  • The Audi RS7 is a twin turbo V8 MONSTER of a car. With four doors, a nasty engine sound, and luxurious interior it's hard to find anything "wrong" with the Audi RS7. This full bolt on RS7 makes over 600HP to all four wheels and is a force to be reckoned with. So what makes this an all wheel drive Hellcat? Let's go for a drive and find out!

      "pioneered future designs for other brands". You couldn't be more wrong, Mercedes designed and pioneered the four door coupé since 2005 when they introduced the first gen Mercedes CLS. Audi didn't come out with the A7 until 2010. I still have two first gen Mercedes cls63's and I get complimented in both of them literally every time I drive either. Remember Mercedes lead the race in car innovation. After the cls, it was the Volkswagen CC, then the Porsche Panamera, then the A7, then Bmw came out with their grand coupes and so on so fourth.

I do agree with him that the R8 is a relatively tame car, I had a 2014 Suzuka Grey V10 and the car was pretty sedate most the time unless you wring it out to 5000+ revs with the sport mode on, otherwise you can barely hear the exhaust. I’m eyeballing the RS7 for my next daily driver, it’s an R8 for the whole family 😂. Heck, it even has more trunk space than my wife’s GLC (25 ft3 vs 20 ft3)

    I always thought Audi's S and RS lineups were overlooked compared to the usual AMG "63" models, the M3-M8 lineup, etc. It's too bad because this RS7 looks cool

    • @HISHAM931
      @HISHAM931 3 роки тому

      Yup agreed. The Audi S lineup really packs a punch in terms of power. The price isn’t over the top either.
      The RS lineup in my opinion, even though they are aesthetically pleasing, are overpriced for the amount of power you are getting in those car (stock).

    I personally have a 2008 Audi s6 with the 5.2 v10. It's nowhere near as fast as an rs7 but I would argue just the sound of the v10 and the nearly 400 ft lbs of torque give it plenty of character.

  • @redporschekilla

    Well the RS's are somewhat special. I owned an S8 and loved it, how I could play cat and mouse with a 911 on the Autobahn and they couldn't shake me off :). For me the RS7 or 6 are the perfect understatement / sleepers for the road. I really enjoy your content and the way you're presenting the matter. What always turned me off by owning a German car here in the US, was the wait time for parts, especially when you own a rather rare car, took my shop always 2 weeks.... :(

    Car is truly a masterpice. I have a '13 S6 tuned to 550hp and it still turns heads 9 years later. Not quite as quick as an RS (especially a modded one) but it's got 10X the luxury and creature comforts of a Hellcat. On paper, it's got the same 0-60 as a Hellcat of the same year, but unlike the quick Hellcat, I can pass a gas station. Like you, if I had to own 1 car It would be an S/RS 6 or 7. My S6 is the best car I've ever sat in, bar none!

    • @n01928

      I'd get a used RS7 over a new hellcat. Even with better tires 600hp+ on a single axle is a lot to ask from a tire on the street. 600hp to 4 is much more manageable. Plus you can drive them in the snow without issue. My only gripe with the RS7 is the infotainment. He kind of glossed over it here. Granted I've only been in one of the earlier years so I don't know about the face-lift ones but infotainment on it was atrocious. Volume knob to the right of the shifter instead of on the dash like every other car. It was slow, graphics looked like windows 95, menus on menus to get to simple functions. I wouldn't like it on a 20k car much less a 100k+ car. Not a huge deal on a weekend car but if you're dailying it would be annoying to me. Hopefully they fixed it.
