Ahhh the amount of times I've clipped a piece off the sprue only for it to fly into the carpet. Very frustrating.
Interesting, I haven't painted any of my Gundams. But it makes sense that you would, especially to add the weathering you were talking about.

When the pieces do that a lot on me I've actually put a towel over my hand to keep them contained, or put a box over my hands haha... time consuming but it works !
