This is a Power Clean, not a squat clean. The squat clean is a great lift to display overall strength, but the power clean is much better for increasing your vertical leaping ability, being that when you jump, you don't go into a deep squat.
You want to shift your feet laterally, especially with heavier weights where you are going to catch it lower. There's no need for that stomp at this weight for him. It's just machismo.
@@jrodpaul ah so basically locking out to where you clench your buttcheeks at the end type thing then? Or is more at the beginning to get full range on exploding up?
Nah, there are distinct differences going there and the third rep is by far the best. This video would definitely better with a voice over to draw attention them though.
So he’s showing the first is good timing but bad rack position the second is bad timing good rack position and the third is both good timing and good rack position
Nope in the red color marks you see a hell lot of difference. How badly receiving it on your shoulders. There is ia big circle which is supposed to be wrong. The right one with green color one is the one how quickly receive it in to your shoulders without any circle. Like wise your elbow should not point downwards direction. It is supposed to point forward and parallel to the floor
Olympic weightlifters be like, ehh???
🚨 i’m not sure if the technique would be the same as this with heavy weight, the second half of the move.
Once you get to your shoulders is you grip still as tight as it was when you pulled it up??
I vote no 😅
I vote no 😅
Looks like 3 very wrong power cleans to me.
Love these ambitious videos……
Eh stop teaching people wrong techniques go watch actual olympic athletes

@@healthiswealth6237 never said it wasn’t a power clean. I was just telling you to stop teaching improper “crossfit” techniques

@@healthiswealth6237it’s a substandard power clean. Muted hips just to start.
@@healthiswealth6237The technique HAS to be the same as normal clean, the difference is that you catch the bar higher.
Is it normal to bounce it off your legs like that?
Yep

@@sdhokiethat’s bs, that hop creates speed/and power for athletes. Hence the weight.
He's banging the bar way too low, and doesn't go into full extension.
Because hes doing a power clean
@@Giochochupower clean requires full extension.

That’s not a power clean
All 3 are bad form.
Nah man this ain’t it.
CrossFit is so dumb. Tf would I ever need to snatch clean anything in real life? At least weightlifting can be translated
Nem jó!
Terrible technique!
Just get them elbows up, other than that cool
