This song brought me to tears. I just had our first child 6 months ago, and she is a little girl. The lyrics of this song are absolutely beautiful, but they don’t even scratch the surface when it comes to seeing and feeling your sweet baby inside of you and then meeting them for the first time. This world needs a song like this to get people to realize the gravity of what they’re doing when they choose to murder a child in the womb. Every child is a gift and a blessing from God, and there is nothing more precious and fun than being a parent. Our little girl has the brightest smile and biggest personality. God has blessed us so much with her, and I pray that others would happily and faithfully trust God and what He says about children in His Word because He knows what’s best for us more than we do.
My pregnancy of 18 weeks came to an end last week. Its been hard losing a baby we already loved and prayed for and never got to meet. She is now in heaven in Gods arms. Daniel went to be with the Lord last year. Nov. 20, 2018 - Daniel Musselman, associate professor of music at Union University, died Monday night at the age of 38 after a year-and-a-half battle with cancer. “Our faith in Christ gives us assurance that Dan is more alive now than he has ever been,” said Union University President Samuel W. “Dub” Oliver. “He is with Christ in heaven, free of cancer, totally healed. “Even as we grieve the loss of Dan Musselman - a dedicated husband and father, a gifted musician, an incredible teacher and leader, and a joyful follower of Jesus - we thank God for the gift of Dan’s life and his influence on all of us.” Musselman joined the faculty at Union in 2010 and served as acting chair of Union’s music department from 2016 to 2018. He was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer in May of 2017 and continued to teach throughout various treatments. He was placed on hospice care in his home earlier this month. John Kinchen, chair of Union’s Department of Music, joined the faculty earlier this year. He said in the short time that he got to know Musselman, he was blessed by his selflessness, his enthusiasm about life and above all, his devotion to his savior. “Dr. Musselman was the finest of musicians, deeply committed to Jesus Christ and providing a consistent, godly example as he walked his faith each day,” Kinchen said. “He was highly respected as a composer and pianist, but as a person, he was very humble and unassuming.” Kinchen said Musselman’s dedication to his work was beyond admirable. “He fought through his illness to be in the classroom so that he could provide students with teaching that would help prepare them, not just as musicians, but for life,” he said. An accomplished composer, Musselman’s works include pieces for choral and instrumental ensembles and soloists as well as a chamber opera. He held a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Bob Jones University, a master’s degree in composition from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and a doctorate in composition from the University of Kansas. Musselman is survived by his wife, Malinda Musselman, and their three young children. Todd Brady, Union’s vice president for university ministries, joined with Musselman and others at a service at First Baptist Church in Jackson on a recent Wednesday night and sang the hymn “When We All Get to Heaven.” He said they sang with tears as they considered the pain of this life and the promise of heaven. “We continue to grieve as we sing through tears today,” Brady said. “Our hearts are saddened beyond description. In the midst of our deep grief, we know that the Lord through his work on the cross has given us the hopeful certainty of heaven. Dr. Musselman now knows in full what we know only in part.” Visitation for Musselman will be at First Baptist Church in Jackson from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 25 and 2-4 p.m. Nov. 26, followed by a celebration of life service at 4 p.m. Friends of the Musselmans have set up a fund for the family at Foundation Bank in Jackson. Checks should be made payable to Musselman Family Fund and can be dropped off at Foundation Bank or the Office of University Ministries on Union’s campus.
Hallelujah for such a spirit filled song of praise to our faithful Lord Jesus Christ who truly holds us fast. My precious late wife enjoy these songs with me The last couple years of her life before the Lord used liver Cancer to call her home. It's staggering to my mind to realize that everything we sung all the words and promises in this song and a thousand more are coming true for her this very hour, and we wait for that reality for us as well. Though I missed her deeply and daily two and a half years later yet what keeps me in the quiet times in the empty bed is the knowledge that she is enjoying her reward of being with Christ without hindrance of sin or the worldly junk that we endure a day today. I listen to this regularly as my mom is on day 25 in the hospital with many issues including covid. She is in ICU and life is coming to a close. We have not been able to see her as NY has tight regulations.Thank you for your ministry. My husband also lost his job this month. We are having to trust at a much deeper level.
This song ministers enormously to my husband and I. Last April when we lost our son to suicide after some years of him walking away from his faith. Jesus said "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand." (John 10:28.) He did "hold my son fast." "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;" Isaiah 49:15-16 This song tells of God's great holding power.
I so understand. My youngest son tried to end his life 4 times with overdose and heroine. I don’t know why the Lord let him live. He was 17 the first time. The pain is great but the Lord knows. It still hurts to this day. He will be 27 in July. I wish this on no parent. Doctors said he should not be alive. I am sorry for all the parents who lost their children to suicide.

