Vern,we had a situation at a job site,an unqualified young man, decided to get on the dozer.he reversed trapping the tandem driver between the tail gate and the box as he was scraping stuck material on the bed.to make matters worse, the qualified dozer operator did not report the non functioning reverse alarm.osha steps in,you know the rest of the story.opeators,do your pre and post trip inspection
This is one of the few times I've seen something. I don't like. Why would you put the dirt on the new road It makes no sense. You could wheell walk that windrow without putting that dirt on the brand new road
The main reason it is so important to backfill the lanes, is because the "home builders" literally use them for their "hall road" These lanes will see Loaded concrete truck, trucks hauling lumber, topsoil, and gravel. When the home builders are done, there is so much mud on them it's hard to see where the "edge of asphalt" is. Thank you for the input, "Jeff" it is good question.
Looking good Vern ! Hope 2023 is a good and safe year for you and crew.
Olá amigo sou do Brazil parabéns estou aprendendo muito com vc
Looks great Vern. Your vids are very informative I do like the reminders of safety.
Thanks for watching Murray, creating these videos is learning procedure for me as well.
Love your videos mate, as a new grader operator I’m picking up things👍🏾
Hi Tokieiki, I hope you watch all my videos, and if your friends would like to find my channel, just tell them to "Google" the name Vern Kyle.
Got to be careful with that new asphalt! Good backfill will save damaging the edges with trucks and other equipment
Make a video telling us about your first day of grading
Hi uncle Vernon what is best blade angle position for grading selected materials please?

Good story, A very high percentage of accidents happen in reverse. That's way I mention it in some videos. Thank for the input.

It's heartbreaking to get a new road dirty, but we "backfill" The edge in a similar fashion in Reno Nevada
