    Trying to use "stuff I heard in Facebook" as a defense shows how weak their case was.
    It sounds to me like Greg and Travis were busybodies in the neighborhood and Greg thought he was the unofficial neighborhood cop.
    Additionally, the fact that he got a gun stolen from his car knowing that someone was breaking into cars shows he is irresponsible with guns.
    The only theft from that property happened in October. Not from the part under construction but from a boat. He only had partial info but decided it must be the black guy.
    The fact that they weren't charged immediately shows just how far we still have to go as a country.

    Lol at Travis’s lawyer trying to convince the jury that Travis is making sense. He’s standing there with this concerned look on his face and asking questions like, “What did you do then? Is that you breathing? Does your father have any other health issues?” It all sounds so rehearsed, like it’s a comedy sketch. I kept waiting for them both to look at the camera and scream, “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night!!!”

      @Lisa Lawn, and reaching into your waistband is suspicious, and reaching into your pockets is suspicious. Not answering Travis's questions is "acting funny" and refusing to stop running while being chased by men with guns is also "weird." There's nothing Ahmaud could've done that day to make him seem any less weird or any less suspicious.
      The good news: Travis sealed his own fate with this sh*t testimony.

It's interesting how no one was interested in calling the police or doing a so-called "citizen's arrest" when White people were wandering/venturing into the home under construction like Ahmaud Arbery did, but then again, they are/were the "right color". For the record, Ahmaud's past and record is irrelevant because he is not the one on trial here, your "heroic" trio are. • @stephwiller9089
      @stephwiller9089 3 роки тому +3

      @@Emma_Sooo Firstly, to make a citizens arrest (now no longer an option) you have to have witnessed a crime in progress and not just any crime it has to be a felony. Trespassing is not a felony it is a misdemeanour. As the officer explained to them prior to this incident it isn't even trespassing until they have officially informed the individual not to go on the property. There were no trespassing signs or fence around the construction. Obviously, common sense would dictate not to go on other people's property regardless but people are nosy. As the other commenter mentioned there were also lots of trespassers and shit going on in the neighbourhood but nobody chased the white guy down. Also Arbery did run, did you see how much he ran, all up and down those roads. These three kept cutting him off and chasing in a TRUCK. I don't care how athletic you are you aren't out running a truck. He was probably exhausted and was afraid. Worried that if he had to stop running they would catch and shoot him. The cops weren't there yet when he grabbed the gun. You are looking at things in pieces, you need to consider the totality of the situation. If three random white men with guns were chasing you up and down in a truck would you assume they were rational individuals that wouldn't take things too far?

I understand he told the prosecutor that he had not gone door to door to investigate who this trespasser was. He said it was random and he only went to a couple of houses and didn't actually talk to anyone there.
