Superb mate. The second blue hour one was outstanding. I like your favourite one but for me the second was the best just the way the light was hitting them groins and the way the white of the wash was fantastic.
Hi Gary great video super images its a great place to go i have been there thee times this year really appreciate what you do very inspirational what you do many thanks pat
I really liked the last one with the rocks in the foreground, and the blue hour pics turned our really good. Another great video it was worth watching till the end.
My favourite was the one shown directly after talking to Jack Love the foreground interest using the rocks. For once I preferred the colour version over the mono Lovely moody image
To add . I was inspired by this channel to try long exposure. So I went out for the first time with ND filter it was 5stop. used Canon 1dx3 with 70-200 at F32 iso 50 and only managed to get 10 seconds at best. Still loved the outcome of waterfalls though. Just ordered a 10stop ND filter.
Conventional wisdom would suggest mono for these images, but tbh I prefer the colour versions. I particularly like your final image with the rocks in the foreground.
Thanks for posting the video, it was very good 😊 Could I ask a quick question regarding 15 stop filters, I own one, but when I use it there always seem to be , what look like water drops marks on the image, but my images are fine with the 10 stop, all are clean, but can't work it out, any ideas much appreciated, thanks
@GaryGough thanks for getting back to me, to be honest I haven't tried 8 minutes, but my 10 stop is good for 2 minutes 😅 I will have to give a longer exposure a try with tge 10 stop. Thanks for your thoughts 😊
Hello! good video. Very inspirational actually. I had a question as to, this may seem weird, but what drone are you using for the overhead shots? I checked out the link to your gear but didn't mention any drone gear. Thanks!
A nice video Gary and interesting compositions, but like warm toned film Velvia landscapes, or HDR digital, isn’t it time to move on in photography from 10 stoppers? I mean how often do people need to photograph essentially the same thing? If you can see waves crashing they will be different waves, turning everything milky and they become all the same wave.
@@GaryGough no hardly personal choice, it’s peer pressure, copying photos others have made of groynes and such like is an epidemic, you don’t even need to find your own subjects never mind think for yourself how to interpret them.
That shot where you wanted a higher tide but still the end of the groyne could have been done with two exposures comped together. Would have taken commitment but could have been done

Thank God you didn’t scrap this video because of the audio. It would be my dream to get images like that. Bravo Gary 👍🏻
Merci Gary, toujours de bon conseil, j'aime votre style c'est apaisant
I have an ND filter 10 i must get myself a 15 ND filter those pictures come out lovely 😍
The fine art shots work best in monochrome for me.
The defective audio was no problem for my enjoyment, thanks.
Cheers 👍👍
Those 8 minute exposures were outstanding! The audio wasn’t bad at all, I am glad you went ahead and produced this video. Thanks Gary!
Awesome, thank you! 👍👍
This video is a testament to your skills. The photography is as usually great and your work around the audio problem was brilliant done. Thank you

Outstanding again Gary!

Love the foreground interest using the rocks.

Lovely moody image
For me Gary 15:00 is fine art style, my favourite from the set, I find a sense of place in it. But they are all cracking images 👌👌
Cheers 👍👍

Love your "fine art" work Gary. But, if I may ask how you make the horizon dissappear. I've always been intrigued by this technique.
Cheers. Re blending the horizon, I’ve made videos on the subject. Take a look garygough.co.uk/members-only

It might be a flaw with your 15-stop filter. Does it happen with really long exposures i.e. an 8-minute exposure with your 10-stop?
@GaryGough thanks for getting back to me, to be honest I haven't tried 8 minutes, but my 10 stop is good for 2 minutes 😅
I will have to give a longer exposure a try with tge 10 stop. Thanks for your thoughts 😊
Great video as always. Why didn’t you consider at one image with rocks in the foreground to be fine art?

Thank you. I'm still using my DJI Mavic Pro 1 👍👍

When shooting so long, do you have an issue with hot pixels?
Not with my Nikon Z8 no m8 👍👍
Lovely photos ❤ can you consider you composition as a minimalist
Of course, you?
