The use of a simple octagon printout as a guide rather than where my brain has been stuck (using a small mitre over and over again tediously) is really a game changer. Thanks for sharing your process!
VERY cool, probably my favourite of out all the items you've made thus far. Interesting technique to get the oxidization on the statue to look so realistic! Keep up the great work.
Thanks Jordan! I was contemplating whether or not to keep the bronze clean. I'm glad I decided to go the weathered route, it ended up being one of my favourite parts of this build.
Thank you for showing your roadblocks in the video! I’ve watched a lot of crafting videos and felt like I was the only one struggling and redesigning stuff whenever I hit a road block so it was really nice to see how you worked through it.
I watch a lot of other crafters who use foam but I think I like your style the most. I've use a lot of your techniques and ideas in my builds. Keep up the good videos.
Awesome build. Fountains are a great town center. A bit of advice for brickwork, the joints at the corners of the octagon should maintain bond even if there is a joint. Put two halves next to eachother rather than a half next to a full.
Turned out great. I had the exact same problem with the height of the Proxxon on a fountain I made a little while ago. I wound up powering through using an Olfa knife and glued it to some chip board to hide the wobbles. There is indeed a lot of trouble shooting in crafting ...
Thank you! I'm getting used to cutting my larger pieces in half then glueing them together as a workaround. The Olfa knife solution always works when in doubt.
Not used to comment vids but had to congratulate you for your content in general and this video especially. I really like the way you show the problems you faced during the building process and how you solved them. It’s really interesting and it is such a time saver for those watching. Also it gives idea to solve other problems that we may have find while using similar techniques. Thank you very much for it. I recently invest in some quality materials to try my own builds but sadly I didn’t find any wire cutter machine and I just found a manual one for the moment. Do you recommend any tips to cut the foam in thinner slices ?
Hey, thanks for the comment! Glad to hear you've been enjoying the videos. The handheld cutter is great for lots of stuff, but it'll be tricky to cut thin sheets with it. For small pieces, a ruler and knife will be your best bet. For large thin sheets, I'd suggest switching to foamboard. It's 5mm thick and the sheets I use are around 3mm. It's a close match.
thank you so much for this tutorial man !! My son really enjoyed to test it ! I am ashamed but can you share with him the plan for the brick mount ? thank you so much . ( where do you buy the proxxon guide please ? )
доброе утро...в какой диораме вы использовали этот фонтан.....мне нравятся ваши работы....подписалась на вас ...поставила лайки....может быть попробую что подобное....спасибо за м к..
Hello, I have a question for you. I wanna start making dioramas and I dont know if i should choose 28mm or 32mm minies to the diorama. What is your opinion about that? Btw nice video!
You can't go wrong with either for dioramas. Popular wargames have been trending towards the larger 32mm, but D&D minis have remained smaller to fit the classic 1 inch grid. I personally prefer the slightly larger size.
@@OkayHobbyTime Thank you for clarifying. I just finished this build today following your guide, keep em coming. And drop something mausoleum/graveyard/vampire counts themed terrain ideas!

Super réalisation. C'est très intéressant de voir aussi les échecs…
Merci!
This verdigris/bronze effect is one the most convincing examples I have seen so far. Nice work!
Thank you! Glad to hear that.
Love that fountain!
Thank you! 😀
Solid build!

Nicely done.

It happens so often haha. The magic of editing allows for most of it to be cut out. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for some great techniques, as well as the difficulties, and how you overcame them. Awesome .!.!.!
Thanks you! 😀

Thank you! Glad to hear the videos have been helpful.
If you wanted more algae in the water, you could sprinkle some of fine flock into the resin after you clear the bubbles.
For sure! Fun idea. I’ve also seen scale leaves in the hobby store which could work as well.
Very nicely done. Love the combination of foam and 3d prints.
Thank you! Combining the two is my favourite way of working. Glad you enjoyed it.
Very lovely color palette, I tend to make my terrain pieces too dark, dirty and grungy
Thanks! The darker direction is cool as well. But yeah, I tend to keep my pieces pretty clean. Mostly done by not using a black ink wash.
I love that you included your learning process and problem solving! This turned out amazing it would be a great centre piece! Well done!!
Thanks Aaron! Glad you enjoyed it
Cool
Nice work, would have been cool to add some little lines of water coming from the lions mouths to make it more of an active fountain.
Another excellent video! I enjoy coming up with solutions to my creative road blocks. Makes the build more fun!
Thank you-and I agree!
A very nice build and as always a great presentation as well.
Thank you!

You make amazing content. Hope your channel really takes off for you. Can’t wait to see the next one
Thank you, Patrick. It's much appreciated. More to come.
Great build man ❤
Thank you! 😀
Nice job! That came out really good! I wouldn't have thought to use Rhinox hide for a metallic base, but now I won't have any second thoughts.

Thank you! And glad to hear, it's a great technique and creates a bronze with lots of depth.
just found your channel, brilliant work mate! keep it up
Thank you! Glad you found it and enjoying the work.
Adam, you just broke my brain.

Glad to hear that! I get all my Proxxon guides from a site called Shifting Lands. And can you clarify what plan you wanted? I'll do my best to help.

I love this video but I have a question can you tell me which sheet or foam you use to ke the bricks
Thanks! The foam I use is Foamular XPS insulation.
What is the Knight Mini in the beginning of the vid ?
Hey, he's from Highland Miniatures. Sunland Knights.
did you make all your organizers your self ?
They're from a company called Hobbyzone.pl! They come flat packed so there's assembly required.

"The brighter bronze color" Which was what? Balthasar gold?
Rhinox hide base > Balthasar gold drybrush > Runelord Brass drybrush (highest points only)
