Super good product! Pro tip: set the tub on a couple 2*4’s and fill it up. Drop the drain and inspect before you drop and silicone for the final. Super easy to use product!

In Australia we have a killer product for freestanding baths, it's a pop-down plug and waste with semi rigid flexible piping all sold in 1 kit. No need to cut the floor up (as long as your in slab pipe position is located anywhere under your desired tub location), and it can also be accessed easily later if needed. Also due to the semi flexible piping it gives you the ability to move the bath to make adjustments in position etc.
US (or specifically 'some states') has too many codes. Some are inexplicable.
To anyone that's ever set a free standing tub, they suck & r a pain n the ass to install. That drain is brillant

Yeah; maybe next time use a less...robust material to set it given it'll be under the tub anyway though. (Quickset is gonna drive the plumber who has to fix that s*** when it fails is gonna lose their mind.)

I had purchased everything to install my tub and then I came across a video like this around the time I was going to install 😂😂😂 I bit the bullet and ordered one on Amazon for next day delivery and BAM!!! Worth every penny.

I got to do a shower pan in the basement. Been sitting for about a year trying to figure out how to glue up the PVC and cement it in.

Sweet! But if you are installing a shower base, when you come up out of the P trap use a 2” no caulk brass shower drain. They are a simple install as well!
Randy, setting a shower pan isn't a DIY project. Hire a professional. There are too many small details to account for. Your shower pan won't last.

I remember installing these with my Journey Man when I was an apprentice. This guy would measure smoke, come back measure go back and smoke. He would do this numerous times, to the point were when he went out I just installed the damn thing. Hate people that aren't sure of themselves and waste time.

I like to use a double flare extension and stick it in a trap adapter about 16 inches. I love these type of drains. Kind of like a mop sink. Props brother

Island tub drains are also great for washing machine pans for under appliance in rentals. Code requires pans in condos and upper story units. So this makes it so I don’t have to going into neighbors ceiling. Before I found this product I would make them before it was a thing. Still beating myself up for not parenting my version which is now this version
