys just like the rest of us and truly in it for the love of watches. I look forward to seeing more of your channel and it’s definitely put a smile on my face seeing you back Oo la la buddy.
I missed you man. Don't know why I wasn't subbed before but I am now. I always enjoyed your honest and thoughtful reviews. I also love that you're not Rolex heavy. You've always had variety in your collection which speaks to your great taste. By the way, the Hamilton that your daughter and wife got you.....you've won. If I ever have a daughter and wife, and they gift me a watch, I don't care if it's a 91-FW. I would cherish that watch for the rest of my life. None of my Rolex or Omega or insert luxury brand name here, could compare. They would just be empty material shells in comparison. Congrats man. I'm jealous.
You can never get bored of watches but I agree with you that lately the watches being released are quite generic. Keep doing your VT’s as your honest reviews are helpful. There would be no problem reviewing older watches that are top class or have aspects that make it stand out and unique. Hope to see more content soon
Andrew great to see you back mate. Looking well. Good to take a break sometimes. Health and family no 1 pal. Have also had a reset. 1 daily watch and 1 special occasion piece. Still love looking at watches but desire to buy has gone. Almost 😂 missed your videos though for sure by far the best out of the many channels I'm subbed too. Look forward to the new video soon. Surely an omega??

Oooh la la he's back perhaps maybe ish.
Welcome back. I’d forgotten how flakey you are with your watches. You’ve got a serious case of buyers remorse 😂😂
Flakey?! Don’t know what you mean 🤣
The aqua terra. the winding action is really stiff ,it can hurt your finger tips when winding . It’s the trade off but it’s a cracking watch ..
Glad to see you back Andrew. I'll resubcibe now. It would be good if you did a video on your thoughts on Bremonts new direction
Thanks Ian,, appreciate that. Yeah I’m hoping to get back into Bremont in a big way 👍
Back and clearly matured a lot. That sounds a bit patronising- not meant to be - meant to be a compliment.
no worries,, thanks for watching and the comment.
It’s odd that my watch interest has dwindled almost at the same rate as the world wide watch hype dying.
I’m not sure if this is a comment directed at me or if you are telling the truth?
@@watchandrew not directed at you. I’m talking about myself. Reading it again I can see how it can be misinterpreted.
