Denzel is a fantastic actor!! Absolutely believable! Not just in the “The Equalizer” but you MUST see his work in the re-make of “The Magnificent Seven “. His co-workers make his work even better!! I would watch ANYTHING Denzel is staring in!!!
What makes these movies so good is to have credible Heroes you must have viable Villains, its just that he puts them so eloquently into their rightful place.
The re-positioning of the skulls on the desk, is taken from The Godfather II, in the scene where the Senator trying to extort Michael re-positions the toy cannon on Michael's desk, then learns the hard way. Denzel executes stock violence roles superbly. I'd like to see him in a Harry Dean Stanton role such as "Lucky."
With an actor as old as Denzel, with no real background in the martial arts, the fight choreography has to be practically perfect, the shots carefully selected to conceal his age and shortcomings, the editing has to serve the story within the film that is each fight scene. They do a great job on all counts.
I love just how brutal is his killing style. He makes a statement of fear. Like, yes I kill people but I don't care how and you can't anticipate my move. And he's cold blooded in killer mode, just ice cold. ❤❤❤❤
I hate the fact that the bad guy in one of these clips is also the actor that plays the Mandalorian. Well, when he takes off his helmet that's the face, whether he is actually in that suit is something I haven't investigated. But I've always been a fan of the Equalizer since the original TV show.
Theres just something intimidating at that music where using the nail gun and the last bit for the film with him and the guy with the sniper. The final shot/slash etc to end a life, just makes ur heart skip a beat and makes u silent. But also am I the only one that feels like the last bit in this video looks and sounds like the Final mission of a COD campaign

You already shot everyone else just shoot the last guy in the head. And then he’s like a horror movie monster? Just kinda silly at some point.
