CHANEL NO 5 VS SHALIMAR PERFUME

Chanel No 5 and Shalimar perfume are both very important perfumes from the 1920s. Chanel No 5 is a famous floral perfume while Guerlain Shalimar is a strong oriental perfume. I love both of these fragrances, but which one do you prefer?

Your point about fine cigars makes me want to wear Shalimar to the cigar lounge down the street from me! You're so right, it makes me think of luxurious smokiness too. Especially the dry-down with the leathery vanilla. I have the EDT, but I really want to try the EDP; it has to be even deeper and heavier, and I can't imagine how indulgent that must feel. I hope they release a special 100-year anniversary bottle next year!
