I tried the McRib for the first time ever and I really liked it! The sauce and onions are my favorite thing about the sandwich. I agree with George that the item should continue to be on the menu! So happy I just found your channel! I love how you interact with your sweet Dad! ❤️

@mamabynature - Have to agree with Penny here, however its worth trying once! Add lettuce and mayo and ask for less sauce I'd my tip. If you are all near the upper Midwest, Kwik Trip convenience stores have a much better version, less expensive and have a condiment station to add what you like. Also, they do not drown it in sauce! Keep us posted if you try one, or the McRib 🙂

You are right Penny there is something off with that McRib sandwich that don't taste like pork. It's like process meat. I don't know why McDonald is so cheap with some of it's products they make billions of dollars and can't afford to use real pork in that sandwich? Shame on them.

The last time I had a McRib sandwich was during the Covid pandemic, it was slathered in so much strong hickory BBQ sauce that I could barely eat it. Haven’t had one since! But thanks for the review I’m happy Dad enjoyed it and Wow, he gave it a score of 10! McDonald’s may have improved it! May have to give it another try! Thanks Penny and George!

My husband has always raved about the McRib but I was afraid to try it - afraid I’d get a bone! But I really should have known they wouldn’t have spent the kind of money on pork that would have involved bones. It’s probably a chopped product. So I’m gonna try it! Thanks for sharing with us! 💕

I am with you, Penny. Sometimes I forget that I actually don't like it and end up trying it all over again but the results are always the same. I looked up the ingredient cuz I was curious after you mentioned it. This is what the google says about that... Ingredients in the Mcrib patty: Pork Water Salt Dextrose Preservatives, such as BHA, BHT, and propyl gallate Rosemary extract Liquid smoke

George did really well at not getting sauce on his white T-shirt. However, if I eat one, the sauce always lands on my shirt, and I pretty much expect it to happen now every time. It's a like thing for me, I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I'm ok with it staying a sometimes offer at McD's.
I love the McRib, but I love Salisbury steak too lol. But yes it's pork, but it was designed to get rid of unused pork scraps that would have went to waste, not unlike hotdogs.
I love the holiday pie! I wish it can be around all year long. Mcdonald's McRib sandwich may not be as good as Arby's version, but it is still not bad for the price. Still cheaper than Arby's. Definitely a messy sandwich though, you wouldn't catch me eating that one inside of the car, haha.
I enjoyed my McRib tonight. 😃 Love the bbq sauce, onion, and pickle. I saw The Trent added extra onion. I will do that next time. I’m an onion lover. Only negative is you need about 4 napkins when you eat it. 😂
I like the idea of a BBQ Rib Sandwich (really a sausage patty). To tell the truth, a local convenience/gas station shop, aka roller dog joint, does a good job for their version. Don't know what regular price is, but frequently on sale for under $4.00 including tax. That's the only time I buy them. I buy them for a quick light lunch at work.
I consumed 1 Mcrib when it 1st came out back in the day. '82 or '83 . Have not even thought about it since then.... Now I have watched 2nd mcrib review today! ✌️🙏
The patty is pork but it is the left overs so it doesn't go to waste (money). The same patty only shaped differently and seasoned to the likes of the restaurant chain that has ordered it. Same meat in short but different shapes and sizes.✌️🙏
I saw the advertisement for the 64 ounce bottle of McRib sauce being sold at some locations for $19.95. It is true. Another channel on U-tube covered that menu item. Note: I have never had the McRib sandwich.

I have three McDonald's within 1 1/2 miles of my apartment. The one to the south has McRib for 4.49, the one to the east has it for 5.59 and the one to the north has it for 6.09...quite a difference, so when you're using their app change locations to another close location and check the prices, you may save a lot by using another location close by.

I personally have never liked the McRib. My spouse who passed away in 2022 absolutely loved it, but I would not care to try it again. I think McDonalds should keep it because dad (Mr. George) says so ❤🥰
Absolutely love the Mcrib!! Had my 17 year old son make me one over a week ago when they were practicing making them!! Perk of having a McDonald's worker in the family!! Lol
I haven’t had a McRib in years. I just got one for lunch and it was better than I expected. Unlike almost all the reviews I have watched mine did not have too much sauce. It could have used just a touch more, definitely not dripping sauce everywhere.
When they said they were ending it 2 or 3 years ago, I got one and it was bad. The pork was dry and the sauce was very watery and lacked flavor. Looks like they are using a thicker sauce now, so I may try one again.

