Hey everyone todays video is about the a bunch of abandoned mansions that are for sale and on the market today! These houses aren't McMansions or wanna be mansions all these homes listed in this video are old school mansions with a cool past. These houses have amazing history and tons of character and its really a shame that they are now falling apart and for sale. Naaah...its Frekky at night and it's soo big.dont need a Big house if you are only a Couple.its a waste i would say.We used to Had a 5 bedrooms plus Media room and activities room two story then we realised we don't need it so we sold it and bought a just Small house.
Yes! I barely make enough money on my job to keep a roof over my head. I wish I could serve as a live-in caretaker in one of these properties
I like some of the French homes, but while the purchase price is enticing, the taxes that those jurisdictions assess are way more than the initial cost. Plus, once you improve those properties, your tax assessments go up accordingly, making it counterproductive to do any improvements. I just don't know why those municipalities don't exempt those properties from the onerous taxes to stimulate their own economies. An abandoned property just sits there and nobody pays taxes, so why not exempt them and get their local economies stimulated. But I guess that makes too much sense!
You are so right, I think these places would be great for close families an relatives to live in an share the cost an fix up. The way our society is today that seems to easy to do, cause families and relatives are nothing like years ago. But I totally agree with you on taxes...

There are plenty of castles for sale in France. A lot of them for a low sum. But all of them will need extensive renovations and thus will become really expensive

The big reason why a lot of these are still on the market is it's not just about taxes, it's a lot of the restrictions to modernize the properties infrastructure...

The beautiful house in Hudson, New York is a grand home to be sure. It is also, regrettably, a semi-detached home in that it shares a common wall with its mirror image next door. The house next door is occupied.
Some of these could be boutique hotels. Imagine checking into one of these!

Not only would they take a fortune to update, but a fortune to maintain. Not too many people want to spend their entire savings on a larger than life home.
There’s tons of amazing mansions in chicago, I don’t think this scratched the surface of the largest mansions that are still intact.

These are some structural but mostly cosmetic issues, I’m wondering what’s going on with the foundations or the land itself. Like is there standing water underneath? Is the whole thing sinking?

I would not want a huge mansion.. my 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom with full basement is enough for me… cleaning , upkeep, bills PLUS, the creep factor.. the feeling someone is IN the house, NOPE.. not for me.. but the architecture and history are super cool!

Some of the valuations you see are too good to be true. Ask yourself why this is. Let me help you:
1. There is a colossal amount of work to be done requiring possibly upwards of US $ 1,000,000 in restorative work.
2. These Grande Houses , even when up and running, require an army of servants to make everything work with huge on-going expenses.
3.There is "much history." Translated, it means people lost their lives in some of the buildings, from, Masters to Mistresses to servants, to slaves, and even visitors. What spooks the attics, basements and corridors after midnight is a frightening morass of occult and the paranormal. You really don't want to go there. Do you know how to deal with resident Demons?
4. Previous owners have attempted the restoration work and have failed. What qualities have have got which they hadn't?
5. Can you conquer all these hurdles? If you can honestly answer "Yes," then this may be for you. Good Luck!
I lived in a haunted house for 18 months, that entity even caused my grandfather to get I’ll and he passed away. After it, the neighbor mentioned to me that the stairs designed reminded him of a coffin from the 1800’s and he mentioned also that there was something going on in there that people won’t last living there. Previous tenants showed up at my door and asked me if everything was ok in the house, I said besides the non invited guest (entity) the rest was ok. I was not the only one seeing it, my family seen it too. It was on my attic that it was connected with my kitchen.
@@heather4089 Heather -- Many people laugh at you if you mention ghosts or the paranormal. But Jesus mentions them in the Bible . Once he drove many demons from a man into a herd of pigs which then ran into deep water and drowned themselves. So they do exist. Ignore them at your own peril. The presence of demons is a major reason why families suddenly abandon their palatial homes, leaving everything as it was the hour they were forced to vacate the property, as their lives were in mortal danger.
Do you honestly believe this home is worth this? The renovation would cost more then what you are selling it for.

I have dreams that come true. I can predict the winner of the 2023 NBA finals and 2024 NFL Superbowl. I'm looking for someone to bet on my dreams. Last season I believed the Celtics were going to win the finals and Stephen A Smith believed that the Warriors were going to win the finals. I had a dream that me and Stephen A Smith played a game called "Connect 4." Stephen A Smith won the game in the dream so that's how I knew the Warriors were going to win the Finals. Last NFL season during the first week, I had a dream that the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super bowl which they did. The Superbowl before that I had a dream of the rams with the number 23. The Rams won with 23 points. I believe the Suns will win the 2023 NBA Finals because of a dream I had like two months ago. If the Sun's make it to the finals message me.
Every one of these is the very definition of a Money Pit. Massive reno costs, staggering maintenance and upkeep, not to mention taxes and utilities that would choke a Vanderbilt. Low priced?? Maybe for Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk. 😂
