Saving us all money as usual brother , your videos have literally saved me over a grand due to showing me how to do my own work in easy clear concise steps ...helping us all 🤙
Use the socket to hit the bush in from the start, so if you dont hit exactly flat, it won't matter, the socket WILL be flat on the bush and you wont create any burs on the soft metal. Hydraulicing them out with bread or grease only works when you have a mostly complete seal, an open socket can't work with an escape route down the middle. a bolt slightly smaller than the ID works, a machined rod is perfect. Good job man.
Getting this done on my 2005 Civic Si EP3. My shop told me that the front suspension has to be dropped to access the clutch and replace it. I'm getting an Exedy stage 1. Should have it back in about one week.
Im really on the fence about doing this myself. will be the biggest undertaking for me mechanically. Oh well gotta replace my valve cover and vtec solenoid gaskets first then will think about this.
Great video, Maybe you can help me out. I've been trying g to help my nephew put a trans in his 2003 rsx...but it feels like it doesn't want to go together with the motor. We did use alignment too when putting in. I was thinking, the Intermediate shaft is still on motor and we're trying to line that up plus bolt trans to motor....should we just take that off and put intermediate shaft on after trans is bolted up? Thanks!
the intermediate shaft could definitely be the cause, I always remove it when removing a transmission and install it last. Also make sure the pilot bushing in the crank is not damaged.
Thanks for the video bro! I just did mine a few days ago and now the car won’t start. any idea of what could of happen? car was running fine before replacing the clutch
my ep3 si clutch finally went out today i just order all the parts i will be removing the subframe an trans while the parts get here its my first time doing a clutch i will pick up some engine degreaser a torque wrench at my local O Rielys
I have an 02 rsx and I need to do the same thing to it. But for some reason my clutch pedal is set up high. Is there a way I can adjust it to make it release sooner?
I have a 06 rxs base with a type s trans in it before I replaced the clutch it was hard to shift and it wanted to die when I pushed the clutch in. So I replaced the clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing shift great now but the car still want to stall when pressing the clutch it. Im lost on what it could be
Simple question do you have to adjust your pedal clutch engagement after you install FX 300 clutch master I just replaced my clutch few days ago and it engages at the very floor when you’re trying to release is it normal? it doesn’t feel like it’s a OEM or close to OEM
Hey, so I just got my flywheel resurfaced and they said one of the dowel pins broke in the process. It is the stock flywheel and I was wondering if it is fine for me to use. Or it's risky. The car is a daily driver and I am putting in a stage 1 and probably will be doing light racing.
Got a clutch and flywheel replaced but now a trans light came on, have you ever gotten a trans light after replacing a clutch/flywheel ever?...thanks in advanced
@@zahkarii7933 it was a check engine light for me actually, guy who installed the clutch broke the sensor so it was showing on the dashboard, got it fixed though no problems since thankfully
This video is the main reason I did my clutch install by myself without paying a shop. Thanks man you saved me a ton of money.
How did the clutch hold up? I'm about to tackle this myself
I'm about to replace my clutch and had no idea that the subframe has to come out definitely saved me some time and headache lol thanks man!
Abel Zamudio yes i hate i had to take mind out also

Glad to know what I am gonna have to do to my RSX when I have to replace the clutch.
Sticking bread up your car holes was the ultimate DIY advice.

If you replace the ball the fork pivets on what would be the torque
When I’m done installing , do I need to add brake fluid to the clutch reservoir?
Comp clutch or Twin Disk The way to go for great gab daily & race.. #Respect 🙊🙏
I just got an 05 RSX and in the future I’m sure I’ll be changing it so thanks bro

Did you take the starter off ?

If you toast the bread will it work better?
What would you say is the hardest step when doing this on your own?
Reinstalling the subframe?
Is getting new flywheel bolts not needed ?
"Stick to using bread... Or you can just use the right tool."
Haha..
I've been using the bread method for many years. Always worked for me.
I have an 02 rsx and I need to do the same thing to it. But for some reason my clutch pedal is set up high. Is there a way I can adjust it to make it release sooner?
Do you still work for customers
Hey man that's a great video. I like the way you explain and find the best way to complete a job... thanx.

I'm having a hard time taking out the ball joint from the lower control arm
can we use something other than bread? My car is gluten free.
How long does this job usually take solo?
Christopher Diaz took me 3 hr to do my rsx wit no stoping
Good how to video on doing the clutch.
Instale el flywheel 11 libras y el clutch competition stage 3 pero mi carro no acelera solo acelera a las 3 rpm no se que hacer
So I did evey step and wen I got it back together it won’t engage
I have a question

yes, you have to readjust your pedal.
SERGMOTIVE GARAGE Would you be so kind to make a little video regarding to it
I want upgrade my clutch and fly wheel but my mechanic says I have to reflash my ecu for make it work, is it true?
i think you should find a new mechanic lol no thats not true.

no i wouldnt recommend it, get a new one
@@SERGMOTIVEGARAGE Where do you recommend I get one? I need one quick and I just want a OE spec one, nothing light or anything
Where are you located bro??
hey can you do an install video. step by step for the skunk2 pro series intake manifold and throttle body install
i would love too, i just dont have the parts to make that video.
Question I just did my clutch now my rsx cranks but no start what can it be
josh cordero ws the started aligned and tighten and did you remember the ground wire on the trans re look over everything you took apart
you did not show us which bolts/nuts to work on... we just learned that you already put down the transmission
that bread part, you didn't show that it got remove... you cut the camera then showed us it has been removed already... why is that?

Any update?

You did a lot of stuff you didn't have to do bro. lol I should've made a video of my Exedy Stage II install.
Jujutsuheiho he did it properly no shortcuts 🙅♂️ do it right once so you don't have to worry about anything later
I've done this more than once. I get the same results with less effort.
Jujutsuheiho what steps did he not have to do? lol I will be ordering a clutch soon and will be installing it on my own
Make the video then foo
I will soon as I have to do it again. Which i'm sure I will; since I want LSD.
