Ryuga often appear and disappear with a flash in the anime, i always saw this as a special skill of him and L-Drago so, in the end, he just used this to go back to the volcano and rest. This is how i interpreted his end. As someone here sayed, see a character image on the sky tend to mean he/she is dead. Is just a tendency, not a law. I feel and like to believe Ryuga is alive, specially because of Sakyo talking about the legendary blader and Ryuga's silhouette appearing. He is alive on manga (I can't say how happy i am for discovering this), so, why not in the anime? Well, maybe one day we will discover. He is my favourite character, so... Yes. This is what I've always assumed as well. Ryuga and L drago both used up all their stregnth against Nemesis and once they gave away the star fragment they had nothing left, resulting in the same fate as Storm Pegasus. So in my mind Ryuga and L Drago are temporarily gone in order to "rest". Though I assume reconstructing an entire human body from scratch would take longer than a bey, which is why they haven't returned in shogun steel. This is how I've seen it at least.
Thing is though, even if Ryo thought it would, Storm Pegasus never came back as far as we know. Galaxy Pegasus was its prototype but Gingka never got it back.

My personal interpretation is after he transformed flame sagitarrio into flash while everyone was fixated on that he escaped because we’ve seen him vanish from places when people aren’t looking. Then he goes back to where doji found him to sleep and recover his strength. When he wakes up more then likely he gets a new l drago beyblade maybe guardian or golden armor, we’ve seen different versions of pegasus in the anime that had their origin changed so it’s not out of the question a different l drago could’ve been made while making lightning l drago. 13:05 Ive thought this for a while but havent really heard anyone say this. I feel like the chamber that ryuga came out of was a version of the arrangement system that was shown in metal masters. It makes sense, as ryugas body when he was first shown, collapsed. So its possible that doji and dr Z put him in there, and then made backups just in case. It would explain how doji constantly "dies" but keeps coming back. He was able to transfer his conscious to a pc in shogun steel, so it doesnt seem out of the possibility for them to have figured that technology out way earlier on. If they do bring back metal fight, I think they should make a series between 4d and shogun steel. So it would be like 2 or 3 years after nemesis. They could go along with exploring info about the dragon clan, realize ryuga is an adult, and therefore would nullify the world championships. So they would have to do another one, with way stronger bladers this time. Could be a good storyline, maybe a chance to introduce manga only characters, like kyouya's brother, give helios a spotlight, and maybe just other new characters. Ive always had my own head canon for a series but im just small person theres no way I could convince a corporation of why these ideas would be beneficial potentially :v If youd wanna hear that story let me know cuz Ive been tying together said series for a while now, and ive managed to come up with a good story and transition into zero-g and beyond :) anyways good vid :D

I Believe ryuga gave him his bey but it’s not that crazy that kenta gave him his bey too since kenta is shown working for the wbba now at the end of zero g with Ryo and hikaru and he could’ve easily made a dragon zero g beyblade inspired by ldrago then gave it to sakyo and gave him that mission however one major thing that helps my case is that the mission sakyo states sounds like something ryuga would do not something kenta would do and like you said he was given the bey by a legendary blader so I guess that proves this case even more

