Thanks Wayne - I enjoyed the trip, making the video and writing it up for the magazine too. Well worth going on an MGOC tour if you can :-)

Hi all, have had mine for 22 years now it’s a 1967 roadster which has to be the tattiest one on the road, it’s like Columbos old car from the detective series if anyone remembers it but is as it was untouched …literally even the original radio is still in place and it works. In 2008 I drove it across Europe to the Black Sea which is where she is today. She’s unique too as was once owned by a RAF military chap who added an interior lamp and oil cooler from a plane and a driving lamp fixed to the wing from a military vehicle search light. Give me a wave if you see me. Take care all.

Thanks for your comment - I remember Columbo - great series with Peter Falk... just one more thing... :-) Glad you're still enjoying your MGB. It sounds as if there's an interesting story there so if you fancy having it featured in one of our viewers cars episodes, just send more details and some pics and/or video and we'll see what we can do. :-)

Is there an email address as will put something together, may take a while to gather everything as she’s won various things and appeared in press docs too from Germany to the Eastern Block.

A couple of months ago, I bought a copy of "MGB & MGB GT - The Essential Buyer's Guide", as recommended in one of your earlier videos. Unless I got the handy pocket-sized Reader's Digest version by mistake, it's very small - so much so that the detail photos are, well....not very detailed. At only 64 pages long, it's more like a pamphlet.

Thanks for your comment - yes, it is small - I guess its designed to be carried with you when you go out and inspect the car. The Kindle version has much clearer photos, but its more difficult to take that with you when looking at a car... All that said, it's packed with information for buyers so I reckon worth the money... Did you buy an MGB after reading the book?

@@ClassicMGB Not yet, but I'm keeping an eye out. Loads for sale in varying states of decay, but the majority seem to be in the south of England, which is a bit too far away for me.

Those wannabe MGs made in China will be never as good as the 1960s MGBs there will no wannabe Chinese built in China in 60 years as there MGBs still around we bet them in Australia and the MG EVs have had a price drop up to aud $10000 because they don't sell the world wide down turn in EV sales contributing to all EV struggling to sell 😊

Thanks for your comment. I think no modern car will have as much long-term appeal as the older cars. For a start, all electric cars will be uneconomical to repair once the battery fails, but as a means of transport in the present, they're worth a look...

@@ClassicMGB l see plenty wannabe Chinese MGs around also the Chinese LDVs around and we never got the British built LDVs in Australia and over in the UK l have seen a couple bean reviewed on a couple of British you tube channels and they are still running well and these Chinese LDVs are rusting and vehicles don't rust in Australia infact my 1997 Toyota Hilux has no major rust but these Chinese built LDVs are rusting that shows extremely bad build quality and also in N.S.W every light vehicle over 5 years old has to have a yearly registration inspection and if tgere is bad rust it's a fail even my Hilux has never bean knocked back for rust but when the rusty LDVs go for the inspections they will fail because of rust or maybe they won't last 5 years and there are many British MGs that are around still passings tgere inspections and there is no emissions testing when the inspection is done
