These old episodes are so much better than today's. They are very well rounded. I find there are two many characters today so they only get limited time. OH and don't put Steve and Cassie together. He was so desperate to split Martin and Katy up, not caring who he hurt along the way, he let his vendetta against Martin cloud his judgement, he neglected his son, and even knocked him out cold, and was more happy to let Katy believe Martin was having an affair with Sally, and was also happy to drop Martin in it with Kevin. Then forcing his daughter to have an abortion, and gloating about it and not showing any remorse, it was still his grandchild no matter who the father was, it was his flesh and blood and then carrying on gloating about it. So I'm not surprised he ended up dead, you can't do all that and not expect some sort of punishment.

I agree with all the comments about the characterisation in. Older episodes. So much better than today’s nonsense. No good dialogue nowadays. Ridiculous plot lines. Only a couple of characters who are liked and those are the ones who have been around for a while. They have ruined sally and Steve. And now Gail is going because the actress probably can’t stomach what they have done to her character. It’s criminal that the older characters have been dumbed down so much.