That’s a big misconception, I also thought the same thing when I was younger. L-Drago Guardian’s only Manga appearance is in an arc where Gingka and Ryuga are in a virtual reality training simulator. L-Drago Destroy is granted a temporary evolution/upgrade to L-Drago Guardian while inside this simulator. But when Ryuga is shown in the Zero-G arc battling against Sakyo, his bey is L-Drago Destroy DF105LRF.
I think he did die temporarily in the final battle. The star bladers are under the gods protection. The battle with Rago probably took most of Ryuga’s power. So he was only holding on due to the gods protection. When he gave the power to Kenta he had nothing left safeguarding him. No power, no energy, no star fragment= no protection, no nothing. So I think he disappeared into thin air. Leaving the earth for a while. But his dragon spirit brings him back. His soul was in limbo, in between life and death. But over his sleeping period, his dragon spirit drags his soul back into his body, reviving him.
Honestly, narratively speaking, I could imagine that him perishing is a thing that happened. Besides that, however, I would find it believable that Ryuga could have survived. Weirdly enough, Beyblade has touched on the notion of a character dying in the series multiple times, and one notable time a character with heavy story significance, namely Kai, was implied to have died from the strain of his fight against Brooklyn, his Dranzer even crumbled to pieces. Of course, the Dub just didn't even want to entertain the thought, but we do see that in spite of this implied death, not only does Kai come back to see the final battle between Tyson and Brooklyn, even Dranzer was back since in the final scene, Kai and Tyson duke it out one last time. Yeah, that was a whole other generation, but I could imagine that if MFB wanted to kill Ryuga properly, they would have made it very clear he didn't make it, since in that very same series, they dropped Rago down a cliff, and he is very dead. They left it ambiguous, and they also tried to tease at the end of Shogun Steel/Zero G that, if the series did continue, Ryuga would likely have returned, as they used that ever popular dragon cloud. As far as I'm concerned, Ryuga probably did survive the battle against Nemesis, but he probably was tempered in his drive to be the ultimate since he softened up to someone like Kenta.
I feel like the only person who could really die in metal fusion was reji with the poison serpent beyblade at the end of his battle with ginga he turns to stone and hes never seen again
Actually, I believe that Ryuga is ALIVE AND NOT ALIVE at the same time. After he disappeared, I pictured him as the MIGHTY DRAGON who lost its PUISSANCE as he gave his star fragment and perhaps all his power. His mighty power being vanished, he became a spirit or angel ready to go to the skies, where he will restore his energy. Basically, he is "Not Alive" as he is nowhere to be seen in the anime but "Alive" as he is in his CELESTIAL REALM, where he can look at what is happening to the Beyblade world AND where he awaits for a big moment to unfold before he could get back to earth.
A theory that I have is that remember when Pegasus disappeared after battling lightning L drago… it left bc it passed its limits. The same thing could’ve happened to ryuga and l drago, they passed their limits and are resting

Adachi didn’t have much involvement with the team on the anime, so he doesn’t even know what their plan was, but he did admit that it looked like he died. The scene was playing out in a dramatic way and characters like Gingka have seen him pop up out of nowhere and vanish. In the end, it’s pretty much up to interpretation. No, I’m not gonna feed on bread crumbs like the cloud thing and the “disappearing like Storm Pegasus” bs. Ryuga straight up disappeared in front of the cast in frickin sparkles and they cried. There would be no reason for them to cry the way they did if it’s just “disappear to rest and come back” and Gingka saw him disappear before. How are people just overlooking how Ryo mentioned how adults weren’t allowed to join the World Championship in the anime?? Is Ryo that forgettable to people?? The hundred-years thing is only in the manga. The manga and anime are completely different, as parallel or alternate universes, so they should be treated as separate canons. Treating them as one and the same would cause some problems with consistency in either stories. TLDR: Ryuga in the manga, he’s alive. In the anime, maybe alive, but the people running the anime played the scene out as though he did, thus up to interpretation.
I love this topic since my fav charackter ever is ryuga. I got all his beys! I got a theorie. Maybe he reborn and his bey turned from guardian L Drago (like the actual Guardian L drago bey wich came out after the fury series). Idk the rest but i mean its still smth XD

I haven't read the manga but i fondly remember the anime. It is not a rare case for an anime to differentiate from a manga. In fact u can just treat them like 2 different stories. I think we shouldn't draw parallels between the two unless it's verified by the writer(i haven't done research). I think the scene where he turns into dust is the resolution of his character. About the end scene it's obviously the trope of "dead character looking from above his comrades". Honestly don't know how to feel about doji. Looks a little like lazy writing but who cares anyway. Beyblade doesn't strive to be the new one piece and stuff. Anyway from i saw the zero g anime is based on its manga which supposedly should be the continuation to metal fury but as it was said in the video the manga and the anime stories differ a little. Hence this explains all of the confusion. To conclude zero g is a manga related to the other beyblade manga and in the same time ,,continuation" to the anime which are 2 different things.

That’s a big misconception, I also thought the same thing when I was younger.
L-Drago Guardian’s only Manga appearance is in an arc where Gingka and Ryuga are in a virtual reality training simulator.
L-Drago Destroy is granted a temporary evolution/upgrade to L-Drago Guardian while inside this simulator.
But when Ryuga is shown in the Zero-G arc battling against Sakyo, his bey is L-Drago Destroy DF105LRF.

