Dear Emmine ...you speak like a grandmother, wise and full of love. You say sensible things! Which have been put aside for some time because we are bombarded with diets. A grandmother offers you food when you are hungry. Simple. She doesn't send you to bed hungry, she doesn't tell you to drink water. I foud you May 3rd, for 2 days I listened to you videos, and then started . Since than I have a full plate, just like in my childhood when my grandmother fed me... and I'm losing weight. And I eat potatoes and bread. Without oil. I didn't have any oil in my childhood. Poverty. But as you say.. too many options harm your health. LOVE YOU! AND THAN YOU!!!!! 🥰😇😍🤩😍🥰

I have found that potatoes themselves satisfy hunger so well that I don’t get hungry or have a desire to stuff myself. They are very satisfying.

I love potatoes. But my attempt doing the potato diet for 10 days came to an abrupt end. After five days the thought of just eating another plain potato made me gag. Too much of a good thing is not a good thing.

A guy in Australia did it for one year another guy did it for two months And the big guy from Penn and Teller he did for 40 days then added some vegetables in. So just keep the carbs up and go go to fruit eat lots of fruit watermelon you know and then add a potato in here and there I'm doing that and still lose weight.

Omg! Can you talk more about doing this for an ENTIRE MONTH!!?? What (if any) side effects could you tell? How did you feel? And how did you add in foods? I did this for 2 weeks and lost over 20 pounds. I also remember losing hair...did this happen to you? What I wanted to do was change my lifestyle and eat whole plant-based foods. Sounded great, but the follow through was not there. So, I am going to do this again (potato diet for 2 weeks to 30 days) but my end goal, is to incorporate whole plant foods. I am changing my LIFE! Not going on a diet! And wow! I just found your channel and I cannot wait to check out your videos of foods and meals of whole healthy foods!! Thank you so much for sharing!

Organic yukon golds from Costco. I do use quite a bit of salt plus 300 cals of flaxseed fat per day. But no fruit, nuts, or grains as i don’t digest them well. Im 53, lift weights, just started menopause and maintaining at 117-122lb 5’5” I didnt think this vegan plan was going to go well but so far its helping heal my intestinal illness. I Did raw smoothies&salads no fruit for a month then started adding potatoes, steamed broc/cauliflower as i needed more cals to lift weights. Potatoes work great. Im still reacting to sweet potatoes so i stick to yukons or peeled russets. So much prep but im learning efficiency!

No B12? Use fortified nutrional yeast for a "cheesy" baked potato. 😅 Or fortified soymilk for both B12 and D when making masked potatoes. 😊

    Gold or yellow potatoes!🥔
But I had never tried a sweet potato, before doing SOS!
They are so delicious with fresh salsa, some cilantro and
Plantiful Kiki’s homemade ranch dressing is delicious!!!
There is another pro that you left out!😊 You forgot to tell them that their energy level will go through the roof! Inflammation goes down in record time just by eating SOS!!! I think it’s the no sugar that really helps us improve our lifestyle..
    Thank you Emmi!

Before agriculture, man lived on tubers ( potatoes, onions, garlic...) berries and occasionally protein ( hunting, insects, some veggies like sweet peas ). I add mustard for the tumeric.

Would this be a good idea for a weight lifter cutting diet? A diet of potatoes and lean chicken breast for protein? I don't plan on changing my deficeit, but it sounds like an interesting diet for a cutting phase.

Well, brazilian bodybuilders have been doing this for years, and I'm not exaggerating, sweet potatoes are seen as bodybuilder food around here (rice is a staple food, so nobody sees it as a fit option)
But I think that in this case eggs would be a better choice, since an egg is very similar to a potato in terms of calories (a medium potato has around 80 calories and an egg has 77)
I'm saying this as someone who lost 30kg on an lacto-ovo vegetarian diet (vegetarianism plus dairy and eggs) and 40 on a lacto-vegetarian diet. Meat in general is very calorie dense

Regular potatoes. I like to squeeze lemon on them. If I’m hungry while out running errands, I get 1-2 plain potatoes from Wendy’s. I ask for a container of lemon wedges. They usually come with salt and pepper packets. At home, sometimes I put mustard on my potato. A special item istomsdd relish with the mustard.
