    Please make a video on white sapphires! They're so affordable but Idk about the look, durability, use in engagement rings, etc.

      Apparently white sapphires go cloudy over time

      They can go cloudy over time, but as for durability and usability the only stone you could choose that would be more durable than a sapphire is a diamond. Sapphires are a mohs 9 so they’re very hard and resilient stones, for context Diamond is a Mohs 10, the hardest and most resilient naturally occurring mineral. Because of this many geologists and gemologists actually prefer sapphire rings to diamonds. They’re more affordable and are almost as durable. Also sapphires are rarer stones in terms of natural occurrence than diamonds so they should really be the more valuable stone of the two but the diamond industry did a really good job of making sure that diamonds are more valuable.

    Then you got Montana sapphires and more specifically Yogo Sapphires. I highly recommend you check those out. They are beautiful. Love your videos. I've been working in the jewelry industry for almost 2 years and your videos are so informative and I've learned quite a few things from you! Thank you so much for all you do!

    I like the pari sapphires green blue ones, even the green yellow blue ones. Also I like the less color saturated ones, I have dark blue sapphires that are too dark you have to shine a bright light on the to see that they are blue. can you show the fancy color ones.

      Especially Yogo Sapphires. Montana sapphires come from all over the state and can be heat treated to get different colors. Yogos are from one specific mine in the state and are known for their distinctive cornflower blue color that is naturally occurring with no heat treatments. A 1ct AAA round can fetch about $15k at least.

    I’d love to know about pink and green sapphires as I may go for one of those for my ring

    I'd love a purple saphire, because technically it's a "hybrid" of Ruby and Sapphire even though they are the same compound only color that differs.😊

    Why does the colour increase the price? is the process of making them more deep in colour more detailed

      Sapphire can be any color of the rainbow (and colorless) except red, because red corundum is called ruby.

    This reminds me of the webtoon Blue Matter where their cael abilities rely on their eyes' hue (green, blue, purple), saturation/brightness, tone/paleness

      @@AsianCurls Absolutely! One of my favorite Webtoons I'm reading rn. My favorite part was probably Shinsa's backstory. It was just some really good chapters. I also love the world building, it's so interesting and complex, without being too complicated to the point I don't understand anything.

    The sapphire of my engagement ring is very dark. You can see the true blue against the light.

    The whole gem industry is based on women trying to find colorful things to match their dresses, which again is used to attract men, who end up buying them more colorful things. The whole jewelry industry would implode if women started having to buy gems for their men.

    • @biosparkles9442

      So, I guess only women have ever worn crown jewels, right?

    • @ionabab7274
      @ionabab7274 4 місяці тому

      Who said it was to attract men 🤨? Idk about you, but I’ve never met a guy who would be attracted to a woman just because he’s has fancy jewellery. That’s dumb. Did you ever think maybe some women like to wear pretty jewellery to just feel pretty?
      And for what it’s worth, in my experience, when women dress up they care far more about the approval of other women, than the approval of men.
