You wouldn’t think this was 30 years ago gosh it’s gone so fast,I remember these episodes it only feels like yesterday, thank you for sharing yet another great video!
Yes!!! I was only 11 at the time. I’m now 43. It feels like yesterday!
I was in my 20s with kids of my own
@@ginagina9720 me too. Happy times
Keven telling Sally to calm down, from a man who sounds angry when eating cornflakes ;-)
Lol 🤣
She is just as angry, whiny and screeching
It’s not real it’s acting 🎭
@@leeorr9071 Umm, yes I am commenting on them as characters who are being acted, but thank you for the help dear.
Surprised Little Webster didn't get regular beatings
With his gobbing off at people all the time him
Being a 10 short arse stone weed
I’m having the best time watching these Coronation Str downloads, can’t thank you enough.X
Loved seeing Mark Casey get his just desserts!
About time
Don: “ a machine...a machine for driving people round the bend” 😂
rich coming from that scumbag Don though, an utter timebomb who blamed everyone but himself for his mistakes
1:55:57 This is the first time in the older episodes that I have seen hints of Sally’s quest for power and prestige. She has been so power-hungry in the last 10 years, always wanting to be posh, but I hadn’t seen it in these older episodes until now. It is neat to see her evolution. Thanks, again, for the great episodes!
Only the last 10 years!? I haven't watched the pile of steaming woke 💩 in at least 10 years and she was like that since at least the early 00's so she's been a deluded snobby hypocrite for at least 20 odd years.
A pity she turned into Hyancinth Bucket of coronation street.
I guess you didn't see Sally when she and Kevin were lodging with Hilda .
She got it into her head that Kevin should buy into partnership with Brian. The fact that they only had 40 quid, in the bank, didn't stop her from grilling Kevin everytime he walked in the door, as to the progress he had made, buying into Brian's garage, with 40 quid.

Rita, Percy and the window display, brilliant! 😆
Loving these Great Coro episodes! Thankyou so much for sharing ❤xx
Alma really is pathetic. Mike cheats on her, humiliates her and she still runs back to him.
She lacks confidence and self esteem.
She married him.
"She's not all that well balanced at the best of times". I love Percy, telling it like it is!
thank you so so much Eve!!!!❤
4:40:52 Ivy "Right well uh why don't you pick me up after work at Bettabuys?..."
Don "Because I don't like you and I want a divorce." 😂
I’ve just realised Bet, Betty and Liz all have the same Christian name don’t they? “Elizabeth” 🤷🏻♀️
Kevin and Sally are a pair of pie-tins that have no idea what side their bread is buttered on.
Can
I have to feel for Don he tried to support lvy as a loving Husband...yet she always seemed to be on a different campaign trail about life 😢
I only saw don as a bully. Horrid little man!!
Poor Lynne was as drunk as a dormouse, tsk, tsk, tsk
The decimal level in the Webster's house omg
they dont talk they shout.
I think you mean "decibel" - and I agree! I couldn't last an hour with those two.
@@paullynton-green6570 Two yappy little dogs together.
@@bibakroll8999 like having 2 Veras in one place 😅
That's why it makes me I'll when I see them so happy, trying to decide what they're going to name the garage.
Because, in 2 seconds they could go from being happy, to being at each other's throats, at the first sign of bother.
1:06:34 Bet “Wait, What?” Gilroy strikes again! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Plus, that little wink she gives Liz and Liz trying to hold back her laughter…fantastic stuff.
Jeez Kev, chill mate!
Don had the patience of a saint! Ivy got what she throughly deserved.. unreasonable doesn’t even cut with her! Impossible to live with. Acting on point.
Alec: “ Duckworth, Mother Hubbard and Flora the pregnant barmaid...” 😂
31:57 Bryan Mosley is back as Alf Roberts after his real life heart attack put him out of action for months!
Ivy's voice is slurring a lot...
She was often inebriated during filming.. which one was of the factors behind her sacking.
Mummy Kes
Plus she is so drawn in the face
9:55 Somethings snaps inside Don here because I think its the last time he smiles in Ivys presence.
Martin, there are other houses in Weatherfield to buy.
