WOW, No way do you look 60. Honestly I would have said early 40's. I'm so so very glad that I came across your video. I'm 58 and looking for a foundation after trying the "Go Natural" look with only using a tinted moisturizer. Not working so much. So Thank You ever so much.
I so appreciate your foundation reviews because they include the wear tests. I feel like a lot of foundations go on beautifully, but to me, the real test is what am I going to look like after an 8 hour work day? So many of them gather up and look dotty, or just disappear in patches. Some foundations will accentuate ANY dryness you might have after wearing them. Great info, Angie! Thank you!
I used the Armani Luminous Silk foundation on a long and hot European trip this summer and it held up so well, even while taking a mask on/off. The small bottle is easier to swallow price wise and it last a good long time. I also like the Dior and L’Oréal products. Currently I am enjoying the Jane Iridale powder foundation. I have a few products from Jane Iridale and have enjoyed all of them.
It’s definitely true that we all have different skin. My 54 yo skin is normal/dry and I live in a dry climate. The Haus Labs looks really natural on my skin and wears well. The Hourglass is pretty, too, but looks more heavy. I use EltaMD UV Clear as my sunscreen and don’t use a primer.
The sunscreen she used in this video (r&r) is bought a bottle after watching angies review. I applied it to my face twice. It was so awful that i couldn’t even use it on my neck, chest and hands so I ended up tossing it in the bin.
I bought the Dior Forever Matte and just love it. I don’t wear foundation every day but with the Dior, I find I am wearing makeup more regularly. Thanks for the foundation Fridays - very helpful.
I actually really like the Haus Labs foundation. I do use a primer and setting spray, so that may be the difference. For tinted moisturizers, I’m hooked on the Lancôme Skin Feels Good.
I love the Hourglass. I watched quite a few reviews and everyone that likes it, uses less than a full pump. That's how it works for me too. It just seems to work better that way and everything stays nice and blurred.
I will have to try with less than a pump too. And maybe with the beauty blender. But with a full pump applied with a brush, it looked cakey and felt drying on my face every time, with primer, without and no setting powder cause my face felt tight already.
I love your foundation reviews. I went and purchased the Dior foundation about a month ago and it is really holds up the way you stated. I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. Thanks, Angie.
Thank you so much Angie for testing these two foundations. I was at the Sephora Spring Sale and asked for a sample of the Haus Labs foundation and I put it on today. No matter what new foundations I try, I always go back to my Estée Lauder double wear in Pebble in the summer and Dusk in the winter. I also like Pure Beige in the Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue. My two Holy Grails for about 28 years. Thanks again. I value your opinion.🙋♀️🤗
I always appreciate your reviews, Angie. I'm just a few months younger than you. I turn 60 in January. I actually have the Hourglass foundation and love it, but my skin may be more dry than yours. On me it is close to full coverage and lasts at least 12 hours. It also doesn't get patchy or cakey on me like so many foundations do. I love wearing the Kosas cloud set powder to set it. I find that powder doesn't cake on my foundation.
I've been impressed with some of the Sephora brand foundations. Neither of the foundations today did you justice. Most recently bought Sephora brow color. Inexpensive and works well. My aging thinning brows are light ash brown and gray so I color the hair with brow product and fill in with a pencil. It's 2 steps but works for my disappearing brows. Thank you Angie for the unbiased and truthful product reviews!
Boy, I really dodged a bullet, thanks to you once again, Angie. I nearly bought the Haus Labs because I was falling for the hype and some raves by younger reviewers. You are still the person I trust the most because of your thoroughness in testing. Thanks for saving me money, again, because I'm not purchasing either foundation. Happy 3rd Birthday to your baby dog! XXOO ❤️
I bought the Haus and my experience with it is golden! We all have different akin and MI e loves the Haus. Doesn't settle, looks like doing and there's ingredients that are very beneficial to skin. For me its a winner!
Love the Hourglass..Tried the Dior twice 2 different purchases and it was not a good foundation on my skin had to return them both times I still love my Estee Lauder Double Wear I've tried at least 6 or 7 new foundations in the last several months and continue going back to that one, the Haus Labs was not a good one for me either I'll continue my search until I find my special foundation but until then I stick with what works for me..Thanks Angie have a great day!
