I've had the same problem as your originally shelves which caused nightmare & time wasting. I was thinking of simpliar drawers systems, platform for boxes, chop, tablesaw etc as this sounds perfect solution as thinking of contacting van solution which is abit embarrassing cos I'm chippy but you made me realise it doesn't matter! Great video! 😊
I would never get a low roof van again much better with a high roof I have a custom l2h2 and love it can stand up in the back get all my gear in and loads of materials 😊
@keelsjoineryconstructionltd Same. The company I'm with just bought a larger van and I kitted it out to be able to hold all we need plus haul the cabinets I'm installing. I bought the old van for myself and am kitting it out soon. I know I can never get large materials and cabinets in the old one, so I won't even bother. I'm just going to use the space more efficiently in being able to carry all my tools and get them in and out more efficiently than how it used to be. Great video👍🏻
That rolling tool box is the bane of my existence. Mines just full of junk that gets used once in a blue moon cuz ill use the wrong tool just to avoid opening it

What ply did you use foe this. Is it just standard 18mm ply or light weight stuff. I raised the floor in my transit custom a few weeks ago. Similar principle but alot more basic than this and was worried about the extra weight from the 2 sheets of 18mm ply that went into it.
I didnt see it very well but it looked like they blocked up sides that in my option could hold some random items feels like lost storage room but other than that looks like decent setup

Master your trade and you wont need any of that gear in the van. First class joiners dont need all that stuff. You have far too much unnecessary garbage in there.
That’s a ridiculous comment, you could travel the length of the country in a horse and cart but why would you, it’s all about job efficiency, we’ve all worked with that lad who turns up with a hand saw and a philips screwdriver in a Tesco bag and spends an hour in the back of his van looking for a pencil. I know who I’d hire
What a moron you are. Obviously still in the dark ages. The racking will make life a lot easier so he’s not spending ages looking for that one tool he needs. The unnecessary garbage will make him a lot more efficient and improve the quality of his work. We have all worked with that one whopper that turns up with a hand saw, “I don’t need any power tools me”. We have also worked with people that can’t find anything in their van and waste so much time going back and forth trying to find stuff. It’s all stackable so he can take in everything he needs at once, What he does need is a new van with a high roof so he can stand up in the back of it 😀

It’s not embarrassing bro they have the workshop all set up, plenty of chippy’s get there van done there 😎
Keel a van next size up would be better. We do kitchens and we can stand up in r van. 👍

That’s some skill building the system out.
Table saw would annoy me there though - I’d have it at bulkhead to leave more open space in back 😂

I’d definitely be go up size mate, the customs are good jobbing vans but you’re growing and growing definitely get the bigger transit or similar.