I think he did die temporarily in the final battle. The star bladers are under the gods protection. The battle with Rago probably took most of Ryuga’s power. So he was only holding on due to the gods protection. When he gave the power to Kenta he had nothing left safeguarding him. No power, no energy, no star fragment= no protection, no nothing. So I think he disappeared into thin air. Leaving the earth for a while. But his dragon spirit brings him back. His soul was in limbo, in between life and death. But over his sleeping period, his dragon spirit drags his soul back into his body, reviving him.
Honestly, narratively speaking, I could imagine that him perishing is a thing that happened.
Besides that, however, I would find it believable that Ryuga could have survived.
Weirdly enough, Beyblade has touched on the notion of a character dying in the series multiple times, and one notable time a character with heavy story significance, namely Kai, was implied to have died from the strain of his fight against Brooklyn, his Dranzer even crumbled to pieces. Of course, the Dub just didn't even want to entertain the thought, but we do see that in spite of this implied death, not only does Kai come back to see the final battle between Tyson and Brooklyn, even Dranzer was back since in the final scene, Kai and Tyson duke it out one last time.
Yeah, that was a whole other generation, but I could imagine that if MFB wanted to kill Ryuga properly, they would have made it very clear he didn't make it, since in that very same series, they dropped Rago down a cliff, and he is very dead.
They left it ambiguous, and they also tried to tease at the end of Shogun Steel/Zero G that, if the series did continue, Ryuga would likely have returned, as they used that ever popular dragon cloud.
As far as I'm concerned, Ryuga probably did survive the battle against Nemesis, but he probably was tempered in his drive to be the ultimate since he softened up to someone like Kenta.
I feel like the only person who could really die in metal fusion was reji with the poison serpent beyblade at the end of his battle with ginga he turns to stone and hes never seen again
Reiji turning to stone was symbolism. He’s shown at the end of Fusion and his name appears on the Japan leaderboards in Metal Masters

Actually, I believe that Ryuga is ALIVE AND NOT ALIVE at the same time. After he disappeared, I pictured him as the MIGHTY DRAGON who lost its PUISSANCE as he gave his star fragment and perhaps all his power. His mighty power being vanished, he became a spirit or angel ready to go to the skies, where he will restore his energy. Basically, he is "Not Alive" as he is nowhere to be seen in the anime but "Alive" as he is in his CELESTIAL REALM, where he can look at what is happening to the Beyblade world AND where he awaits for a big moment to unfold before he could get back to earth.
A theory that I have is that remember when Pegasus disappeared after battling lightning L drago… it left bc it passed its limits. The same thing could’ve happened to ryuga and l drago, they passed their limits and are resting

Ryuga went from being this crazy unbeatable evil bad guy who everyone feared or in Gingkas case absolutely hated him because he thought that Ryuga killed his father but over time I know after he died I know Gingka had nothing bad to say about Ryuga he saw him as a rival but also a friend who gave his life to to help him and the other legendary bladers to save the world from nemesis I really wish he returned in Shogun steal not as a dark shadow but i really wished he showed up as a surprise character in the end to help save Gingka and settle the score with the dark nebula once and for all

It is still possible to see pegasus fully desintegrated. About Ryuga however, doesnt show the boddy, only the dust.
Adachi didn’t have much involvement with the team on the anime, so he doesn’t even know what their plan was, but he did admit that it looked like he died. The scene was playing out in a dramatic way and characters like Gingka have seen him pop up out of nowhere and vanish. In the end, it’s pretty much up to interpretation. No, I’m not gonna feed on bread crumbs like the cloud thing and the “disappearing like Storm Pegasus” bs. Ryuga straight up disappeared in front of the cast in frickin sparkles and they cried. There would be no reason for them to cry the way they did if it’s just “disappear to rest and come back” and Gingka saw him disappear before.
How are people just overlooking how Ryo mentioned how adults weren’t allowed to join the World Championship in the anime?? Is Ryo that forgettable to people?? The hundred-years thing is only in the manga. The manga and anime are completely different, as parallel or alternate universes, so they should be treated as separate canons. Treating them as one and the same would cause some problems with consistency in either stories.
TLDR: Ryuga in the manga, he’s alive. In the anime, maybe alive, but the people running the anime played the scene out as though he did, thus up to interpretation.

I haven't read the manga but i fondly remember the anime.
It is not a rare case for an anime to differentiate from a manga. In fact u can just treat them like 2 different stories. I think we shouldn't draw parallels between the two unless it's verified by the writer(i haven't done research).
I think the scene where he turns into dust is the resolution
of his character. About the end scene it's obviously the trope of "dead character looking from above his comrades".

Ryuga is dead for sure in the anime. It would make no sense to keep him alive. He made too many mistakes and the story had to punish him for it. His arc is truly beautiful and keeping him alive would ruin it.
