As someone who works there it goes it a tray filled with sauce that it covers it up. The sauce is poured into the tray and the McRib goes it on top but sinks with the sauce.
The McRib is the greatest reoccurring item McDonald's has produced in years. I could care less if it's a fake rib, it's the best tasting sandwich they have on the menu. I know it's a huge hit in Wisconsin where I live. I usually buy 3 everyday untill they go away again.
I read an article about the McRib that said McD’s brings it back periodically because the self-created rarity gives them a lot of free advertising when it returns. The ad also said that McD’s would likely lose money on it if it was a permanent item because it’s not really that popular. Finally, don’t worry, the Lions will be cranking out winless seasons again before you know it. Rad video!!! 🤘🏻
So basically, the McRib is like that friend who only shows up at parties - keeps things exciting but we all know it’s not sticking around! And hey, with the Lions, we might as well start a support group!
R I P to Christ mom and thank you for the story time of your mom It is always great to hear about her when you two are doing a food review that reminds you of her gone but not forgotten
Good evening my friends. I would be one of those that LOVE the McRib. I have never missed having one or two every time it comes out. I love all the BBQ sauce and the onions and pickles. I love how it comes together and also dipping my fries in the left over BBQ sauce. That is so good. I remember then they came out in the 80s and was a fan ever since. I am so glad they did not leave for good. They did come out here in Wisconsin last year in the selected markets and I was happy about that. Did you hear they are also selling the BBQ sauce this time around. In big jugs I guess. Not sure if I would get that, but it is good stuff. I also remember the Cheddar Melt in the 80s and I wish they would being that back. That was SOOO good. It was like a patty melt. The cheese was great on that. Well, hope you had a great weekend. Mine was pretty nice. Now we are bracing for some winter temps coming this week. I guess winter is about to make its appearance just in time for December. God bless my friend!
Ah, the McRib: the sandwich that brings back memories of 80s nostalgia and BBQ bliss! Who needs a time machine when you have this delicious masterpiece in your hands? Am I right? :) I gotta get just one when they come back and I'm good. That big half gallon of sauce they were selling this year sold out in less than 5 min. Wow - there are some serious fans out there. Yes, let's have them bring back the Cheddar Melt next!! Good memories. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and a great Thanksgiving with your family. God bless!
You ever have that thing where you get sick and the last thing you ate becomes possibly unfairly off-limits for a long time, if not forever? McRib is the only thing where that's happened and I went right back to another one as soon as I got better lol
@ right, especially when we do the food reviews it’s like ugh lol. For me that 3 for me at chilis is such a great deal for $10.99. But I’m gonna have to hit up McDonald’s because can’t let the McRib go without eating it at least once in this rotation. Love your videos and they just started popping up on my feed
That's awesome to hear! Working at McDonald's must have been a unique experience. It's always interesting to see how things have changed over the years!
After the pork is cooked on the grill, it is submerged into a tray of the BBQ sauce and left to marinate. The taste is better if they marinate in the sauce for a while before eating it. Originally, McRib's were soaked in the sauce in an actual marinator (similar to a steam table restaurant set-up.)
I also remember them saying they were retiring it for good last year or the year before? Lol. The McRib has retired and unretired more times than Brett Favre and Tom Brady combined 😂
I always get a McRib each year to remind myself how much I prefer smoking my own ribs. But it’s not bad when you are in a pinch. And I agree with Vito, the Big Mac is the McGoat. 😎
It sounds like you've mastered the art of rib appreciation! The McRib is the reminder that even fast food can have its moments of glory-just like the Big Mac!
Another cool review! Trying a limited-edition item each time it resurfaces only to remember that it's not that good! That's basically me with the Shamrock Shake each spring lol As a pescatarian, I've got to go against the grain: the McDonald's GOAT (for me, at least) is the Filet-o-Fish or the Egg McMuffin (without bacon). Definitely my go-tos! Have a great Thanksgiving week, dudes. I'm thankful that you post these informative and entertaining videos!
Ah, the Shamrock Shake-the seasonal heartbreaker! Stick with those classics like the Filet-o-Fish and Egg McMuffin; at least they won’t let you down! Have an awesome Thanksgiving week!
There's always banquet "backyard bbq meal" at stores when they take the mcrib away again lol! It works ... It's been a lonnnng time but I've done it before all you need is mini sub buns, pickle chips and an onion, the sauce might be different then McD's but it can be rinsed off and marinated/soaked in your own favorite bbq sauce instead ... So good if not better lol! Great review but there is only one good thing too go to McDonald's for and that would be the QPC and yes Vito is right McD is best known for the Big Mac. Take care and have a happy Thanksgiving week, and a good one!
I just started asking my local McDonalds to make it without sauce. I then bring it home and add my Sweet Baby Rays. No soggy bread. I wont ever order a McRib with their sauce again.
I’d definitely choose the Big Mac over the McRib. The McRib has too much BBQ sauce and pickles, and there’s something about the meat that doesn’t sit right with me. I just don’t get its popularity. The Big Mac and Quarter Pounder variations are easily the best items on the menu.
The fish sand (now too expensive) and McRib are the only McDonalds food items I actually like. But as you say, those long stretches between its being offered make you forget what it tastes like. Thanks for the reminder. RIP to your mom.
I absolutely love the McRib (no idea why lol). It's one of those stupid simple things that make me happy each Fall. I tried to get the gallon of sauce this morning that was sold for the Ronald McDonald House charities. I was on the site as it opened, and it sold out in under 60 seconds! I didn't score one. Happy Thanksgiving, y'all.
The McRib really does have a special place in our hearts! It's great to see how much joy it brings you each Fall. Sorry to hear about the sauce; those things go fast! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
It's time to try and make/eat The Noah's Ark (All the meat patties in one sandwich--beef, chicken, fish, and pork). It's the Air, Sea, and Land sandwich plus the McRib patty. The GOAT for me is the (Double) QPC because its my favorite burger even over the Big Mac.
As someone who works there it goes it a tray filled with sauce that it covers it up. The sauce is poured into the tray and the McRib goes it on top but sinks with the sauce.
not true we can pull it out for people who want light sauce and the only get sauce on the patty . we even keep some for those that want no sauce
This is what I was wondering, thank you!!
When I asked for no sauce and sauce on the side last year, they said they couldn't do it. So, they be lying to me?
@@badrus10 Yes, you can do it cook to order.
@@ChrisFrezza Certain stores do I guess. Like at my store we do not charge for extra sauce for nuggets.