I love everything about the McRib. I’m with George. I think they should always have it. I know some people hate it but they don’t have to order it. It’s the only reason would go to McDonalds because I think other places do everything better.
I know Y'all dont have Kwik Trip convenience stores in OH (yet) - but to the upper Midwest family if you think this is good, their version is about half the cost, way less sauce and tastes much better. They have a condiment station and I add extra onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, black pepper, and pickle relish vs. pickles. pro tip, bring it home and toast the buns! 🙂
I think the pork quality is better than the frozen dinner banquet type. And they grill it first and then dip in the sauce. I used to like them but now dont eat pork. Wish they had a chicken or plant based version. lol

It cracks me up when reviewers review the McRib every year and say it's better or worse. It's always made the same nationwide. Your individual experience just depends on how long they were sitting there when you ordered, and the technique of who made that individual sandwich. The best one, and worst ones you ever had could have been served only an hr apart at the same store. JS.

i had a mc rib but it has been like 10 years i am one in the middle it is ok to me but since i rarely get McD when i do i am not adventurous my favorite thing is those tiny onions on the burgers i must have extra i really don't care about my breath hahaha
I had mine the other day. It was ok, but not as good as I remember the McRib was. The patty was rubbery and weird texture 😮 lol but I ate it. But I used to love the McRib back in the 90’s, this was definitely not the same sandwich I remember. The BBQ sauce, bun, and slivered onions and pickles perfect. But the patty was not it.
I don't know how he managed but hats off to dad for not getting a drop of that sauce on his white shirt.

I agree. I like Salisbury steak myself. Not all the time. Ground beef is the same. They use organ meats and tendons.. nothing goes to waste.✌️🙏

I love the holiday pie! I wish it can be around all year long. Mcdonald's McRib sandwich may not be as good as Arby's version, but it is still not bad for the price. Still cheaper than Arby's. Definitely a messy sandwich though, you wouldn't catch me eating that one inside of the car, haha.

I enjoyed my McRib tonight. 😃 Love the bbq sauce, onion, and pickle. I saw The Trent added extra onion. I will do that next time. I’m an onion lover. Only negative is you need about 4 napkins when you eat it. 😂

I like the idea of a BBQ Rib Sandwich (really a sausage patty). To tell the truth, a local convenience/gas station shop, aka roller dog joint, does a good job for their version. Don't know what regular price is, but frequently on sale for under $4.00 including tax. That's the only time I buy them. I buy them for a quick light lunch at work.

The patty is pork but it is the left overs so it doesn't go to waste (money). The same patty only shaped differently and seasoned to the likes of the restaurant chain that has ordered it. Same meat in short but different shapes and sizes.✌️🙏
I saw the advertisement for the 64 ounce bottle of McRib sauce being sold at some locations for $19.95. It is true. Another channel on U-tube covered that menu item. Note: I have never had the McRib sandwich.

I have three McDonald's within 1 1/2 miles of my apartment. The one to the south has McRib for 4.49, the one to the east has it for 5.59 and the one to the north has it for 6.09...quite a difference, so when you're using their app change locations to another close location and check the prices, you may save a lot by using another location close by.

I personally have never liked the McRib. My spouse who passed away in 2022 absolutely loved it, but I would not care to try it again. I think McDonalds should keep it because dad (Mr. George) says so ❤🥰

I haven’t had a McRib in years. I just got one for lunch and it was better than I expected. Unlike almost all the reviews I have watched mine did not have too much sauce. It could have used just a touch more, definitely not dripping sauce everywhere.

When they said they were ending it 2 or 3 years ago, I got one and it was bad. The pork was dry and the sauce was very watery and lacked flavor. Looks like they are using a thicker sauce now, so I may try one again.

I love everything about the McRib. I’m with George. I think they should always have it. I know some people hate it but they don’t have to order it. It’s the only reason would go to McDonalds because I think other places do everything better.

I know Y'all dont have Kwik Trip convenience stores in OH (yet) - but to the upper Midwest family if you think this is good, their version is about half the cost, way less sauce and tastes much better. They have a condiment station and I add extra onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, black pepper, and pickle relish vs. pickles. pro tip, bring it home and toast the buns! 🙂
I think the pork quality is better than the frozen dinner banquet type. And they grill it first and then dip in the sauce. I used to like them but now dont eat pork. Wish they had a chicken or plant based version. lol

It cracks me up when reviewers review the McRib every year and say it's better or worse. It's always made the same nationwide. Your individual experience just depends on how long they were sitting there when you ordered, and the technique of who made that individual sandwich. The best one, and worst ones you ever had could have been served only an hr apart at the same store. JS.

i had a mc rib but it has been like 10 years i am one in the middle it is ok to me but since i rarely get McD when i do i am not adventurous my favorite thing is those tiny onions on the burgers i must have extra i really don't care about my breath hahaha

I had mine the other day. It was ok, but not as good as I remember the McRib was. The patty was rubbery and weird texture 😮 lol but I ate it. But I used to love the McRib back in the 90’s, this was definitely not the same sandwich I remember. The BBQ sauce, bun, and slivered onions and pickles perfect. But the patty was not it.
