Thank you for this video, my fan was loud and making even louder noises and installing a Noctua fan helped. One tip for if you have to go back inside or for anyone else doing this: there are screw holes under the rubber feet. Use a bit of effort to get them off, you can slide off the front panel and the entire enclosure and make this process a lot easier.
Thank you for the walkthrough! I saw a lot of people saying how you can just replace the fan but it's very good to know what it takes. I do not trust myself to properly cut and splice wires on a $230 device so it's good to know I won't be doing this!
Wow! Thank you so much! You brought sanity back to our room. Thank you so much! What's the name of those little connector used for the wires? ALL THE BEST!
Hi, you list the NF-A4x10 FLX in your description - but that is a 12V fan. In your comments section, you reply "yes" to a question asking if the NF-A4x10 5V is the correct fan? Which one do I need, the 5V or the 12V?
@@NorthForty-Onethanks! Do you know if the board puts out 5V or 12V? A 12V fan should run considerably slower if operated at only 5V. At least one 12V Noctua fan I’m familiar with stops altogether at 4.4V. Want to make sure I’m not under-ventilating the box.

I followed the steps and got the 5v fan. I installed it and it's louder than the stock fan. Is there a way to adjust the fan speed?

Sorry for the confusion. The 12v or 5v will work in this application. I used the 12v but the board will power either version of the fan just fine.

@@jameskirkpatrick361 You can always measure it with a multimeter
Is the Noctua NF-A4x10 5V? Thanks.
Yes it is and the connectors are included with the fan