First time on this page and I was completely shocked when you told us your age! I thought you were the same age as me in my 40s. I recently bought the Haus Labs foundation and I love it. I guess it’s pretty personal but I still thought your review was great!
Completely agree about the Dior Forever Matte. I am 65, and it has made a huge difference in how I look with foundation on. I tried a sample of the Hourglass after watching several of my other fav You-Tubers, and oh man, it was awful! I looked like a hot mess, even when using the tiniest amount. Thanks for your honest review, and I really appreciate you not being "obsessed" with everything or telling us how "amazing" everything is. If I had to pick one channel to follow overall, it would always be yours - your honesty and your research speak to me as a viewer and consumer! Curious if you have tried the Dior Skin Correct undereye concealer. It is a new fav over the Lancome for me as well. Thank you, and have a lovely weekend!
I am loving the Haus Labs foundation on non mask wearing days. It’s a great skin match, one pump is more than enough to cover my entire face with great coverage, no fragrance, and wears like a dream for 8-10 hours. It doesn’t wear well under my mask, though. It rubs off even when doused with setting spray. So that’s a bummer. But, other than that I love it! Doesn’t settle into fine lines, applies like a dream with a brush and a sponge, and really does look like skin. The shade finder was spot on as well. I am 48 with normal skin as reference.
I’m so addicted to your videos, I watch all of them-even the foundation reviews. And I don’t even wear foundation! But if I did, I know which ones I would try, thanks to you Angie. Have a great weekend. 😊🇨🇦
The Dior and Chanel foundations are also my favorites. I recently tried Mac Studio Radiance face and body sheer foundation. I didn’t expect much but I have to say I was very surprised how nicely it wears on my skin. FYI , I got your brushes and they are amazing😊👍
I love watching your foundation videos and I also like how you always recommend getting a sample. Everyone skin is different. Hourglass did not work for me pooka dot pores. The Haus labs looks beautiful on me. I am only a couple years younger. I agree always get a sample first!!!
Geez, I wish I would have saw this before I bought Haus Labs and trying it for the first time today. I saw so many good reviews about it, and then I wore it today. It was awful on my skin! Wore off on my nose, and chin. I'm 61 and trying to find the perfect foundation for me. I'll look at the ones you posted and as for Haus Labs...it's leaving my haus and heading back to the store. Love your videos. Thanks so much for helping us older gals figure it out!
Great video. I love how you test these foundations and help us save our money! My skin is very dry, esp in the fall/winter months here in Ohio. I can’t even use powder to set any foundation because it soaks up every bit of moisture/hydration on my face. 😕. My daily foundation is the Loreal True Match Nude and for special occasions, it’s Chanel because it just never fails to provide superior results.
Angie you are a brave soul, being willing to get up close to the camera and tell the visual truth! I would never have put you at 60 yrs old, btw. My own "baby dog" (a Briard) will be three toward the end of November. Dogs are wonderful and life is good!
Cute glasses! Thank you for reviewing both of these foundations! I was interested in both. I’ve come to the conclusion that if it says “glow” that it’s not for me. I really don’t like a shiny face!
My three favs are Makeup Forever HD, Beauty Blender, and Sephora Best Skin Ever (for total coverage, I use it to dot on dark spots instead of concealer, it's fantastic and stays put). Always finish with Makeup Forever or Bobbie Brown finishing powder and Mac spritz). All manage to work well for video shootings, on stage performances really well and never let me down just w/day to day wear. But with that said, I'm TOTALLY EXCITED about HausTutti Gel-Powder Highlighter. Saw a video a makeup artist did with it and was blown away. I've tried so many (Becca was my fav, as well as one of the Sephora ones) but the Haus is the most natural. A friend ran into me on the street and called me radiant!!! It's got a shimmer sans looking like I'm doing a show in a glam band, really looks natural under the sun. I adore it. A bit pricey at 41 bucks but I can see this compact can easily last all year. My two and a half cents for the day 💜
I know this video is a year old but I have to mention you are the only person on here that wasn’t crazy about the Haus Labs foundation. Thanks for the review.
