The human body isnt physically able to lift 500kg off the ground like that, so he used psychotherapy to tap into the fight or flight mentality allowing him to have access to more of his muscle fibers. Kind of like how a woman can move a car off their trapped child. That was his mindset lifting the bar. It's a lift you can only do once. 500kg is that damaging. No one else has even come close to 500kg. The tyre pull in this video was from further off the ground

Are any of these lifts with stiff bar? I no longer understand these bars. Like the untested feds 'standard' bar (like the ones Cailer Woolam etc. use) apparently use deadlift bars whereas IPF uses these stiff bars. Does standard bar mean the IPF type stiff bar or the untested fed deadlift bar?

I honestly think Bill Kazmaier deserves an honorable mention. In the 1988's Worlds Strongest Man he lifted 510 kilos (1,124 lbs) yes fixed but did it pretty damn easy. I imagine him lifting 200 lbs more in that position if pushed, could have lifted 1,100 lbs free weight
5:55 is still the greatest deadlift of all time. Nobody has come close and nobody has attempted to break it in like 7 years. Everybody is scared of it and trying to hide from it and putting up other more achievable deadlift records.

Benni’s deadlifts are fucking primal! Its flys in the face of what most big deadlifters do, ie, a methodical approach and maybe a little lucky routine. He just curses the bar or something, storms up there and doesnt even seem like he positions himself, just just rags the thing off the floor and then slowly lowers it. Amazing
