I appreciate you talking on the topics that are ‘taboo’ that people don’t want to talk about. But this was so helpful, really. Thank you and wish you both all the best ❤
THIS is beautiful, Evelyn. Having done a lot of personality work, you’re absolutely in the right place… “opposites attracts!” If you’re too much alike, you can tear each other up even more. My husband has been unwell and not worked for 18 years now. I find it hard but the emotional and often logical support I get from him is one of the biggest things that keeps me going. I could go on, but thank you for sharing your heartfelt story. I pray it inspires many to have those conversations that solidify their relationship whilst moving their business forward. 🥰
Thank you for being vulnerable Evelyn. This video will help others facing a similar situation. PS: Great job on the title!! One small tip: increase the audio volume next time, this video is a bit too quiet
Men in particular express empathy and care by stepping in to fix it. They don’t understand listening and just being there like women do. As an MD, I’m used to not talking about work with hubby. So I’ve carried it into now having a business. Yet I want him to understand when I’m not available because his love language is also quality time. I completely get your dynamic with your hubby because mine is similar except that my business is at the beginning and not yet successful. 😅 Communication is key. Period.
I went through a marriage crisis last year myself. It's wild how many things we assume incorrectly and how much changes when you both start clearly communicating your needs to each other. Great video, Evelyn. I was nodding with agreement all throughout it. I'm very glad you and your husband came to an understanding and managed to salvage your relationship.
Sehr hilfreiches Video, toll. Die verantwortungen bezueglich familie und business aufzuteilen ist nicht einfach. Und bei den verschieden Sprachen der Liebe geht ea mir ganz genauso wie Dir - acts of service und encouraging words ❤
I am sorry to hear that... One thing I realized about my parents is that their beliefs about what's possible says more about them than about me. It will change over time. Keep going and let the results speak.
I love that you shared this story Evelyn. I know it’s vulnerable to say things that aren’t working in your relationship, however a great way to connect and relate to others. My husband and I tried to have a business together early on in our relationship and wow it was a disaster 😅. We’ve learned a lot about each other since then and still have our challenges today. We’ve done work on this and have tools now to better communicate. Because as you said we often have these expectations of the other person and they of us and they aren’t the same 😮.

Mine is not supported by My dad, he wants me to join the conventional 9 to 5 grind