I'm always in the market for that ideal foundation. I have some goodies but couldn't resist watching your video on Haus. I love the soft glow concept. 65 here. It's a great decade btw. Thanks again!
Just subscribed. Thank you for your honest review. They are truly hard to find. This has helped me, tremendously! Idk how it took me this long to find you and MY place, as a woman in my 40's😊
Angie, I love how thorough and honest your reviews are! I agree that the Haus foundation on you showed too much texture from the start. And what is it with all the luminousity?!?!? There's a big difference between luminous and greasy! So many faces and finishes just end up looking greasy, and slimier as the day goes on!!! Give me a softer matte finish every time! P.S. I have also loved the L'Oreal True Match foundation for years! I've tried higher end products, but the L'Oreal True Match is my holy grail!!!
Angie, I would love for you to review the Jones Road line. I’m 65 and really enjoying the face pencils, miracle balms, WRT, eye shadows and lip products. I had to play around with the pencils and balm. They are now my go to for casual days for a healthy look.
I funny how luminous it looks on you. It definitely does not look like that on me and I don't have dry skin. I really like this one. I do love your reviews.
I never buy anything anymore without your recommendation and seal of approval! i was just about to buy the haus lab and have it shipped to europe! nothing you have recommended so far is a fail! From high end concealers & foundations (teint idole & Christian dior), to drug store foundations (l'oreal nude), skin care dupes (timeless) ...thank you so much!!! 🙏
Good morning Angie! Thank you for this fabulous video this video! I love your channel and have been here since the beginning!!♡♡♡I wanted to know do you still use the nuface?
I’m interested in the Saie tint moisturizer. I might pick that one up. Hoping for a sale soon, maybe Black Friday. I recently got a light laser and I only need something to lightly cover minor imperfections, without looking makeupy.
Thanks for another honest review! I picked up the Hourglass Ambience based on a couple other UA-cam reviews and have been pretty happy with it, but definitely have to use a light touch. That said, I think 8 hours is about its limit. (It lasted longer when the store person put it on me with their primer, but I didn't feel like shelling out that much extra). Would love a review of the MUFE HD Skin foundation. I have that concealer and like it a lot. It also claims to be longlasting, but those claims - as you have shown - can be hard to keep!
Yay, I’ve been really wondering about both of these, and the side by side comparison is so helpful. And thank you soooo much for including the flash photo test when you’re reviewing a foundation. A lot of people don’t include that information, and it’s really important to me. Great video!
She really has given all her secrets. If you go back and watch all her videos and take her skin care recommendations seriously, your skin will look youthful like hers. I started watching her about five years ago and my skin looks younger and better today than it did five years ago! 😁
I am so glad that I read the comments and watched your video. I have very similar skin and agree with most of your reviews and we have similar favorites when it comes to concealer, mascara, etc. I am definitely going to purchase the Dior Forever Matte foundation because it looks amazing on you. I am also going to pass on these two foundations. Thank you so much for all you put your face through so we don’t have to! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Hi Angie I picked up the hourglass a few weeks ago I was not keen on it at all I appreciate you reviewing the two together Don’t think I I be picking up the other one as don’t like the way it wears off the skin see you in the next one 🌺🌸
Happy belated birthday! Do not know when your birthday was, but it popped out to me when you said 60! BTW, I watched you since you just started out - loved you every since
Hi Angie, I really think you'd love the L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear foundation. Thin and light-weight, great for many skin types... long-lasting. Definitely comparable to high-end. I personally think it is superior to their serum foundation.
I love how you cap off every foundation review by comparing to your top holy grails. It makes it clear where you stand vs some reviews that seem to just “like” every foundation they try. I’m with you on these two. I sampled both but neither one outperformed my current holy grail L’Oréal nude hyaluronic serum foundation. It’s more flattering and lasts longer at a much better price.
Re the reviewers who like everything: I would bet that they have normal skin without a lot of redness or texture. Most foundations are going to work well on them!
