- On Today's Episode of RC Overload, I go ahead and unbox the Team Associated Pro SC10 that i picked up the last time i visited Wreckless Hobbies. This truck is going to be used honestly for indoor racing only. So there will be plenty of tutorial videos coming soon on what i do with this truck! In the mean time tho i do believe this will be a great little starter truck for me. In which it will allow me to learn how to setup my truck for future racing!
If you have any suggestions for setups, ect. Please don't hesitate to throw me some advice i'm more then willing to take it and learn with this!

@@sidewaystilsunday still have my t4.1 and t4.3 and i still take both of them to the track occasionally. Absolutely my favorite trucks of all time. I guess cause I have had the t4.1 almost damn near 20 yrs, got brand new in 2003 ... whoa them memories i had .. i was a freshman in college...
@@scottie706 and 20 years later you can still be competitive with your t4 series trucks 🤣 that speaks volumes to how well these associated trucks are made

I have the old SC10 4X4, and I love it. It was a durable basher but i got a slash to bash and made it a racer now!!.
OHH WOW!!! that reminds me SOOO much of the old Tamiya trophy truck!! Ahh the memories!!
For carpet racing, especially with an SCT, drop that ride height way down (low 20's). Stand the shocks up. Stiffen shock fluid a good bit. You want to take all the roll out of the truck, or you'll BE rolling in every corner. I would also see if someone makes a sway bar kit for it. I bet you can also swap the stock shocks for some 12mm big bore shocks from an SC5m/SC6.1. If you think those little RTR shocks feel great, wait till you get your hands on the big bore shocks!
For tires, depending on the carpet TYPE you run on, JConcepts Swaggers up front and Pin Downs in the rear should be the ticket.

That front ens of the chassis is very narrow, I've broken 2 of them. Just ordered the RPM chassis brace I've heard it helps a great deal with the weak point up front.

Great vid. Honest question. I have the Lucas oil Sc10 4x4 that has been discontinued. No motor and esc. Is it worth pumping money into such an old model or just buy a new one. Its gotta 8-10 years old.

how to you buy something and not open it right away? I remember i drove 45mins to a HS to get the lost 1/24 SCT and opened it once i got in the car LOL. I just bought a b6.1d on ebay for way cheaper then online still sealed came home ripped it open and had it together in 3.5 hours, only because I got confused on the shocks, and built a shock station
Hey man what part of the Cape you from? I recognized the power line trails you were running I think a bomber I think quite a few videos ago. Me and one of my Bros rode from the Bourne bridge all the way out past P-town to where the national seashore is and they have it fenced off so you can't actually get on to the beach which stinks but we mountain bikes the power line trails pretty much the whole way it was nuts. 😮

The rear bumper is the weakest peace of chit and buying a new one is the same , broke in first battery. The tires suck. The rest is a good starter truck
