Friends, I hope you like this idea! Enjoy your viewing!
Note to self: make this out of 1 inch ply because I’m fat!
🤪😂
Nice job bud.
Why not just use a step ladder.... she still couldn't reach 😂
How about a link to a set of plans?
Sven Wagner ... lol for me I was thinking thick MDF
the big hinge ruined everything! made myself like that about 4 years ago. steps of 12 plywood into the groove and the joint is more careful. awesome chair!
Wow this is the smartest video on DIY that I've ever seen. 1st because the project is brilliant, 2nd because it's the 1st time that I've seen someone use mainly his own skills without an overly excessive workshop but using very basic tools to get the job done. Congrats buddy this is fantastic.
I'M GETTING SO OLD. When the young lady at the end stepped on the highest rung I couldn't help but think how unsafe that was.
She should’ve had a harness. LoL. J/k
Nah we youngins have the reflex’s of a cat.
@Ranzy Campbell I initially thought the same thing.
The top step had 2 load bearing legs underneath it.
Way too close to the tipping point.
Why girl in the end, should have been the man who building it.
Obviously her soft cotton socks helped her balance and improved her traction.
Dude! The trick with the nails and marking up a curve with the flexible straight edge is genius. Totally stealing that idea. :-)
It's called batten. We use in boat building sometimes
Sameee ❤️
@Min Ton Me TOO, it's awesome
@@wakamiwailer In the era before computers, some curves on blueprints were drawn with splines. They didn't use nails. At General Dynamics they used lead weights with wire hooks that held the splines in place. The weights were vaguely duck shaped, so they were called ducks. The pointy tail was used as a handle to get the angle right.
For moon rockets and other aerospace applications where an engineer with a slide rule did a bunch of calculations, the engineer would calculate exactly where the ducks should be placed.
In the early 1980s I was at a University working on Computer Aided Design software. The underlying math was based on non-uniform rational B-spline curves, which could model almost any curve.
They could be created several ways, one of which was to enter the list of points where the ducks were placed.
@@hamjudo cool. like lofting, but with more math and computers.
Can't wait to build one!!! Awesome idea. And to think that i was going to buy a little step ladder.
You taught me that skills are major for building my life the way I want to live

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing this!
Bro, ohyenno taburetky zaebenil !
Nice design. I've been meaning to make one of these for a while now, I like your design better than a lot of other's.
What a beast! Nice build!!
I actually never thought about something like this. What an amazing design. Thank you.
Lovely design, great build. Looks like something anyone with the right tools, a little patience, and a moducum of skill could do. Even some men... Nice vid!
Sweet design! I love it!
Nicely done with more modern look versus the older colonial era looks
I love the hole in the table so you can drill through it.
Simple, but I would have never thought of that.
Nice design. The stair treads need to be rabbeted into the side supports. The tread attachment is not acceptable to hold substantial weight. Plan for double the weight of an average person that might use it. Also, show what your making at the beginning of the video, rather than 7 minutes of build before your reveal.
Show, parabéns.
Sucesso.
A very nice project. I need to make one of these for my workshop 👍😎🇦🇺
Love the techniques man! Dope!
Wow. Will totaly make one of this!!!🔥
Love it well done mate.
love it. "her you go babe, now u can clean not just the baseboards but also the crowns, love ya xoxo" hehh~~
Super! Brilliant!
Brilliant thanks for posting 🇬🇧
Awesome! Good idea!
I'm from sri lanka.. you are the best!!!! Its so very creative.. genius
Wow that's a REALLY smooth jigsaw. And nice work!!
Looks nice, but NO WAY would I stand on any of those steps with just 2 screws and an un-glued butt joint on each side. I would expect this piece to collapse sideways with anyone but a small child on that top step. Take a bit more time, use a proper dado and some glue on the sides and make a piece that will last a while.
Yes its not sturdy enough...
I built one of these many years ago and I used dados on mine VERY STURDY! NICELY DONE VIDEO
Totaly true
Amen to lateral limberness and screws in shear in end grain plywood. Your library chair holds up to a slim built woman but a 220 lb man reaching to fit a flourescent tube?
The ends of the steps need to be let in to the - well - jack and the inside corners gusseted. The whole assembly needs to be glued and doweled for strength.
Gussets in the shape of a marine joiner's knee would be graceful and strong and complement the design, which, by the way, is very handsome.
You are 100% correct. This is extremely dangerous.
Brilliant! 💫
Great job !
I use desalt 20 volt and Milwaukee 12 volt drills and impacts at work too. I love them
Perfect project
Very nice 👍 great job I love it, thank you sir
man if you shift wrong on that thing its going to give you the meanest pinch on the bum.
cool build though!
Awesome NZ!
Gracias por enseñar tus ideas.
Pretty cool. You have an impressive arsenal of cordless tools
Thanks. Tool is my hobby
That’s a great build. Great job
Das nenne ich mal eine gute Idee! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Elegant! 👍
BRAVO!!! I do want to make this for a while and I just uploaded the plans! I will use denser wood. Thank you Men’s Craft from this woman! ❤️
And thank you!
Ms Cecilla, could Yu please guide me to the link of those plans uploaded by Yu.
Thanks in advance...🙏
- I like CLEVER people. I guess they never stop thinking. Great project.
I been halfway around the world in either direction and this is the best of the best ideas that I've seen in a while
Love this idea I was surprised you didn't glue
Great job....Well impressed.
That's way cool.
that's awesome~!!!
Felicidades buen video
Saludos desde México
Lo mas lindo! La modelo!¡
♥.♥ Thanks for this cool foldable chair.
Hey, I need one of those!
That was awesome 👍
Loved it
Very good job I would Love to have the plans to this it is amazing
Wow !!! 😯
Excellent.... 👌👌👌
Very nice idea. Cool
Very nice idea!
Great project idea. Definitely going to give this ago. I'll try to use pocket holes in my build to hide those and avoid the extra dowels. Also maybe a few more braces, because I am a portly fellow.
Einfach super. Thanks
Vielen Dank
Nice work👏👏👏👏👌❤

Clever well done👍

BRAVO!!!!!!!!
That's Amazing Crafting
Fantastic....
Cool idea 👍👏👏
I really want the plans for this it’s great
I want to seen you stand on top step as built... good luck
Would not hesitate and stand on one foot while doing it. I have landing harder from falling out of airplane then that little maybe fall. Lol and have confidence in your body mind and soul!
Muito bom.adorei
WoW good!
Where did you get your big square/ruler with the holes in it? That’s a really cool and helpful tool.
8405 - FramingSquare500 (Imperial) on Milescraft.com
Wolfcraft do a similar model I biught mine through a 'certain' on line retailer named aftef a forest!
Waoo nice 👏🏻👏🏻🤓
Where could I buy the plans for this? I really enjoyed the video!!
