Just returned to playing 10 years later, this man is a life saver. Thank you much for your services
Woah have fun!! It can be overwhelming but what i love about mc is that you can take it as slow as you want
Do you like niggas
@DonaldDoesPepsi my brother in christ 2013 was around it's early release period, in fact about 1.5, which was when public perception of the game worsened because it was "cringe". it makes sense for somebody to stop then
@DonaldDoesPepsi 10 years? Stop trying to be a nigga
@DonaldDoesPepsi no
the old wools are so pretty, I think if they brought some of them back it would really add to the dye system and I would use wool a lot more
make wool 32 instead of 16
Honestly I agree. I really like the lighter colors. I wish we could change wool with dye like you can with leather armor, making more gradiented or tinted colors
Bro just turn on Programmer Art resource pack..
I like old wool's is pretty and I like the rose
@@haulapaula What? I don't think the Programmer Art pack adds any blocks to the game.
It's been 11 years since I played minecraft for the first time. I remember building some tower out of cobblestone and I didn't build roofs because I thought the blocks would fall (didn't know minecraft physics)
After almost 13 years of playing minecraft I never realised that planks have nails in them. I always just assumed it was the wood texture
I did, and I loved it.
Wait, they do?
@@just-a-fnf-fanmakes sense since they fit together lol
i'm still fairly sure those are just the parts where branches would've grown from, not nails. they're a bit random in their placement for nails
17:53 sand block just chilling, minding it's own business.
Eyecraftmc: I took that personally.
Minecraft classic was a fun little gateway into Minecraft when I was a kid. Eventually I scrounged enough money to buy beta and I've been playing off and on since. Strange to think that Minecraft is well over a decade old at this point.
I really do miss some of that old texturing and how vibrant everything was.
Maybe some joke biome could be added in the future that revolves around that classic look.
Oh the Biomes you'll Go, a biome mod, adds an alpha biome, with trees and foliage
Technically, the classic version you're playing in the video isn't even the original version, it's actually a recreation. Additionally, many features you described were not actually present in original classic such as the gold block texture or C418 music.
Edit: turns out that gold block texture was present in the very beginning, but was removed soon after
I was going to point that out too. I think there were older versions of the other sound effects too, but the version playable now uses newer versions.
according to the wiki the c418 music was added in 0.0.22a, the version in the video is a recreation of 0.0.23a_01 so music should've already been added
Yeah, I tried to tell him that.
The sky is the oldest thing in minecraft
1:22 unfair, 2 shades of green, 3 shades of blue and 4 shades of non-colors!!
Cobblestone is probably my most used material in the whole game across all of my survival worlds. I always make the frame of my house out of cobble, and then fill in the walls with wood or whatever I feel like using.
7:32 the fire in the background is just so hilarious, especially that he kept going with his narrating
I've played since spring 2012 (yep, 11 years now) and at the time a lot of the blocks looked like in the Minecraft classic edition... I'm not sure that I like how they change the ore blocks and how they all drop ores now, I did like that some were dropping ores and some blocks. But I guess it makes sense.
I miss the old ore textures
These are the most well done Minecraft videos I've watched - and I'm an infdev player.
I remember being so confused when it started raining in my Minecraft world for the first time. I was seven or eight. I don’t know if I count as a veteran player, I wasn’t there for alpha or beta but I joined several updates before pocket edition had the nether.
That...was over 8 years ago.
