What to do in Sesimbra?🙂
I will show you, let's go!!!
Today we are at Cabo Espichel🌍
Cabo Espichel is a cape situated on the western coast of the civil parish of Castelo, municipality of Sesimbra, in the Portuguese district of Setúbal.
The cape of Cabo Espichel is around 40 kilometres south of Lisbon. This is a wild spot, where big waves crash against massive cliffs. It is a place to appreciate the raw beauty of nature but you need to beware of the dangerous drops and the powerful wind. Be safe!!!
There is lighthouse here since the 15th century and today you can see hexagonal lighthouse built in 1790. It is still operational, beaming out a light and sounding a siren which warns ships.
Also on the cape is the Nossa Senhora do Cabo Church and cafe serving traditional Portuguese fare.
In the area are some uniquely preserved dinosaur footprints from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.

Yes, I love this type of vlog. We've visited Portugal twice so far, and plan to come for a month next time (either autumn of 2023 or spring of 2024). We are thinking Sesimbra might be a great place to explore for a week or two or longer. Thank you!

Sesimbra is still one of my favorite places in Portugal, this year will go again, maybe will make an update video, but I can say for sure - It is worth visiting, the city, nature, food everything is amazing there. ❤️🇵🇹
