I've been watching your video on repeat because it adds so much to the already amazing song! it gives each voice and character dynamics you can only feel when someone gives you developed characters and idk where im going with this but i loved every panel! His parents find a note that Evan wrote to himself on Connor's body and assume that they were secret friends. (Connor snatched the note from Evan in school. They weren't friends. They never even talked to each other.)To make Connor's parents happy, he goes along with it, and that's how they get to the fake email stuff.

I actually was fine with that, I know it's all an invention but I could still enjoy it... until I realised that "The only man that I love is my dad" (2:55) is extremely sad and untrue for Evan, because his left when he was 7 ☹️ He has kids of his own and is no longer in his life

No, Jared is alive. He is a "Family friend". One of the only "friends" that Even has.
Ps. When Even was printing out his letter for the day Conner was also in the computer lab and he saw the letter and got mad because it was about Conner's Sister Zoe. He later committed suicide

Zoe is Even's crush. Zoe is also Conner's sister

I love that's the voice of Conner Murphy changes based upon the way that Eaven writes him, if you notice in the crack/pot line, after they write in pot Murphy has somewhat of a stereotypical stoner voice, and I freakin love that they show that this isn't Connor, but a character that Evan creates based on his will.
Also just an add on, the fact Connor pauses when Evan is slow to a choice is unbelievably clever

This is fantastic. I would absolutely love to see this with a few more frames, or maybe a little bit more refinement, because this is a fantastic animatic. You have a very good sense of comedic timing and character placement throughout the course of the song. This is really good.

(The guy at the start is called connor, who committed sucide.) Evan - the short one sending pictures of trees- has very bad anxiety and his therapist tells him to start writing letters to himself to help boost his confidence. Some how the letter manages to get to connor (maybe because he bullied Evan?) and people assume it was a suicide letter that connor wrote for Evan. People began to think they were friends and Evan caught on to that idea so him and his friend Jared (the one with glasses) started helping him write letters. That's all i know though cx

So you probably already got an explanation but here's mine:
Evan Hansen wrotes notes to himself as a confidence booster for his anxiety but in a turn of events Connor Murphy, the school bully and druggie finds his letter and keeps is
it, getting angry that Evan had talked about his sister Zoe Murphy (who Evan has a crush on) in the letter to himself. A few days later, Connor commits suicide (an overdose on drugs) and Evans note to himself is found in Connors pocket, but because of the way it was written it seemed like it was a letter Connor had written FOR Evan. So Connors parents track Evan down and invite him to dinner where Evan makes up all these stories of things he and Connor had done, even telling them that they exchanged many emails together. That's where this song cones in, where Evan and his friend Jared are trying to write believable emails that made it sound like Evan and Connor had been best friends.

Raina Horetz yeah I was very confused at first as well. basically the guy with long hair is dead he has already killed himself at this point in the show. the guy without glasses, evan, is pretending to be his friends to make himself and the long hair guys parents happy. the guy with glasses, Jason, is helping by righting the long hair guys, conner parts of the emails to prove evan and conner were friends even though they actully weren't. it's confusing I Know ugh, hope this helped! try searching up the synopsis on Wikipedia to help. 😃😄