Considering the alpha is 14 years old, yeah, I'd say you're a veteran. You've been with it for over half of its entire life, including prerelease
17:01 surprisingly enough, clouds are one of the biggest graphics lag causers, up there with leaves and anything else with partial transparency. Turning clouds off entirely actually has a decent impact on performance, while the fast setting only has a noticeable difference on low end hardware. But tbh if your hardware is low enough for fast clouds to be instantly noticeable, just turn them off entirely lol. Like, there's a point and reason to fast clouds, it's just that any scenario that is helped by fast clouds would be helped even more by disabling them enitrely and setting the other setting to fast as well.
ngl i wished they kept the old wool colors it would be nice for builds
I dunno, I sort of like the old wools. I do wish there were more variety of colored blocks in different variants like stairs and slabs and walls
ah yes! the alpha "piss block"
lol
Block of yellow snow
Great video as always! Love replaying the videos and streams in the background of my game.
this is so interesting! it's nice to see how far the minecraft world has come
I wish Mojang would release an alpha/early beta texture pack for Bedrock edition. I grew up playing Minecraft in 2011 so I much prefer and am used to the older textures. I use Bedrock's current classic texture pack but it doesn't go back as far as I'd like
I started playing in alpha. I found some of my old posts on the Minecraft forums from ten years ago. One of them was a suggestion that they make a “crystal cave” you could stumble across with amethyst in it.
I just want to say, your channel is very helpful. You have greta tutorials that are easy and simple. You explain things slowly and don't speed through it like other tutorials. Thank you, and keep up this amazing content
#1, building #2, mining #3, crafting
The old rose will always bring back fond memories to me
Great video your the only minecraft youtuber i watch for tips tricks and even entertainment continue the great work
I am once again expressing an interest in your take on iron farms, both for bedrock and java. I'd be very interested in your approach to these ubiquitous concepts; you always have an elegant and crafty solution.
what an elegant gentleman
I used to play with my little cousins when the alpha was out. We still play 15 years later
I am finally coming back after one whole year without any video games! I couldn't watch these when I couldn't play because it would have been depressing
Is anybody else experiencing a serious Mandela effect with the old gold texture? I’ve literally never seen that old block texture before.
thats not how the mandela effect works lol
From what I understand it was only present for an extremely brief window. For most of classic they used that ugly gradient version. The version he's playing in this video isn't the original classic its a recreation made for the 10 year anniversary.
@@liver6513 As I understand it, it is. I’ve been playing Minecraft and watching Minecraft videos and researching the history of the game for about nine years. I should have encountered this fact before. I remember seeing a video on all of the old solid ore blocks ages ago, but I don’t remember ever seeing that one before.
@@thomasparsons4871 the Mandela effect is when you thought something was their but wasn't
Do you mean deja vu?
Dang the world border is so nostalgic
Bruh the classic wools were so much better
I would not use Minecraft Classic as a representation of old Minecraft.
i remember making a dirt base and falling into the void and getting kind of stuck
Your voice so soothing, what mic are you using?
The Modern JAPPA Gold Block looks like a remastered version of the very first texture of the Gold Blocks.
Glad to see they didn't change it completely
Use the betacraft launcher for newer old versions than classic 23 which was the July 2009 version, that was the game 3 months into development instead of a year or more January-February 2010 are some of the most interesting months for survival as infinite worlds were developed for the game in less than a year at the end of February though they don't save until late March 2010.
I like old glass and old Emerald block textures much more than new ones
old glass is fine on its own but in a window or bigger build it looks polluted, that's why I liked optifine
@@RafaelMunizYT man look at new one at bedrock... old one had borders visible but it was full of pixels so it wouldnt be bad really
New one on the other hand removed the pixels that did that effect and now it is just awfulp with all b9rders seen only as details
The fundimental deatures are still part of the base game
when i saw the old gold block i heard Skydoesminecraft screaming "BUTTERRR!!!"
Oldest Feature in minecraft today: Walking
Maybe in that tab where you can chose the world type (superflat, large biomes etc) maybe when can have a "classic world" option that generates worlds like they used to
would be cool
The dirt texture has literally never changed.
casually flying by the forest fire at 7:35, smokey is shaking in his boots rn
How does bro not have 1M subs yet
need the old wools back
Eyecraftmc could you plz tell Mojang to add a new mob called. [Mermaidvillagers] that just mean villagers underwater
There should be an option to enable 24/7 music
One old 'feature' is that fletching table got no use
Sorry to interrupt. Could I translate your video to other website? The videos are so helpful!