We can not help ourselves when we are carrying the burden of sin. We feel compelled to tell someone. As I have grown in my faith, I view the Sacrament of confession differently. The person I confess too is Jesus, the priest just happens to be sitting in the chair. Maybe you don't believe confessions is necessary but isn't that taking faith into your own hands. Faith is believing what Jesus tells us: "your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction." It all gets back to faith, will you believe in scripture and the traditions of the church? You can't have one without the other. Dear Lord God, I only want to please You today, help me as I go about my day. Thank You for the people I get to visit with, there is joy in hearing their stories. Bless them Lord with Your peace, give grace to those who trust in Your word and may we all grow deeper in Your embrace. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen. Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us. If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee.
Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life), I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh.
O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Nov. 20, 2018 - Daniel Musselman, associate professor of music at Union University, died Monday night at the age of 38 after a year-and-a-half battle with cancer.
“Our faith in Christ gives us assurance that Dan is more alive now than he has ever been,” said Union University President Samuel W. “Dub” Oliver. “He is with Christ in heaven, free of cancer, totally healed.
“Even as we grieve the loss of Dan Musselman - a dedicated husband and father, a gifted musician, an incredible teacher and leader, and a joyful follower of Jesus - we thank God for the gift of Dan’s life and his influence on all of us.”
Musselman joined the faculty at Union in 2010 and served as acting chair of Union’s music department from 2016 to 2018. He was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer in May of 2017 and continued to teach throughout various treatments. He was placed on hospice care in his home earlier this month.
John Kinchen, chair of Union’s Department of Music, joined the faculty earlier this year. He said in the short time that he got to know Musselman, he was blessed by his selflessness, his enthusiasm about life and above all, his devotion to his savior.
“Dr. Musselman was the finest of musicians, deeply committed to Jesus Christ and providing a consistent, godly example as he walked his faith each day,” Kinchen said. “He was highly respected as a composer and pianist, but as a person, he was very humble and unassuming.”
Kinchen said Musselman’s dedication to his work was beyond admirable.
“He fought through his illness to be in the classroom so that he could provide students with teaching that would help prepare them, not just as musicians, but for life,” he said.
An accomplished composer, Musselman’s works include pieces for choral and instrumental ensembles and soloists as well as a chamber opera. He held a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Bob Jones University, a master’s degree in composition from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and a doctorate in composition from the University of Kansas.
Musselman is survived by his wife, Malinda Musselman, and their three young children.
Todd Brady, Union’s vice president for university ministries, joined with Musselman and others at a service at First Baptist Church in Jackson on a recent Wednesday night and sang the hymn “When We All Get to Heaven.” He said they sang with tears as they considered the pain of this life and the promise of heaven.
“We continue to grieve as we sing through tears today,” Brady said. “Our hearts are saddened beyond description. In the midst of our deep grief, we know that the Lord through his work on the cross has given us the hopeful certainty of heaven. Dr. Musselman now knows in full what we know only in part.”
Visitation for Musselman will be at First Baptist Church in Jackson from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 25 and 2-4 p.m. Nov. 26, followed by a celebration of life service at 4 p.m.
Friends of the Musselmans have set up a fund for the family at Foundation Bank in Jackson. Checks should be made payable to Musselman Family Fund and can be dropped off at Foundation Bank or the Office of University Ministries on Union’s campus.

Hallelujah for such a spirit filled song of praise to our faithful Lord Jesus Christ who truly holds us fast.
My precious late wife enjoy these songs with me The last couple years of her life before the Lord used liver Cancer to call her home.
It's staggering to my mind to realize that everything we sung all the words and promises in this song and a thousand more are coming true for her this very hour, and we wait for that reality for us as well.
Though I missed her deeply and daily two and a half years later yet what keeps me in the quiet times in the empty bed is the knowledge that she is enjoying her reward of being with Christ without hindrance of sin or the worldly junk that we endure a day today.

I listen to this regularly as my mom is on day 25 in the hospital with many issues including covid. She is in ICU and life is coming to a close. This song ministers enormously to my husband and I. Last April when we lost our son to suicide after some years of him walking away from his faith. Jesus said "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand." (John 10:28.) He did "hold my son fast." "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;" Isaiah 49:15-16 This song tells of God's great holding power.

I so understand. My youngest son tried to end his life 4 times with overdose and heroine. I don’t know why the Lord let him live. He was 17 the first time. The pain is great but the Lord knows. It still hurts to this day. He will be 27 in July. I wish this on no parent. Doctors said he should not be alive. I am sorry for all the parents who lost their children to suicide.

You have heard the saying: confession is good for the soul. We can not help ourselves when we are carrying the burden of sin. We feel compelled to tell someone. As I have grown in my faith, I view the Sacrament of confession differently. The person I confess too is Jesus, the priest just happens to be sitting in the chair. Maybe you don't believe confessions is necessary but isn't that taking faith into your own hands. Faith is believing what Jesus tells us: "your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction." It all gets back to faith, will you believe in scripture and the traditions of the church? You can't have one without the other.
Dear Lord God, I only want to please You today, help me as I go about my day. Thank You for the people I get to visit with, there is joy in hearing their stories. Bless them Lord with Your peace, give grace to those who trust in Your word and may we all grow deeper in Your embrace. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