Thanks so much for this comment!! I really like the L'Oréal one and was thinking the Haus Lab foundation would be an upgrade - I would be so annoyed if I spent the money on that only to find out the L'Oréal is better 😅
@@katzcapzz haha no prob. Yes I found that the Haus Labs is noticeably more radiant than the L’Oréal, and I find myself wanting to powder it several times throughout the day because my pores start looking bigger. With the L’Oréal I powder once after applying and I’m pretty much good to go the rest of the day. Every high end foundation I try I keep comparing to it.
Thank you Angie for your thoroughness on makeup. I have fallen in love with the dior. This one is still working very good for me and its because of you !!!!!! Thank you.........
Thank you for doing this as I have been curious about both. I am with you on the Dior!!!! In fact it was because of you that I purchased. Believe we are skin matches so I always follow your recommendations. Thanks for all you do!
OMGosh ! I am enjoying your videos, they are so informative ! And thank you for this review. I bought a highlighter from Haus Labs, and my order came with button samples of 6 different shades of this Haus Labs foundation. So, even though it is a light to medium coverage, I tried it anyway, and low and behold, just what I expected.
Angie, I couldn't see the Dior Forever matte in your blog ranking. Is it one of your holy grails? My fave foundations are same as yours so am keen to know. ❤❤❤
I had to play around with (Haus) it… once I found the right combination of product it looked and set beautifully. I hope you keep trying and give an update ❤
Angie are you planning to try the Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder? This product has gotten many good reviews but to me you really test things out as far as wearability goes. Love to see it. Thank you
I think that Haus labs foundation needs so light weight base and skincare underneath that it doesnt sit on the skin weird. But If The skincare is right, that foundation is a amazing foundation! ❣️ And also setting is must, even on the dryer skin 😌
I have been dying to try the Haus but couldn’t get a color match to come up and my Sephora is only carrying 5 shades in store. Now, with a big thank you, Angie, I will forget it and move on. I did just purchase the Dior Forever and was so excited to try it, got home and discovered I was not given the Matte finish but rather given the Radiant in my shade-I went ahead and tried it-it was a horror show. A trip back to exchange for the Matte asap for me. Thank you again Angie-you really do the homework and make(up) life so much easier for us!
For those of us with very dry, sensitive skin: Please note that the Haus Labs Skin Tech Foundation has alcohol in it. It's way down the ingredients list, but it's there. Also, there are a lot of "extracts' in it. My quick check doesn't show that any of them are fragrances, but I may have missed something. However, my quick check on the ingredients for the Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation shows no alcohol and no fragrance. Also, it has several moisturizing ingredients at the beginning of the list, so I would guess it's geared to those with normal to dry skin. Yay, a department store product apparently suitable for dry, sensitive skin! Of course, you always have to road test it and see if it works for you. I suspect the Hourglass product might wear better on those of us with very dry skin. I can only speak for myself, but, if a foundation applies well on my face, it usually stays on very well until I remove it. One more comment: Unfortunately, all of Angie's favorite foundations EXCEPT the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup have fragrance and/or alcohol.
I have dry skin and that could be one reason why I love the new HG foundation. I have worn it about 5 times so far and I love it. I'm neutral between fair & light shades. I bought shade 3 which turned out to be too light but the next neutral shade was clearly too dark. So I'm definitely glad that I have pigment drops from Physicians Formula.
@@eponai That's correct. Unfortunately, the product has Alcohol Denat. in it, aka SD40 alcohol aka isopropyl alcohol. This is the drying type of alcohol. I found this in the ingredients list for the product on the Sephora website. A lot of foundations have alcohol in them because it makes the product apply smoothly. But if you're using a product daily, it's not a good idea to use one with this type of alcohol.
Angie, love your channel! You should really try Glo minerals powder foundation- I try others but always go back to this- I have oily aging skin and it’s such a great foundation!
I'm looking forward to trying the Dior when I travel next (can't get it in our small town). I would have tried these 2, so thanks for saving me from that. I love your reviews 😍
Have you tested Jones Road, I just bought what the foundation and hope to hear your thoughts. You are my favorite person ❤ I’ve bought several things you’ve recommended and am loving them. I hope you do a review soon! Thank you!
