I never understood why there was so much hate for this movie. Sure, it isn't the stereotypical "Godzilla" that frequently devastates Japan, but this was a fun movie. Certainly better than most of the garbage on tv nowadays.
In this movie Godzilla is a animal looking for a safe place to lay his eggs. Then tries to protect them. The military does just as much damage to the city. Godzilla views the humans attacking him and his babies as a threat just as much as the humans see him as a threat. Its not a monster movie. Godzilla only goes after the humans after they destroy his babies. And the only humans he did go after are the ones he thought did destroy them. The rest of the time he was just trying to defend himself and protect his eggs. The people see how dangerous he is and what threat he is posing, what damage he is unintentionally doing. I feel for both sides. It brought a realizm to the Godzilla movies.

Fr it’s worse in the GxK movie, they look like humans just running around
Yes, Agreed. Pacific Rim did a better job in that respect as well.
I love that the rain was falling
I love this kaiju
I never understood why there was so much hate for this movie. Sure, it isn't the stereotypical "Godzilla" that frequently devastates Japan, but this was a fun movie. Certainly better than most of the garbage on tv nowadays.
This the OG of “The cameraman never dies”
This one is a classic. The graphics might have been poor. But gosh the creativity and the design! ❤
The hate this movie gets is just stupid, just like the haters that hate it, this was a great monster movie

Movie is from 1998
This is my childhood movie, I grew up with this movie because it's scarier and now realistic than Japanese version because Japanese monsters are just like power Rangers monsters costumes total faked but this, scared me when I first saw it at the theaters and now as a grown up 33 almost 34 on August 27, it's still my all time favorite movie!
He was smart to use the camera. Everyone knows cameraman are invincible.
