The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third person galaxy-spanning action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively-driven, single player title picks up five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness.

I have to disagree fast travel is good but isn't the best improvement I think side quests are by far the best however I do see we're your coming from

I get the point that everyone is excited about the mullet as it is pretty funny. But I'm also happy that we get to make Cal look similar to the way he looked in Fallen Order as I think he looked cool but also serious enough to get some business done (at least that's what the preview catds make it seem like)

I like how all those new videos released recently all have the exact same footage.
I mean over my 5 playthroughs I’ve put around 5 days in time in JFO, if Jedi Survivor is that much bigger. Man I could only expect at least double that so far which is insane to think about, that’s almost rivaling my RDR2 total playtime.

@@TheTwistedJedi That both excites and worries me, lmao might as well start deleting other games from my console lmao. Jedi Survivor is all I’m going to be playing nonstop until I 100% it, at the very least until I’m done with the main campaign to avoid all story spoilers.
@@jamariojackson4289 you'd need to probably, it is well over 155gb. It was only yrs ago that mgs4 was only 20gb for the ps3.
@@nicktubara No matter. Hogwarts is dead until last gen catches up, I can play Battlefront 2 on cloud, and Midnight Suns next DLC isn’t coming out for at least another month. So that’s at least 200+ gigs right there. And I can also delete Jedi Fallen Order upon release.

So hang on I'm confused, when customizing (think I spelled that right) the lightsaber in the top right it says single does that mean It would be possible to change the duel wield, blaster, cross guard, and double bladed separately meaning you can have for the duel wield two different colors for your lightsabers?
We didn’t have any signs that you could change the two colours individually but that logo in the top right has me curious. Hopefully we can

The book Star Wars Jedi Battle Scars touches on a bit of friction between the group but that was set literally in between both games so there is still a gap to fill in terms of what happened with them!

I heard it was bad fan fic. Though to be a "fan fic" it needs to be written by a fan. The person who wrote that book has said outright they don't like Star Wars.

Fallen Order was the first good Star Wars game we got under EA's tyranny and when it sold well, they backed off.
That game paved the way for single player to make a comeback and for that I am eternally grateful. Without Fallen Order we wouldn't get this spectacular sequel.
Fallen order was incredible for its time, and how much improvement they’ve made since then has blown me away

Continuously is a bit of a stretch, but I did mention him Because darth vader is literally the main villain of this time period and cal escaping would piss him off so it would make sense that he hunts him down

Thanks allot for this video. I cant wait to play Jedi Survivor. I did not pre-order the game because I am waiting for it to be a little bit cheaper because I am only 13 years old and dont have the money to pre-order it.
I wish the gaming industry would get more games like Jedi Fallen Order. Controlled scope games that are effectively prototypes that build the foundations for a great sequel.

alot of good games came out or coming out this year. Hogwarts Legacy and Spider-Man 2 will not make this an easy one. Star Wars aint the giant it used to be so i doubt it could win against Spider-Man. Though it could beat HL in votes. Dont know if starfield will be a buggy mess but i know that never stopped bethesda from winning it either. So all around strong contenders this year. Also Zelda ToK is coming out too..this year will be a massive battle.
Marrin should teach cal the green nightsister lightning ability that would be interesting
I don’t think she would as nightsister Magick draws from mainly emotion (the dark side) and Cal is very rigid on staying with the light. It seems the opposite happened, and Cal taught Merrin some tricks with the raw force power (she uses a push in the trailer)

Can't express enough how happy i am stormtrooper dismemberment is back, being able to cut creatures and droids in half but only leaving glow marks on stormtroopers ruined my immersion every time.

The first one seems like a negative to me to be honest, being able to fully utilize every skill is something I was excited about but now I’m just stuck with a couple skills so now know I’m pretty disappointed considering it seems I can’t max out everything
you can you just have to farm
You can unlock every skill in the game. The devs have said though that if you only do story content you definitely won't be maxing all skills.

You can definitely still max out everything if you’d like to. There are tonnes of enemies to fight, secrets to find which give you skill points, exploring to do to farm xp. You’ll be able to do it still it will just take a lot of work :)

I personally hope we are still able to unlock all skills in one playthrough. It’s not an rpg. I don’t personally think having different builds for every playthrough is important here just that the combat is super varied so that how you approach combat can be switched up a ton. Think of god of war, it doesn’t need to limit how many skills you get to have great and interesting combat every time you playthrough it, should be no different here.
You still can unlock everything in one Playthrough it’ll just take a lot of exploring

I don’t think Vader is going to show up because we know that Kenobi takes place during this time so I can see his focus just being in kenobi. Also idk if your interested there is a book called battle scars that talks about the 5 years between the first and second game it has mixed reception but it does talk about it. Besides that tho super excited it’s crazy to think this game 5 is gigabytes longer than red dead

Having different fighting/lightsaber styles and different lightsabers available to use is the absolute best thing that they could have possibly done

That run animation is a definite downgrade though... That's not even up for debate... Fallen order had one of the coolest looking run cycles in modern gaming and now cal just runs like geralt from the Witcher 3... Sigh

Probably the single worst action game franchise in history. Even the spiritual reboot GoW aka God of bore combat looks more fun than this trash.