Its just occured to me where I've seen Don's fancy piece before... She was Oz's wife in Auf Wiedersehen Pet
3:52:01 No apology or declaration of love - just Mike telling Alma that they will inevitably get back together. 🤨
Ooo don having a affair I just knew it! He as to tell ivy now! These old ones are getting very interesting now thank you for sharing I love them!
She was nice Don should have stayed with her
He had an affair with Gaile's real mother.
@@MrEdwardsg He was a very sick man. Keep an eye on that man.
So Kevin gets caught committing fraud and gets away with it. I remember Bert Tilsley having to go to court for signing on and getting caught working.
poor old bert.a lovely guy gone too soon.
@@paullynton-green6570 Fucking LOVED Bert. One of my all time favorite characters.
In 1991 it wasn't wise to drink or smoke when pregnant
Only in that year? 😅 Sorry, silly joke. I know what you mean
Was never a fan of Don
cant stand the man.don and lvy deserve each other.
He's still alive too. He's 85!
He repulsed me from day 1.
Boy you guys are tough😘
4:58:20.. SUCH a great ‘sales pitch’ just to hire Santa .. oh I do apologise Percy ..’Father Christmas’!🤣🤣❤x
Alec Gilroy always penny pinching but employs Jack as a cellarman full time to do a job that could be done in 1 hour a day 😂
Jack also serves behind the bar
Mike looks like a simpleton with that big grin on his face all the time. And it makes him look sly
I was a bit too young to remember this, but it seems the cast was a lot more middle-aged back then?
Absolutely which is how it should have stayed looking at the dross they produce in today’s woke Corrie - it’s dire!!!
The younger generation started to infiltrate, that was the downfall. The older generation had proper training, they had tread the boards......
Much prefer the older generation and I was a kid watching these. Wouldn’t miss an episode.
The cast should have definitely stayed middle aged, so damn true.
Alma is 46 - I'm 46 and don't dress like that. people looked older back then because they dressed like they were expected to dress 😅
Ivy is not cut out for retail work. Her trying to use a pricing gun at 29:47 gives me chills. She was the same with the till at Alf’s.
Don was such an arsehole character, I’m so glad they killed off that character
He was vile
Gobby old sod like Webster 10 stone weed
Having worked cruise ships for many years, the entertainment is considered staff and they are free to mingle with the guests. The MC's have a whale of a time, having affairs with passengers most of the time. The waiters etc are crew, they can't mingle, they stay below deck.
MC's always have their own cabins as they are considered management.
After 2 hours there’s some very different camera work, with sweeping shots and zooming in close ups. It’s a real change. The writing has changed a bit too it seems.
Forgotten about Gail blink blink blink and Martin grunt grunt grunt Platt ! Once you've seen it you noticed it more and more!!
Alec & Bet got so good as a comedy team, Bet's face and comments.🤣🤣🤣
Kevin and Sally being really ungrateful.
Too true. I used to think Kevin and Sally were a nice couple but there were certainly times when they were thankless brats. Looking back now, they were not half as nice as I thought.
Totally agree seemed to think they were entitled to everything
G Plus repeat was June 2003
A scene about female empowerment followed by a scene with Alma going doe eyed on Mike, who’s treated her like shite.
I really wish they hadn’t made Alma look so desperate and weak about Mike.
I know, and Ken is such a gentleman. Well, when things go his way. But I appreciate his speaking "proper" English, it makes a nice rest for the brain.
Ivy seem under the influence e of something and her acting suffers sad 😔
Cosmetic surgery and booze.
She was greatly troubled, but Coronation Street had it’s share on troubled actors. Kevin and Steve had their “breaks” and they are still on the show.
I truly felt for Ivy 😢😢 she is a hard old bat and set in her ways second to none .. but she didn't deserve what Don did to her by no means ...you don't just walk away when a few months of bother arise .... she was the one always bailing him out of his gambling debts .. may not match up to her constant meddling and misery but still didn't deserve the slap in face !!! I liked Don thought he was a stand up bloke but bit dissapointed at how he turned !😮😮
Apparently they didn’t get on in real life - Geoff Hinsliff was always asking the writers for Don to have an affair as he felt Ivy was too old for Don.. lol!
