The hymn “He Will Hold Me Fast” reassures us that Christ keeps those he saves to the very end. All who truly know Jesus as Savior and Lord will endure. Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand” (John 10:28). What comfort, what assurance, what unfailing hope: The Shepherd who gave his life for the sheep is the one who keeps us to the end.
As part of the Sing! conference last year, Selah led this stirring rendition of “He Will Hold Me Fast” at the historic Grand Ole Opry House.
Lyrics
When I fear my faith will fail
Christ will hold me fast
When the tempter would prevail
He will hold me fast
I could never keep my hold
Through life’s fearful path
For my love is often cold
He must hold me fast
Chorus:
He will hold me fast
He will hold me fast
For my Savior loves me so
He will hold me fast
Those He saves are His delight
Christ will hold me fast
Precious in His holy sight
He will hold me fast
He’ll not let my soul be lost
His promises shall last
Bought by Him at such a cost
He will hold me fast
CHORUS
For my life He bled and died
Christ will hold me fast
Justice has been satisfied
He will hold me fast
Raised with Him to endless life
He will hold me fast
Till our faith is turned to sight
When he comes at last

At almost 70 years old, my mind isn't as sharp as it was. I find it difficult to stay on task when I pray and the enemy tells me I'm going to be lost in the end. When I need reassurance, I come to this song. God's grace will held me fast until the end. Praise Him for reminders of His love and goodness to us.
I told my mother that i gave my life to Jesus and she said she will never regard me as her daughter anymore but all that doesn't matter. I feel at peace after my decision. My trust in Jesus will never change. I love you Jesus
I don't know who needs to hear this today, but just Give GOD a little more time. Give HIM your worries, accept HIS peace & rest. He will carry you & make a way.Amen♥🕊
This song hits home! I am coming out of a 30 year struggle. I slid down into the chasm then crawled up a steep cliff and as I looked up over the edge Jesus stood there with his arms open wide. He just does not give up on us! Now I know I never have to give up on Him. I asked, what about those wasted 30 years and He spoke to my heart "30 years is nothing" and out of my mouth I continued with "Yea! Compared to eternity!" It's never too late! His work in me continues.
This is the song that the Jesse Morgan family sang around their 6 year old daughter Lucy's bedside as she drew her final breaths. Lucy was killed in a horrific accident (probably the worst I've ever heard of) with a badmitten racket. The father is an absolutely beautiful writer, transparent, honest and yet holding firm to his faith. Please pray for them. Funeral is tomorrow, June 15.
I have lost everything and everyone. All I have is Christ. But since Lord will so be it! Hold me fast to you oh God!
I cannot listen to this song without weeping -that my Savior loves even me so great a sinner - I repent of my doubts and lack of faith in so loving a redeemer
I have the same struggle, Jean. I’m 66 years old. I to struggle to stay on task and my memory isn’t what it used to be. I lost my husband to brain cancer almost 5 years ago. I understand the feeling of being lost in the end. Now that I’m alone, I fear I’ll die alone. I just heard this song for the first time today. It’s given me some comfort in knowing He will hold me fast now and at the end of my life. I love what Frank and the others said about reading Psalms. I’m going to start doing that every night before I go to bed. Our Savior loves us so. He will hold us fast. My thoughts and prayers are with you Jean. ❤️
When Peter was walking on the water to Jesus he began to doubt and began to sink, but Jesus reached out and caught Peter and
massively helped me today. As a pastor sometimes it can be a huge struggle to keep going. Thanks for this song.
About 18 months ago, i was concerned that i might have dementia, i was forgetting stuff, a lot. One day, i told God i was afraid if i had dementia, that i would firget Him. And, He said, "But I won't forget you". I couldn't keep the tears back, & i remembered the verse, that said, He had tattooed me in His hand. When i heard this song, it just reinforced what He told me, & that verse. The brain dr said it was age related, & that i was ok.
When I fear my faith will fail
We played this on the day my granddaughter was supposed to die from HLHS. She didn’t! This song reminds me of all God’s power and love to overcome difficulties in our lives. His love is the final say! I played this over and over again for my granddaughter till the day God took her home to be with Him. Such beautiful memories!

".....Neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand....; And no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand."- John 10:28,29.HE WILL HOLD ME FAST.
I’m over 60 a few days ago . . . have walked with the Lord for some 30 years. This song is what it is all about my friends: Jesus - and Him alone. His kind of love holds you through whatever and forever. May God bless all who made this video.
The choir swell at " When our faith is turned to sight" is the longing of our souls.