It's wild how our minds associate food with experiences like that! Glad you could dive back into the McRib after your recovery!
Happy Thanksgiving Chris and Vito
Thank you! Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!
I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Just crazy how the prices has gotten on fast food
Right? At this point, I feel like I need to take out a loan just to buy a burger! 🍔💸

I cant believe how much the son sounds like the actor Clark Duke! Its literally SPOT on and he's not even doing anything but talking!
Who???
@@ChrisFrezza Look up Clark Duke (he kinda just stopped acting a few years ago) from hot tub time machine.
He looks more like Andy Milinokus
I even worked at McDonald’s then when it first came out and had it then! They really need to have it rapped up!
That's awesome to hear! Working at McDonald's must have been a unique experience. It's always interesting to see how things have changed over the years!

Ah, the secrets of the BBQ sauce marination! Who knew the McRib had such a luxurious soaking routine? If only we could join it for a swim!
I also remember them saying they were retiring it for good last year or the year before? Lol. The McRib has retired and unretired more times than Brett Favre and Tom Brady combined 😂
It's true! The McRib has definitely had its fair share of comebacks. It keeps us all guessing, doesn't it?

I've bought them just in a meat type package precooked with no sauce.
Yo, I’m totally stealing that BBQ idea next time the McRib goes MIA! You’re making me hungry just thinking about it. Happy Thanksgiving, friend!
McRib is the greatest sandwich ever created!!!
If you say so! :)
I order the McRib at my McDonald’s today and they just gave me a Big Mac covered in green dirrea
Bruh
I just started asking my local McDonalds to make it without sauce. I then bring it home and add my Sweet Baby Rays. No soggy bread. I wont ever order a McRib with their sauce again.
That's a good idea. They only did that for me one time, other times they said it wasn't possible. Must be my lazy location.
McRib is da GOAT!
Absolutely! The McRib has a special place in the hearts of many fast food lovers. It's definitely a unique treat!
It's the Quarter Pounder for me as the best item
The Quarter Pounder definitely has a special place on the menu! It's hard to beat that classic flavor.
I BELIEVE THEY COOK IT IN THE SAUCE. 😋
😎👍

Ah, the classic debate: Big Mac vs. McRib. It's like choosing between a trusty umbrella and a rain dance-you know which one will keep you dry!
It’s my favorite McDonald’s in the area. South Cove right by Lakeside.
Yes sir! 😎👍
I’ll take audiobooks for $800, Alex!
Bingo!!!
Need a chicken version or vegetarian.
A chicken version? I guess we're just winging it then! But don’t worry, I’ll make sure the vegetarian option is egg-cellent too!
$8.59 at Quartzsite AZ McDonald's... 👀
Yikes
McDouble or double quarter pounder with cheese is the goat to me
Totally feel you on that! Can't go wrong with either one!
I think I’m skipping the McRib this year. Maybe I’ll hit speedway up for thier bbq rib sandwich. Or maybe I’ll do a comparison of the two.
A BBQ rib showdown? Sounds like the culinary battle of the century! May the best rib win!
IS THE SAUCE EVEN NEARLY AS GOOD AS IT WAS???🤔
I think so! It's definitely plentiful too!

Hello Chris frezza i drink mtn dew pitch black from seven eleven again this year
Congrats!!
Top 3 mcdonalds items
Big mac (personally i prefer mcdouble)
Nuggets
Mcrib
Great choices! The Big Mac, Nuggets, and McRib are definitely fan favorites. What do you love most about them?
@ChrisFrezza I guess they are all soft but Crunchy and you really eat them for the way the sauce tastes 😂
It does it taste good?
Watch the video and find out.
I don't think it's the same barbecue sauce as before it has a bad aftertaste I hate that cuz I'm always waiting for the McRibs
A bad aftertaste? Sounds like the barbecue sauce needs to take some flavor lessons! Here’s hoping they get it right before the next McRib season!
I absolutely love the McRib (no idea why lol). It's one of those stupid simple things that make me happy each Fall.

Right? The McRib is legendary! Your dad must have some cool stories from behind the counter!