@@EveHenleySpread seriously? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 well one could see there was an age difference there one being more up than the other 😅😅😅😅😅🤭🤭🤭🤭
Is it me or does Don’s fancy piece Julie look like Gail? 🤭
So you have to behave however others thing you should, well as long as that goes both ways.
got yourself new sub thanks :D :P can you upload eps from may june and july 96 please if can :)
Thanks! I’m doing them in order.. was going to stop at ‘95, BUT maybe I’ll do one more year 😉
@@EveHenleySpread nice one 😁👍
Alma no better than the munchkin playing games. If someone kept bothering me like that and I really didn’t want anything to do with them, I’d tell him we’re to go instead of constantly whinging about it.
Martin's sure is a dark horse
That baby rose in real life would be a screamer because of her parents being wound up. And ivy im surprised even tempered Bert didn’t kill get in her sleep.
Rer-see and then her sister, Ser-phee
What's Oz going to say about his missus' affair with Don when he gets back from Düsseldorf?...
“I need my plane fare Majorie to get back” lol 😂
I don't know in what world those houses would be on the market for around £40 grand in 1991 given the area and the fact all the characters say there's nothing around for miles?
Have I missed something, what’s happened to Rita’s coat in the scene at 3:49:01ish?
Instead of seagulls there'll be pigs flying overhead 😅😂
What happened to "Father Christmas" ? All this American "Santa Claus" 😅
Emotional blackmail seems to be a common theme 😅
Kevin is me tea/butties ready Webster .gob and a half.
Liz is having half lagers while pregnant? Did the writers forget? Or am I just too much like Ivy?
To much like Ivy
That Steph-a-like solicitor needs sacking for gross misconduct!?
Why. Don't see Des complaining. Whats more, they are both consenting adults.
@@TheGlassman63 it's unethical because she is his solicitor, you're not supposed to be in any kind of relationship with your client.
@@bsaunders5271I know all that. But your suggestion the woman gets the sack does seem a bit harsh. It was two people in their twenties doing what comes natural. Maybe im simply not in the "tut-tut" brigade like so many people are these days.
@@TheGlassman63 I'm not being personally moralistic about it, it just seems odd and unrealistic when her profession would most definitely have frowned upon a fraternisation of that kind. Plus, God knows what she saw in Des, he's awful.
@@bsaunders5271 Yes i would doubt things like that would happen in the real world away from C-Street, although i guess it could happen occasionally. I think it would have been worse if say they had a 20 year age gap between them, but as both were the same age, to me it didn't look to bad.
How do you smell a kettle going on?
😅😂
Bleached blond hair with jet black roots is not only ugly, it's cheap and lazy looking.
Angie at half past eight in the morning....laying down the law!!!😂
Mike Baldwin =narcissist
Mike ❤
Dirty Don! being just plain nasty!
I think MIKE'S just trying to get back at Ken. Because he, like most of the other older characters, does hold a grudge.
more babies... ack ack ack
2:53:17 Percy 🤣
Do you think they were trying to Lyn aka Ivy that she had a problem
She certainly did have a drinking problem, watch the documentary about her on UA-cam if you’re interested - I’m currently watching January ‘94 which is nearly the point she gets those ridiculous lips done.. but you can tell her performance is being impaired by the booze sadly! A real shame.
Radios blaring all the time are annoying
3:13:45 Betty's face 😀
1:08 I feel really sorry for Ivy here. She’s trying to make it up to Don.
Kevin; shake hands with the Devil. Anyone who goes into business with Mike is doomed.
If don doesn’t want to be with ivy why not just move out?
Angie’s skint but she’s buying overpriced sandwiches in the corner shop! 😂
See vera still hasnt got her bottom teeth yet
A much better month, Ivy looks unhinged. & her character has become unbearable, I. Feel for Don. Good to see Mike back.
Ivy is more boring than mavis now, darn right misery
Anyone know the song at 2:02:11 ?
Shakespears Sister - Goodbye Cruel World
21:21 Ivy 🤣
Don't matter how ivy's been don't give Don an excuse to go else where . What happened to for better or worse
Ivy had husbands she didn't deserve really. Just my tuppence 😅
alec was selfish thought landlords wernt supposed to leave the premises
Ivy sure can make me cringe with mad.
1:26:52 Haha!
🐦 🐦⬛ 🦜 🦚 🪶 beaks & tailfeathers & Kraken's(craKIN)???😮
