    EASY BREAD RECIPE:
    1 1/3 cup warm water (100-110*F)
    2 teaspoons active, dry yeast
2 teaspoons brown sugar or honey
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon fine sea salt
    3 to 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
In a large mixing bowl, combine the water, yeast, and sugar.
Stir until dissolved, then add in the egg and salt.
Add the flour one cup at a time. Once the mixture is too stiff to mix with a fork, transferred it to a well-floured countertop.
Knead for 4-5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if the dough is continues to stick to your hands.
Shape the smooth dough into a ball and place in a bowl. Cover with a dish cloth and let rise in a warm place for one hour (or until the dough has doubled).
Grease a standard-sized loaf pan (9"x5"). After the first rise is complete, punch down the dough and shape it into a "log". Place it into the loaf pan and allow to rise 20-30 more minutes, or until it starts to peek over the edge of the pan. Bake in a 350* oven for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly browned.

So I’m a 38 year old ex construction worker that is unable to work due to injury. I have made 4 loaves of bread off this video. It just keeps getting better every loaf. These are my first 4 loaves ever. Thank you for this. The struggle of working 80+ hour weeks to sitting at home is rough. Now I have something to do that relaxes me. Thank you for this. Gave me some hope for my life. Super relaxing.

Just a pro tip on the pizza. You had a pizza stone to bake it on, but you put it in the oven with the pizza. Pizza shops usually have ovens that get way hotter than a normal house oven (1000F+ vs 500F). To help mimic this, you want to put the stone in the oven before the pizza and let it sit there for a while. Get your oven as hot as it can go and let the stone absorb the heat. Then when you put the pizza in, it’ll sit on that stone and the crust will immediately start to brown and bubble like you get at a restaurant.

Lovely recipe! Bread proofing tip: if your oven has a pilot light, there’s no need to heat it at all and if your oven doesn’t have a pilot light, just turn on the actual oven light. It will warm your oven up to about 100 degrees f. which is perfect for yeast dough to rise in, without worrying about it being too hot to kill the yeast.

I made this dough but added an extra 2 tbsp sugar to the dry flour and worked it in. After the dough had risen, I rolled it out to a half an inch thick, and cut it into 3 inch squares. I put them on a baking sheet and let them rise again. Brushed the top with egg wash. Then I baked them in the oven at 350 until the top was a beautiful golden brown and they looked like little pillows. Up on coming out of the oven I brushed them with melted sweet cream butter and let them cool. I then dusted half of them with powdered sugar. The other half I filled with fresh Bavarian Cream. WOW! There are no words. They were light, had the perfect texture, not too sweet, and they were a hit for sure. Almost like a yummy beignet. No doubt about it. This is a wonderfully versatile dough recipe!
