Had those vibration in my 2017. The transmission failed a week after at 16 000km under 3 years.
Jesus, Id be pissed. At least youd imagine for the money you put out that you can drive 100k without problems

People who buy these kind of cars dont care about power/gearbox. All they care is fancy interior screens, LED lights etc.
Do you expect the cvt to handle more power?
I mean, people who would buy this wouldn't drive fast or tow.
@EverLast7 but midsize sedan doesn't give you the space a midsize SUV has and you still get similar fuel economy.
Yeah it really needs a hybrid option making around 220hp/tq for those of us that want a little more power & efficiency.

See: The problem is a solution. Here in Germany not that many people wanted to buy automatic transmissions, cause they cost a lot when you configure a car or at the end buy it, they need special maintance, they are slow and they consume much more fuel than manuals..
Dual clutch transmissions solved one of these problems the CVT the other.
DCTs are super fast, so they get better 0-60 times than convensional hydraulic automatic transmissions
CVTs are super economical, so they get better fuel economy than convensional hydraulic automatic transmissions
But the normal AT is the most reliable outta those 3.
Will you guys review the facelift CR-V? Maybe the hybrid? It will fill your compact SUV video playlist well.

After some of the crazy prices for SUVs recently, this one was pleasantly suprising!
Weird vibrations? That's called having a defective Jatco CVT! Nissan has NOT fixed its CVT design, they are still selling a defective CVT!

Nissan is circling the drain. No way their build quality has improved from the previous shit generation of the Rogue
My 4 year old Altima with one of their shotty CVTs with less than 60k Kms agrees. Their reliability is gone and this is nothing like the NIssan of the 90s. I'll never get a Nissan again.
@@6193drizzle That is the sad part. The first car that I rebuilt was a Datsun 260Z. It was a great car and a great car company. Then Renault started making all of the decisions and cutting corners in 2000.
There is a reason why Renault hasn't sold a car in the United States since 1985. Their Engines and Transmissions would breakdown after 35k to 45k miles. Now the exact same thing is happening to Nissan under the "leadership" of Renault.

I'd love to get into a Nissan but until they figure out something to do with the Jatco CVTs my money will be going to Toyota/Honda
My family and I have been leasing Nissan Rogues since 2015 and we've never had negative experiences. However, I will say this, with these last two cars, there was no mechanical issues but you could tell the quality of materials was somewhat weak and - i.e. foe leather- starts to wear off after only 1 1/2 -2 yrs. The Nissan mindset seemed to be carrying the quality far enough to reach the three years of the lease. With that said, this 2021 rogue def. looks like a step in a different direction! We'll test that out when we return our 2017 to renew for a new one. As always, great video guys!!!

I hope Nissan directed their efforts on the CVT as they did with the camera quality.
The new design is sharp, but it can’t compete with what Kia & Hyundai is doing right now. I’m so excited for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid!
I saw the video for this yesterday and was surprised you guys had a video out on a Monday so it was cool that you did but as for the the Nissan Rogue but it’s not bad I remember my relatives always driving a Nissan of some sort back in the day and they always swore by them they was very reliable so I’m sure that hasn’t changed over the years great job guys as always I know you guys are always busy doing your thing and work very hard at it but if you guys could mybe try and do more live things just it’s cool to be able to interact with yous and specially with everything going on it’s probably the only way all your fans and subs can do this any way take care and stay safe

Just so you guys know the Navi-Link pro-pilots 30 second hold is so you don’t have to hit the resume button or quickly tap the throttle for up to 30 seconds where it will auto resume.
Standard Pro-Pilot will automatically resume with a 3 second pause but afterwards it just holds you in place till you hit the Resume button or throttle, you won’t roll forward like the Sentra, that one has standard intelligent cruise.

This is actually a really interesting video considering that this is one of the first cars that Nissan released without the cost regulations of Carlos Ghosn... Who knows maybe Nissan will be the company that produced really loveable cars like they were in the 90's

I just bought my 2023 Rogue, and I've had nothing but fun with it in the first 24 hours.
for someone who drives a first gen Rogue Im not surprised theres weird vibrations, this drivetrain is pretty notorious for having a lot of vibrations, not surprised they haven't refined it out.

No shudder on my new platinum. None of the competition comes close to the quietness, ride and luxury of the new Rogue. Interior is absolutely awesome…perhaps bias is a bit much in this review.
Does it handle better off road? I have a 15 Rogue and it is very unhappy when off of pavement. Even a gravel road it just feels like it is falling apart,lol!!

Any issues with automatic front emergency braking or cameras mistaking shadows for objects? I have constant issues in my 2019 Rogue. I have to turn off the emergency braking every time I drive my car.
I AM A SUBSCRIBER! Any how, I am contemplating between the 2021 Nissan Rogue and the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. One thing not mentioned in this video is that the Rogue is way underpowered, especially for a 3500 pound vehicle, and especially in high altitudes where the non-turbocharged engine would starve for oxygen. On the other hand, the non-turbocharged engine is more reliable and cheaper to maintain than that of a turbo or hybrid.
Nissans seem like decent cars and I’d check them out if they didn’t have that cvt.

It looks like Nissan didn’t change/fix the vibration you guys mentioned. My 2012 Nissan Rogue has had a vibration since I purchase mine as well. I have a feeling it’s due to the extra long passenger side axel/bearing carrier. It only vibrates upon heavy acceleration. Great review guys!

I like the older body style. Not at first but it grew on me and if they didn’t have a CVT, then I would have definitely bought one.

Seriously, although I have been surprised because I have had friends with Nissan CVT’s that have failed at up to 175,000 miles and Nissan replaced them for free, crappy transmissions but at least they stick by their products sometimes...

Looking forward to racing off the SkyTrain at Hartsfield-Jackson to get one of these at the Hertz lot instead of the last gen.