Angie is one of the few who go the distance when testing makeup, and it’s truly appreciated! ❤
Thanks so much!😘
Yes it is!!!!💕
And we all appreciate her reviews!!
Definitely ❤❤🙏🏻
Shes my go to reviewer, love her!
WOW, No way do you look 60. Honestly I would have said early 40's. I'm so so very glad that I came across your video. I'm 58 and looking for a foundation after trying the "Go Natural" look with only using a tinted moisturizer. Not working so much. So Thank You ever so much.
She is GORGEOUS but I’d say 50s not 40s especially not early 40s.
I love your foundation reviews. I wish more UA-camrs would get as up close and personal with their cameras as you do.
Thank you!
I love the Haus labs foundation, im in my early 40s. it goes on like a dream. its one of my faves.
I used the Armani Luminous Silk foundation on a long and hot European trip this summer and it held up so well, even while taking a mask on/off. The small bottle is easier to swallow price wise and it last a good long time.

I don’t plan on buying either foundation but I love reviews of foundation so I’m here for it ❤
She is very trusted with her reviews. You do have to take in consideration the sunscreen she uses.
The Dior foundation launched me into living makeup again (or for the first time) too!
I actually really like the Haus Labs foundation. I do use a primer and setting spray, so that may be the difference. For tinted moisturizers, I’m hooked on the Lancôme Skin Feels Good.
You do the best foundation reviews!!
Thank you Crystal! 💜
Love, love, love your foundation Friday! No one does this better!
I love the Hourglass. I watched quite a few reviews and everyone that likes it, uses less than a full pump. That's how it works for me too. It just seems to work better that way and everything stays nice and blurred.
Same here. Less is more with that one! When I do a full pump it does not wear as well.
I love the hourglass too. So glad I bought it.
I will have to try with less than a pump too. And maybe with the beauty blender. But with a full pump applied with a brush, it looked cakey and felt drying on my face every time, with primer, without and no setting powder cause my face felt tight already.
The hourglass foundation wears so much better on me too. I love it. It lasts, looks good and I wish more people were talking about this! Thank you
I love your foundation reviews. I went and purchased the Dior foundation about a month ago and it is really holds up the way you stated. I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. Thanks, Angie.
Me too at 78!
Thank you so much Angie for testing these two foundations. I was at the Sephora Spring Sale and asked for a sample of the Haus Labs foundation and I put it on today. I have dry/normal skin and am 54. I LOVE Haus Labs. New HG.
Good to know. Thank you both
@@heatherjane910 Same. 53, sensitive/combo skin and I have found my HG.
I bought the Haus and my experience with it is golden! We all have different akin and MI e loves the Haus. Doesn't settle, looks like doing and there's ingredients that are very beneficial to skin. For me its a winner!
Oh good grief. Me and my thumbs. The Haus looks natural and I could not love it more!

They outdoor test of the hourglass looked unattrative at best. Thank you so very much for saving me money!!! Your foundation reviews are stellar!

I’m so envious of your sunny weather. Lots of floods in Australia at the moment. I’ll be avoiding both foundations.

Excuse me? I thought you were 45 or 48 the most. You are STUNNING! I am 30 and if I look anything like you when I am 60 I will be very happy.
Thx-you saved me, I was planning on trying both of these, I won’t bother. I have plenty of foundation including the Dior and others I love. 😊
Nothing has surpassed my Uoma or LYS. Great reviews!!!
I would love to see you testing sweed glass skin
Good morning Angie! Thank you for this fabulous video this video! I love your channel and have been here since the beginning!!♡♡♡I wanted to know do you still use the nuface?
Hi Julie! Thanks for being with me from the beginning! I do still use the NuFace every other day and still love it!!
Hi Angie, you look so cute in glasses! In fact, I think I have the exact same frames!
I have mature dry skin, 68 and the Haus Labs is so pretty and sits well, I do powder it to set and set it with a sitting spray.❤
Glad it was helpful!
I need proof of age!!! Tell us all your secrets. You gave a great review and thanks for taking the time to be thorough.
