She says it will be half a year until she releases him and he loses his powers (which you can negotiate down to once the Absolute is dealt with it the pact ends immediately). The transformation is permanent, unless you find a god to fix you. Ao certainly could, with a mere thought, but wouldn't. Asmodeus himself, despite not being a full god, might be able to undo it... but it would probably take a few thousand souls as sacrifice (whether the magic itself required them to power it, he would no doubt demand them all the same). You might be able to undo it with a True Resurrection scroll if you killed him and completely destroyed his devil form body with disintegration, but that would be at the whim of the gods to allow it and even if they allow the body to be restored as before they still may or may not let the soul be healed of the changes. The changes are not just to his mortal shell.
@@masondeross I remembered the half a year thingy, but forgot the details - have over 500h on the counter, but completed the game once only. I think it was in October. Well, Wyll can always pass a tiefling, I guess ;p

Honestly Wyll is such a bad character to be in the game. He screams main character energy but his writing took a huge hit when they decided to rewrite the entire act 1. The fact bro doesn't even have to be there for his own main quest sucks mad dick too. He's still my favourite Origin character to play though.
@@marquisepixley684 Wyll's writing is objectively the weakest out of every single companion mostly because he has no relevance to his own personal quest.
@@Kek393 That's because he has two: Duke Ravengard and killing/sparing Karlach. One comes from Mizora, the other is quite literally his own family. Saying he has no relevance to his own quest is very much ignorant of the fact that Wyll's father is the guy you have to rescue in the Iron Throne, and also that Wyll still genuinely cares for his father. Definitely true that he needs to at least do some stuff by Act 3 though. Wyll doesn't have to be the one that opens up the Iron Throne, you can just do it yourself. You could go through the entire game effectively never using him if you wanted, and still complete his quest. He should at least be a shortcut on some aspects of it.
@@hythunza1811 its not ignorant since he doesnt even have to be present for his own quest aside from the "big decisions" where he has no relevance either. You make all of the important choices FOR him. YOU choose if you want to kill Karlach, YOU choose of you want to sacrifice his soul or not and YOU choose if he becomes Duke of Baldur's Gate or the Blade of Avernus. He has no relevance in his own quest on the note that he literally has no strong opinions one way or the other in the literal most important moment of his life. Plus the writing for other characters reacting to him not selling his soul is just fucking criminal. When Shadowheart sacrifices her parents everyone goes "oh poor Shadowheart" but when Wyll doesn't sacrifice his soul everyone shit talks him??? It's like everyone collectively forgot what it means to sell your soul to the devil.
It makes me so sad bc I truly love him and find his dialog around his quests + Karlach really endearing, but a lot of it feels like there were scenes missing and we're having conversations like they were supposed to be there
You know she came from an egg, right? Edit: And she's a Durge, which means her biological child will have to face the exact same sh!t she went through.
In this case, just a matter of keeping it simple. 6 months is not enough time for a human birth, no factor in the different races for tav whether they are compatible, how long is gestation what type of offspring they produce... trying to factor all these things in an ending...
@@TheSteve285 Okay, ya got me there. Still though… it’d be nice if Shadowheart could’ve possibly become pregnant or Lae’zel could’ve produced her own egg that was being looked after by Voss or something.
@@JStryker47 Shadowheart might not be able to have kids (coming out of the cult of loss, where everyone is adopted), and regardless of that she's in a constant state of being hunted--pregnancy would kill her. Giving birth (a process that would take several hours where she's unable to protect herself) would get her killed. Even were those not problems, the likelihood of Shar intervening and killing her or the child, or, worse, stealing the child, would not be worth the risk. Absolutely not something she would agree to because it's a bad idea once you think it through. Would not be safe to do so for years if not decades. If she chose Shar she would not ever have children for religious reasons. Lae'zel I don't think is capable of egg laying. Not every githyanki female is fertile, only some of them. If she could she would probably have been off doing that as her full time job.
@@Kat-xy7fm At that point in time, I'm inclined to believe that other deities - like Selune, would be compelled to intervene on Shadowheart's behalf. Particularly after how instrumental she was in taking down the Chosen Three and the Absolute. And that most remaining Sharrans would be pissing their pants at the very mention of her name, after that, along with all the failed attempts to take her down. Not to mention, a certain other hero by her side (hint, hint) or their many friends in high places; such as the Guild, the Ironhands, Isobel, Aylin, and Withers - just to name a few. How do you know Lae'zel isn't fertile? Or that her mate couldn't assume the duty of looking after their egg? Sure, Vlaakith made the rules before, but if Lae’zel’s fighting *against* her now…

Gith with pink skin looks so weird.
Is your gith's hair modded?
Yes, its from "Silver's Hair Pack" on Nexus.
cute
Lilly really I would of named the kid Karlach but this vid was sweet😊
Well, Karlach dies in this scenario, so... I don't know, sounds depressing giving her this name.
marrige and adoption is only options? i though they would have a child together? (not adopt)
They probably will eventually but it's only been six months. So... at best your Tav would be pregnant lol
mmh, headcannon it is then@@Cassandra_Solidor
I think it’s because the tav is a gith not a human/elf/halfelf
mmh, idk if that would change it. but i just assume it's so you can still have the option even if you play male?@@oliversmithey723
Well, looking at the dialogue option, it makes sense that the Dark Urge wouldn't want to risk having a kid who could be influenced by Bhaal. Instead of risking passing down that urge, she can repay the adoptive family that took her in when she was a child.
Is she adopted no matter what or is she adopted because you're a Githyanki?
Probably adopted no matter, as the PC could romance Wyll as a man.
random ass question but if you romance wyll does karlach die 😭 I haven't finished my first playthrough where I am romancing astarion and I wanted to romance wyll for my next one but I heard that the only way to save her is to have either you or wyll become the blade of avernus and that would mean we are separated, right?
You can go to Avernus with them
Is there any dialogue option to have a biological child?
Are you still able to save karlach if wyll loses his powers?
What’s the dress mod? 👀
You have to adopt a child because you're a gith or a durge? Or if you play with another Tav race can you be pregnant instead?

wait how is his father alive?

I want this for my Durge and Astarion 😍😍😍😍
Honestly Wyll is such a bad character to be in the game. He screams main character energy but his writing took a huge hit when they decided to rewrite the entire act 1. The fact bro doesn't even have to be there for his own main quest sucks mad dick too. He's still my favourite Origin character to play though.
I disagree with you his writing
It makes me so sad bc I truly love him and find his dialog around his quests + Karlach really endearing, but a lot of it feels like there were scenes missing and we're having conversations like they were supposed to be there
Why is it always adoptions? Don't any video game heroes ever give birth to *their own* children anymore?!