I feel so old, I bought Minecract when it was in alpha stage.. ;_;
Grass has still been around since minecraft has been released
I played in 2013 briefly, what version would have that been?
We should be able to smelt raw ore blocks into iron/copper/gold blocks
You wanna know another feature thats still there in the game tody it is mc itself
Back in the old days, you used to walk. You can still walk.
This doesn't look like the alpha release, and I don't believe sponges were part of the game yet. Classic seems to be its own thing.
Back in the alpha you could throw your almost broken pickaxe on the ground and pick it up at full health. Or change the time on your PC and move in super speed in game.
cobblestone existed even before the idea of minecraft existed
You forgot one of the oldest features ever
Walking
How did you forget about it?
Ah yes the budder blocks
I miss gold textures
Oh, the music… so noglastic😊
Is it me or are the old wool blocks so much better?
Since when was there beans in Alpha
Why does you have a shimmering sorta specular effect on a semi-transparent area where you can put blocks in your minecraft classic footage, I don't have that.
18:30 they aren't "oak" wood. Just wood.
Oak was a mistake, unlabeled wooden items should have remained unlabelled.
That way it would enable mixing any 2 wood type ingredients to get a default wood result, instead of the current "can't craft" limitation.
And since when do oak trees give apples...
And why do the bushes in jungle biomes have "oak" stems but jungle leaves ? That doesn't make sense.
It can only make sense if the original wood remained unlabeled
Did you change your mic
Classic gold is cursed.
Do you think the music artists will make new soundtracks for the 1.20 update?
Survival live when
nahh what did they do to the saplings 😭
How the hell do you find a mansion. I’ve explored dozens of seeds and can’t find one
back in my day moment when i find warden and sculk thingy i though i find herobrine because of dark effect thingy lol 😂
3:23 whats the point of having ores in game if your stuck in creative mode and cant get resources?
In alpha version I would just run around and find caves
Make video about disc relic new 1.20 disc
When will the streams come back??? 🤔
Raw gold block is actually much more valuable than gold block bc it contains xp if you smelt it
Keep this in mind if ur like me and build vaults 😊
ngl on my old school laptop i could only get like 16 fps so trust me, i had thos fast clouds on XD
but yeah now and days i dont notice any difference tbh it prolly dose nothing
Is the wool cmyk? Like photoshop
I That Minecraft, 20 years ago
The oldest feature of Minecraft is actually... blocks.
Surprising, isn't it?
Well, the feature is actually the use of a 3d tile map, which goes all the way back to before February 9th, 2009.
If you play on the xbox, all of this is still readily available.😎
Yo the new ore textures are not good in my opinion like the old ore textures were just gas ngl I came back and copper an iron look way too similar
Is it nails or just knots?
12:16 I actually kinda think this feature should be brought back but maybe only if its light level 0 above the grass though
When will MC 1.20 release ?
May 30
why do you have a mastercard logo on your lab coat?
He im a big fan 😁
Gold bean block
Minecraft classic Minecraft story mode and Minecraft Earth is deleted 😞😞😭
technically cobble and grass are the oldest
0:52 colour blind people be like:
There's a difference? O . O

It's my Birthday 🎂🥳
12:23 This functionality is still in the game, just not for grass. If I recall correctly, mycelium decays this way.
Can confirm that it doesn't with mycelium nylium or podzol. It will grow all the way into a cave down to bedrock if there is continuous dirt.

How did you get these emojis?
@@og_watermelon_cat
@@leonivanka6656 please tell me how
@@og_watermelon_cat
@@og_watermelon_cat just click the lil smiling emoji icon on the far left of the cancel button (i am on laptop so maybe it might be different if you are on mobile) if you are on mobile and you cannot see an option maybe u have to update the app or it might not be a feature on mobile
The oldest feature is walking
Big pan sr
15:54 the music in modern Minecraft isn’t actually random, a song will play once at dawn and once at dusk.
why didn't you play the real old minecraft?
