Nothing like a good wind storm to increase your level of enthusiasm and enjoyment in photography! Who cares about a little rain, your gear can handle it! I am happy you enjoyed your time there and came away with some amazing shots! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
Lovely shots Gary. I love going to the rocky area during a storm to get some big waves crashing over them. You can't help but stay there for hours because each wave is different, and I love the wild weather with the wind, but not too much wind.
Beautiful shots again Gary 👍 My local camera club judges would have dissed your initial wave images, saying a further point of interest would have completed the shot. Unfortunately as you know, we can’t just conjure up a surfer when we need one!🙄 Mind you, I am sure you wouldn’t have minded some surfers or wind surfers etc. Been on Norfolk coast all weekend but my only shots were band action as I was attending a rock and roll festival. 👍📸
That is a stunner Mr. Gough. Looks like you moved all of 100 yards to create some of the most dramatic stuff I’ve seen you do. Next job, research some locations within 2 hours of my SE England home.
We were in Harris and Lewis until last weekend. It was awesome, with conditions just like you had. It was exhilarating to be there. Your video really captured the tremendous atmosphere and brought back such great memories.
All these shots look very impressing to me and the fast shots with the long telephoto are really awesome. I enjoyed your video and comprehend your enthusiasm, Gary. Thank you ever so much for sharing!
Absolutely brilliant Gary. Those waves were amazing. No wonder you spent so long at the first location. You captured some so image's as usual. Catch you on the next one.
Great video, Gary! I live about a 40 minute drive from the coast of Central California so will be using your info as I study our crashing waves. I see that you appear to be using the Canon 5D Mark IV. I have a 5D Mark III and wonder if it might be advantageous to trade for a Mark IV? I primarily perform landscape and macro flower photography, but occasionally car shows and shots of airplanes flying by and overhead. Thanks for your seaside video!
In order to get the dramatic shot you often need lively weather conditions. I find the wind buffets the camera on the tripod in those conditions therefore losing sharpness of image. Is my tripod just not good enough of is there a trick that I am not aware of?
Loved it, so exciting. A few weeks ago I went to Crosby when storm Ashley was giving us a battering up here in the NW. Took some half decent shots of the waves, nothing like these monsters here but I got a right drenching in the process. Good job the good old D810 was weather sealed, more than I could say for myself. A couple of gems there Mr Gough.
Sorry, but imo your enthusiasm surpassed the majority of your images! Too much piece to camera, not enough images. Sometimes 5 seconds works well. You have done better videos.
You can almost see the boyhood Gary trying to escape from inside middle aged Gary with all the excitement.. superb. 👍
Love the diversity of your photography Gary!
I love your excitement. I enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Magnificent!
brilliant photos as usual but I come here for your unbounded enthusiasm. It makes me happy. Thanks for these videos, Gary.
Many thanks 👍👍
That last shot , monochrome , with the trails of the water across the beach near the rock 😍
After that intro I was half expecting it to cut to you guys discovering something that would be at home in The Thing.
Great job. I don't think I've ever met a happier man in my life. Great job! You're what photography is all about
Kind of you to say Charles. Thank you 👍👍
Fantastic

Well done Gary, I’m sure if you leave the coast without salt on your camera you’re disappointed 🤣🤣.
I hope you gave the camera a good clean after

You and your mate were stood on a lovely composition, the grass foreground then the stones, followed by the sea waves. Great video as always

Another great vlog Gary, it was nice bumping into you by Mangersta beach.

I'm using a Nikon Z8. I also have a 5D MKIV though. It's a great camera, but not a massive leap from the MKIII
Fab Gary, really enjoyed that one. Any chance you could send a grid ref of the first location you were in please?
Great vid as usual Gary Can I ask how many pictures you actual took of this waves, ?
Cheers 👍👍
What focal length did you use on the wide shots? Thanks.
Gary, Which wide angle lens?
In order to get the dramatic shot you often need lively weather conditions. I find the wind buffets the camera on the tripod in those conditions therefore losing sharpness of image. Is my tripod just not good enough of is there a trick that I am not aware of?
Long exposures in windy conditions require a very sturdy tripod. Even then, you can struggle.

So this is just a commercial??
