Great video! I've had this truck for the last 2 years. The only thing that I've had to replace that has broken are the outdrive yokes. this truck is indestructible and is a very fun truck to bash with.
Love this ECX, I have FINALLY found a little short course for me, I hesitated between some models, and finally I found a great ocassion; a LRP S10 blast !! A little Team Orion brushless and it does the work !! Nice vid, yeah the ECX brand begin to have some argument for their models, nice vid
The link for the Hobby star brushless set-up isn't working properly. I am looking to purchase one of these Torment SC trucks. Thanks for all the helpful videos and advice.
I pretty much just copied your whole build except for the body colour and the tyres every other part you had I put on my truck it is amazing now the build you did is awesome I use this truck almost every day after school thx alout for sharing your build with us
+cars to bikes to tech thats awesome man! Glad to hear you enjoy it! Feel free to share some pictures on one of are social media sites if you would like! Would love to see it!
first off great over view of torment. got mine about 6 months ago and have not been shy with it.pretty much beat the s@#t out of it and finally broke driveshaft.im thinking of just running flat track instead of short course. any suggestions for set ups and upgrades that would help me out.links and parts suppliers .thanks
hi been watching and enjoying your videos.. but I have been missing this truck really want to see how it handles that 550 motor that's a beast in that 2wd.. if it holds up I will pull the trigger and get one myself.. the 4300 540 can hobbystar looks sweet also
I just watched all your videos for the ECX torment. I just picked up one yesterday and this R/C is super user friendly. I'm going to start fixing it up already! Love the videos!
Awesome man! just not i have been having some issues with the rear RPM hubs and the hot racing driveshafts not working 100% might be best to stick with the stock rear hubs for now.
I got a question, what's the biggest battery I can run on stock esc & brushed motor.. The stock 1800 is ok, but I want a little bit more. Can I run a 2000, I'm waiting for my brushless system to arrive in the mail.. Let me know.. Thanks.. Great vids on the torment..
There is a hobby shop in Flint (about a half hour from me) that carry ECX parts. They have a few of the Rukos (? I think that's what it's called....it a monster truck) for only $229.99. Since they carry parti was thinking of picking one up.
hey matt, please let me know the traxxax Toe front/rear links and steering links part number. secondly plz tell me is i can use proline body mounts, 2wd or 4wd? to raise the body if i use silverado body. thanks
Love buying cheap RC's and turning them into something amazing. There is something satisfying about building something from nothing, and taking it out along the way to see how well it performs along the way. Just finishing up a P2de myself and thinking about an ECX next. Sure, I have some nice RC like Armma, and Team Associated, and in comparison they are thoroughbreds, but it still fun to tinker with 'lesser' RC's.
+niuniu1985 the axles are good but im running into issues using the rpm rear hubs. Working to figure it out.... as soon as i do ill have an update video.
+RC Overload that's what I was afraid of , may be the hot racing rear hub carrier is a good option, as it has the factory spec and should work good with its own brand axle, lol let me know your finding. I'm following most of your mods except with milder 3300kv motor, hope the axle problem can really be figured out for these torments.
Honestly probably a couple hundred in upgrades. All of the rpm stuff alone was almost 100$ then factor in the brushless setup, thats about another 100$. Then add all of the other little things.
ecx seems to be better than Traxxas because your durability test you only break driveshaft but with Traxxas 2wd they break all the time so they need upgrades right away ecx not really
is it possible to convert/upgrade a 2WD torment to a 4WD one without adding a second motor and everything? like they make a 4x4 torment, so can some parts just be changed like axle and driveshaft to make this 4WD or are they very different trucks, chassis, etc?
Great video! I've had this truck for the last 2 years. The only thing that I've had to replace that has broken are the outdrive yokes. this truck is indestructible and is a very fun truck to bash with.
That's awesome to hear. and yes sometimes those parts do break its almost inevitable on all trucks!
Love this ECX, I have FINALLY found a little short course for me, I hesitated between some models, and finally I found a great ocassion; a LRP S10 blast !!

Have you picked up the ECX AMP Crush yet? Love mine

Nice detail over view makes want to pick one up just to do the same
Thanks joe! Its definitely a fun cheap truck that's for sure!

The traxxas toe and camber links, do you find they allow more of the shock of landings to the hubs as opposed to the plastic bars.
Great video, my friend. Very informative. Keep up the good work! It’s a fun hobby.

good video man. I have the stadium truck . your vid has helped me in make my choices for parts. thx
Glad they helped!

I have bought this truck and the ecx circuit. What upgrades would you suggest first and most important
My local hobby shop told me to not upgrade because it was a waste of time for the money and tried to sell me a traxass slash
I wanna say i was able to fit a 5000MAH soft pack in mine? its been forever since i did thought

They are great trucks if you want to not spend as much money. and their actually called Ruckus. lol
+RC Overload I'm thinking of getting it for my kids...they are 9&7 so it'll be perfect.
Hey @rcoverload, could u do a video on the brushless motor please. I'm thinking about buying one for my rcx torment. Thanks! ;)
can you post a list of all the part number and parts from traxxas that fit the torment
hey matt, please let me know the traxxax Toe front/rear links and steering links part number. secondly plz tell me is i can use proline body mounts, 2wd or 4wd? to raise the body if i use silverado body. thanks
looks like a solid and fun to drive truck! Nice video matt, thumbs up!
Thanks man! its definitely it for the price point!
I want to upgrade to a smaller 32p spur gear and bigger pinion gear for ecx torment. Any help would be appreciated
Where do you get all your parts from
Hey Bud, i like watching your vids... maybe feature some trail trucks, hill climbs make an adventure vid YEAHBUDDY !
Nice job Matt!
Thank you!
What servo would you recommend over stock?
Any....Haha it all depends on budget. spektrum servos are great but expensive. savox are also great and have a much better price range.

can you do a tutorial for a roll cage
What happened with the castle brushless motor and the ESC? Why did you upgrade to the hobby start brushless and ESC?
That motor setup went back into my Proline Pro-2 for now so i needed something else and this system fit the bill nicely.
RC Overload is the castle motor better then this hobbystar combo?
love the truck and your shirt haha
Hahaha thanks man! i have had that shirt for years now!
hows the hot racing axle holding up?
+niuniu1985 the axles are good but im running into issues using the rpm rear hubs. Working to figure it out.... as soon as i do ill have an update video.

everyone loves all the information and inputs for these awesome ECX
Torment!
Good video keep it up 👍
Thank you! will do!
ok Kool,good channal brother
So you said the price of the Torment, but how much do you have in this one.
Honestly probably a couple hundred in upgrades. All of the rpm stuff alone was almost 100$ then factor in the brushless setup, thats about another 100$. Then add all of the other little things.
So really not to bad. Now when I go buy mine, I can add stuff slow and the wife wont have a clue. LOL
How much did all the upgrades cost all together?
at least a couple hundred with everything in it. overall it wasn't bad considering the coast of the truck.
Where did you get the body from?
You could get the body on ebay
I kept blowing the metal upgrade ones, I ended up putting a scx10 transmission in it
ecx seems to be better than Traxxas because your durability test you only break driveshaft but with Traxxas 2wd they break all the time so they need upgrades right away ecx not really

when I got my ECX torment truck it was around $200
How did u find the rc get hole for the body
Hey matt, how did you make your intro?
