Appreciate the vid! I was contemplating sending my 2006 Nissan Frontier to a shop for a illuminated engine light but decided to buy a obd sensor and got the same code. This was the first time I’ve ever worked on a car and your video was easy to follow and the engine light has been gone ever since. Thanks again, your a legend Roy!
Thanks Roy!! I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier and watched your video to change the o2 sensor on Bank 2, Sensor 1, the same as you did. The video was GREAT!! I screwed up not having all the tools you recommended like the pry bar to help lift the tire for re-mounting, but I knew how to do it after the video. It's like you were there helping, as I watched the video while the job progressed. Mahalo, and take care!
I really like how you start your videos with the list of tools you'll use. Hopefully you're on Oahu as I usually, during non-COVID times, go over every year and I'd love to meet you.
Sorry for the late response, playing catch up with my repairs. So the air fuel ratio sensor & the O2 (oxygen) sensor are different. They have different amount of holes. Thanks for your patience, and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
@@scarlingdarIing It could be an exhaust manifold leak. Basically, the exhaust manifold starts pulling air at the cylinder head and throws off the air/fuel ratio at the sensor. I just had my mechanic fix that manifold leak and got the P1283 code again. So, I am going to swap out the air/fuel sensor, thanks to this video. I'll let you know how it works!
I got the code P2A03 and wouldn't the location on my 2012 frontier be the same as this 2005?. The code says it's Bank 2 sensor 1 aka the A/F Ratio Sensor. I just want to know if it is in the same location though.
I’m not sure if the part number is the same because sometimes one side might have a longer wire but it is both an air fuel ratio sensor. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
If I’m not mistaken, by what I’ve researched, the most common thing would be that your air fuel sensor is faulty. I hope that helps, thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Hey Roy, I know the video is 3 years old when I am watching it, but I wanted to tell you that your video was very well done.

Nice. Thanks for the info, small steps I would have over looked. Thanks
Paul Miskow glad I could help, thanks for watching!
1 question! So I have p1283 which is a different bank for my sensor, is a air fuel ratio sensor the same as an 02 sensor?

Did you ever get that code fixed? I've had p1283 forever!

@@RoysGarage808 I still have the code, no worries for late response but I feel like I have low engine performance and the code came back

Are the sensors the same left and right. Try to change both. Thank you.

Hi, I’d like your video. I got the code P1168 and P1051 for my Nissan Frontier 2005. Do you have any solutions? Thanks
