Some autoparts have these OBD2 scaners that usually are able to tell me you which sensor is bad. However, your check engine light has to be on. If is not on then no. But usually the way it goes is Bank 1 or 2, sensor 1 means top o2 sensors in. Bank 1/2 sensor 2 means bottom sensors. Some cars have up to 3 senors so then gets complected but the rule is same Bank 1/2 sensor 3.
no, Sensor 2 usually is the sensor on the back, depending on the car can have up to 4. Some car say sensor 3 meaning is way on the back. You have to look it up. But best way to explain is the BANK 1 or 2 means is left or right or front or rear depending how the engine is mounted. Sensor 1 Usually top ones , Sensor 2(usually the middle one and sensor 3 means the back one. It can get complicated depending on the car.
@@jram1852 Bank 1 means the side where cylinder 1 is and bank 2 is where cylinder 2 is (in the case of frontier it's passenger side) and sensor 1 in the frontier it's before the catalytic converter....sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter. I first went to autozone and found out which bank and sensor it was with their scanner. Then researched which one is which on my frontier.
Thank you for the video! I have to change my o2 sensor on my 2008 Xterra. This was very helpful!!
You welcome glad it help
Good shit thanks man!
Is these the same for a 08 nissan sentra 4 cylener
Is there just the one sensor to replace or are there two? If so, would auto parts shop be able to figure out which one needs replacing? Thanks!

So pretty much you can do this your self? What would a mechanic charge for this kind of job?
Both sensors are the same code?
Is bank 1 sensor 1 the same on bank 2 sensor 1?
I have a 2011 frontier AutoZone only have 1 upstream, is driver and passenger side upstream the same?
Yes they are the same for top,
I got P1148 and P0031 after replacing the sensor. I reset the light and drove around and the light hasn’t come back on. Yet. Lol
This is the pain in the ass side, getting that plug plugged back in after replacing the sensor was quite a chore.
So bank 2 sensor 2 is the driver side front sensor?

Got it thx......
Bank 2 sensor 1 is driver side front, bank 2 sensor 2 is driver rear.

Isn't called the air fuel ratio sensor. O2 sensor is down stream after catalytic converter
Where is bank 2 mine took a shit
Bank 2 is driver's side. Bank 1 is the side of the engine where cylinder 1 is located.
