Leeds station! The retro vibe reminds me of taking the train to/from Uni in the 90s. I moved to Leeds in 1999 to do a Masters, and wrote my thesis in Final Writer on my A1200 (with 50MHz '060)
Having recently ish lost a parent, this hit home for not just the audio "retro" but i also done a train journey quite recent just to get out there and lost in thought. Did it help? yes and no. Kudos for a great "trigger memories " vid and a throw back to those old batteries. P.S my phone looks older than yours :)
Ooh, I love the "time pressure" feeling in this. I was getting it anyway from the dorian-ish feeling of being propelled forward (though I haven't bothered to actually see if it IS dorian, maybe it's regular minor); but then I noticed the motif of watching the clock and everything in the video. (And now as I type this you're rushing for a train! So I guess I am picking up what you're putting down.)
Thanks, I have literally no knowledge of music theory at all, I don't even know how to read sheet music/notation. I'm just doing everything by ear so I'm not aware of 'Dorian' or anything like that. But the track does have a sense of time pressure and there is a certain urgency to it. I'm glad you enjoyed, thanks again!
@@MsMadLemon I can understand that! I’ve only just been learning that side of theory these last couple of years despite playing music for over two decades haha. Funnily enough learning a bunch of that has had me going “look, you don’t need to know all this; just pick any group of 5, 6, or 7 notes if you like them. the repetition is what makes it sound cohesive” to my pals who fret about just playing things that sound nice.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but hopefully not. This song gives me the feeling of determination. The bassline has a strong cadence, like a hiker at the beginning of a trip, knowingly heading in the right direction. The sequence of images preparing for the trip: replacing batteries, choosing the right music and the other important stuff. It applies to life in general: we can't control what happens, but we can do the best with what we have from that point on. Very beautiful, as all of your music is. Thanks for sharing it!
Thanks Axel, actually you're not reading too much into it. My music videos, especially this one, are quite deep, i tend to try and portray deep feelings and concepts through my music and videos. So it's interesting to see what people take from what I put out there. And yes, there is a large element of what you've described in the video. There is a determination. It's my pleasure and thank you Axel!
Hiya Maddi ☺️ It’s a haunting and poignant opening to the new album with this first track and it makes me search my soul. The melodic tones and variations are just beautifully put together and l very much look forward to the release of this project. The video is wonderfully shot and edited with imagery that blends perfectly with the music. Music truly is one of the parts the heart that endures. All the best to you, Rich, Mr Neelix and everyone there ☺️
Hey Jason, I always like hearing what you think of my music, you seem to listen to it in depth and notice some of the deeper aspects, I appreciate that 🙂 I'm glad you appreciated the imagery also. I have to agree, music is very powerful, it can express what words cannot. All the best to you and Fi. I hope you're doing well 🙂
fascinating video from an intriguing and mysterious lady! Excellent production quality, too. You must have had some cinematography and video production training to get such a great outcome. The whole thing is outstanding. Serious talent, much respect to you.
Your music resonates with my nostalgic soul...instant teleportation ❤ you are extremely talented in sharing the unspoken..thanks!
What a lovely comment and compliment, thank you! ❤
You're such a tellented and beautiful person. Thank you

Did you find "him"?
Sharona Alperin (from The Knack, "My Sharona") went to Hawaii to meet her loved one Doug Fieger, RIP.😂

@@MsMadLemon I am joking. Travel to find “your loved one”.