She really has given all her secrets. If you go back and watch all her videos and take her skin care recommendations seriously, your skin will look youthful like hers. I started watching her about five years ago and my skin looks younger and better today than it did five years ago! 😁
It’s called face tune , photo editing & lighting
I am so glad that I read the comments and watched your video. I have very similar skin and agree with most of your reviews and we have similar favorites when it comes to concealer, mascara, etc. I am definitely going to purchase the Dior Forever Matte foundation because it looks amazing on you. I am also going to pass on these two foundations. Thank you so much for all you put your face through so we don’t have to! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Thanks for all your hard work. I think I will pass on this one. Thanks Angie Jennifer 😄
I love your Foundation Fridays. I’m still enthralled with my Huda stick so I’ll sit Pat. ☺️
Hi Angie I picked up the hourglass a few weeks ago I was not keen on it at all
I appreciate you reviewing the two together
Don’t think I I be picking up the other one as don’t like the way it wears off the skin see you in the next one 🌺🌸
Darn it! I bought the Haus labs but haven't opened it yet. I have a sample that I will try first! Thanks Angie!
To shiny and creased but your videos are so awesome and honest thank you so much 👍🥰💐
Thank god I watched this video as I was considering buying these! Thank you.
Thanks for another thorough foundation review!! I love the nail polish you're wearing in this video but I couldn't find it in the description.
So nice of you to test these for us. Especially over skincare and sunblock! Thanks so.
You are so welcome!
I also love the L'Oreal nude serum foundation. Wears so nicely and the price is right.
I have ordered the Dior makeup and can't wait to try it! Appreciate your thorough, informative videos!
Thank you Angie! I was holding off on purchasing the Dior because I saw the hype on these two foundations, but not any more!
Thank you Angie for your thoroughness on makeup. I have fallen in love with the dior. This one is still working very good for me and its because of you !!!!!! Thank you.........
Please could you also review the Patrick Ta cream foundation.
I love the Haus. Seriously perfect after a very long day, no creasing, perfect coverage!
Happy it works for you!
Can you make a video on bronzers? I need suggestion on bronzers that don't look orange.
Angie, I couldn't see the Dior Forever matte in your blog ranking. Is it one of your holy grails? My fave foundations are same as yours so am keen to know. ❤❤❤
I’m so glad I came across your page. I appreciate the way you review makeup. Great videos. Think I found my new favorite beauty reviewer!
Yay! Thank you!
Angie you’re the 3rd mature reviewer that has said 👎about Haus Labs. Thank you for saving me money 💰
Iv heard nothing but good things about the foundation.
Watch Kackie beauty's review of the Haus Lab foundation. Her closeups reveal exactly what happened to me when I tried it. Aged me a few more years.
I had to play around with (Haus) it… once I found the right combination of product it looked and set beautifully. I hope you keep trying and give an update ❤
Thank you, please review Myricks blurring balm foundation powder next.
Could you try Seint makeup, Angie? Thank you!
Angie are you planning to try the Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder? This product has gotten many good reviews but to me you really test things out as far as wearability goes. Love to see it. Thank you
I bought the Dior after seeing your review. I ❤❤❤it!!!
Always TRUST your Reviews….Thanks Angie💋
I reall trust angies opinion much love ❤
Angie its the 40 dollar one😊Era Everyday Airbrush Spray on foundation. I spray and a brush and apply
Excellent review and recap at the end of your current favs
Hi Angie! LOVE your glasses. Can you tell me the name of the manufacturer and the color? THANKS - Joan
Please do a review on the Laura Gellar Baked Balance-n-Brighten foundation/make-up
Love this!!! ❤❤ ooh, next suggested compare: the Saie Slip Tint vs Nars Tinted Moisturizer (pretty please!!!)
@@theresas2520 I didn't know PF had pigment drops! Thanks for sharing that 👍
Very helpful!
what kind of alcohol though? not all alcohols are bad/drying.
Thanks so much for this Angie! I'm 60 also with a very similar skin type to yours. I don't think either of these would work for me. Great video!😊❤❤
Thank you!
