    I have to say, the gal at the Kansas City Chiefs game who was caught on camera eating a whole baked potato at the game says it all. I don’t know if she is on a special “diet”. The SOS lifestyle is so easy and wholesome. It is a no brainer! I do the same 😂.

    This one was really quite inspiring. It hit home for me. I have been vegan for around 7 years, and much of that was whole food plant based. For the last 2 or three years though... I've been going through it. Huge personal life upheavals, my MDD worsened to a place it hadnt been in a long time, severe burnout, and I've been watching myself spiral.
    I got myself in therapy, I've been trying so hard to dig my way out of this, but it often feels like I'm only going sideways, or I keep getting knocked down. I know perfectly well the difference WFPB makes-I've been there before! Still, actually getting back there from a state of being very mentally unwell has been SO difficult.
    Point being, I think I needed the reminder for those specific mental health and clarity benefits. The reminder of how I'm _supposed_ to feel, and how diet has so much power to influence more and more changes. I feel more motivated than I have in some time.

    i wasn't obese or even really overweight but i had some vanity weight i wanted to lose (a bit "skinny fat" you could say). the starch solution has worked by far better than anything else i've ever even thought of trying to say nothing of how it has reduced my food bill eating basically nothing but potatoes and vegetables mostly broccoli and cauliflower (beans too). fer me at least the idea of a keto diet with all that fat and grease to say nothing of the cost of all the grass fed forms of flesh and what a pain in the ass it is cleaning animal fat off dishes is just ludicrous. that plus i have never known butter to "make yer pants fall off". i most certainly plan on sticking to this way of life indefinitely.

      @@HealthyEmmie welcome thou art. plus potatoes are prolly my single favorite food on earth if i had to choose just one so fer this kid it works out beautifully. although i must confess i do miss sourdough bread and some oils and do still indulge in corn tortillas and sometimes fresh squeezed tangerine juice i also practice OMAD which i find works incredibly well fer a starch based lifestyle.

    • @HealthyEmmie

    • @sco1889
      @sco1889 Рік тому +3

      Is it because you’ve lost some of the fat in your face? Fat in the face makes us appear more youthful. Often times rapid weight loss can make us appear older but then it levels out and gets better later on after your body adjusts to the weight loss. Whole plant based foods contain vitamin C which our body uses to produce collagen :)

    • @baobabbaobab6487
      @baobabbaobab6487 Рік тому

      Date and maple syrups are added sugar, not sugar naturally found in foods. It is probably because you still eat added sugar (date and maple syrup) that you still crave sugar. The microbes in your intestines and stomach who crave sugar and make you feel the need to eat added sugar are still there, only when you'll have starved them, they'll die and so will your cravings. At least this is what I learned, I still haven't made the move

    • @baobabbaobab6487
      @baobabbaobab6487 Рік тому

      I'm talking about added sugar of course, always! Natural sugar found in foods doesn't make us crave more sugar, it satiates us. Our bodies don't react the same and one shouldn't get rid of sugars!! Just added sugars. Our brain relies on sugar both from carbs and fruits/vegs.
