Congratulations again Maddi, so happy for you! Cassette design looks awesome. I, for one, would like to put my name down for the future 3.5" Amiga floppy release! 😃 Seriously though, I knew they wouldn't last long when you mentioned there were only 30.
Thank you Paul! If i do release 3.5" Amiga floppies, i'll be sure to send you a copy first 😉 I think i'm the only one who thought 30 would be enough lol
Congrats Madi :) Time for a second batch in a nice babyblue cassette shell :P so every batch is unique like the composer behind it ;) So happy for you and really proud. You did great.
@@MsMadLemon :P yeah, still a lovely tone and definitely your colour. Thanks, yeah i'm ok i guess. Been doing more and more soldering and also eventually got a Korg Minologue and absolutely love it. But i'm glad i waited and got it AFTER getting a Behringer Poly-D because the Minilogue is definitely a completely different sounding instrument. I tinkered around a little and built my own little Delay Box and also a little Pong Game but i'm still working on a proper video since i also plan to move away from Berlin so a lot of Projects are on hiatus for now.
I'm so glad that I bought a copy before I left my house for the day instead of after! Otherwise, I would have been too late. I bought my copy about five minutes after you posted the video.
I'm totally up for a cassette when you make another run as I totally missed out. (Don't do social media and am not on YT every day either). Not really interested in a CD version , they just don't have the same nostalgia for me personally, probably because I've never stopped buying/using them. A MiniDisc version would be cool though - so long as you add the track titles! If you are worried about cost - just sell them through your website and take the orders up front before producing them - I'd be happy to do that as I know you're not going to scam me - probably others who would be happy to do the same...
Thinking how fast these sold out, you could probably do at least 50 more. :) As for me, besides the cassette, I would definitely go for a CD. Vinyl, probably. MiniDisc, no. Oh, and I'm gonna go ahead and hope, that Waterfall will one day get a physical release. :) I've been gathering quite a few vinyl records the last year or so. I never had it back in the day - I went from cassette to CD. So it's not as much nostalgia as it is curiosity, I guess. But I do see the charming aspect of that media. Very ironically, I don't have a record player yet. I guess that's just how I operate... ^_^
Hi! Im Saartekk from Bandcamp... 😉👋 I'm a vinylcollector since almost 30years... But when i think on you and your music i have Cassettes in mind... Vinyl is very expensive and i think, your music on vinyl would not be the same feeling... Im defo for a second run of Cassettes... I will never lost my phone for this... 😉✌️😁 Take your time, no stress, i can wait... Do your thing... 😉✌️
Hahah if I choose to do vinyl records, I won't stop doing cassettes, the second run on cassettes is happening regardless of if I do vinyl, CD etc...Vinyl record i'm just thinking as a one off, and I think my music is suited for vinyl, as long as the right tracks are selected 😉
Congratulations on the sellout! I don't currently have a good option for playing it on cassette, but I bought my wife a new record player for her birthday last summer and we are collecting albums. I would probably buy a copy on vinyl if you end up doing one.
So pleased to hear this was so well received :) Damn I think it was 40 years ago that I got my first cassette deck :/ Makes me happy and kind of sad at the same time. Simpler times!
The thing is, you have lived through great times where all these things were the norm. At the same time though I get the part where it feels sad, I've found myself longing more and more for the simpler times lately. And you can figure thats the sentiment behind my creativity lately. Also thank you 🙂
Hiya Maddi ☺️ What a fantastic follow up video and l am so immensely happy on how the sales of the tape release of Step Inside went. It’s a glowing endorsement on how well received your music is and I am more than ready for any and all future physical releases, absolutely! All the very best to you, Rich, Mr Neelix and everyone there ☺️👍🏼
I could tell by that pounce you made on the first ever copy lol! you're my first online sale ever btw 😀 I have a feeling the vinyl record is going to happen one day, when I dont know but i'll have to build up to it and I can't wait. 😁 All the best to you and Fi! 🙂
I think non passive observers and subcribers got their reward getting their hands on the real thing, so that's fair. On the other hand it's EXTREMELY limited edition so reissue is more than advisable and don't be so modest about the edition, you're doing great things. Regarding medium, I still love mc's but I'm little shocked that there are new releases utilising cassettes in XXI century. But special projects like yours with music from ghost hardware feels like it's exactly the way to go, so cassettes all the way up! Nevertheless I think any other physical media would be a nice addition, CD's for quality, vinyl for big format artwork and I would buy the bundle any time.
lol bell. Well Kickstarter is a way of doing that ,I just need to make sure everything is all set and will follow through before I do anything, in terms of vinyl records.
I made a 10 minute promo video for the Rob Hubbard book, with lots of guests including 4MAT, D0KK (Heart of Neon) and LukHash who were sharing sharing memories in various forms, with Iain Lee narrating many of the people who shared their memories in TXT form. I messaged u 21st Jan to be one of the guests sharing memories U never sent a reply. 😞
I have several cassette decks I imported from Japan and I had one put back into a modern 2015 car installed natively I should show you sometime I actually got one of them to work in a touch screen car. I get all kinds of comments.
You have 30.000 subscribers and only made 30 tapes? I only just discovered you, first thought was I want a tape, then find out that you only made 30. Sad.
@@puckman as I said in the video.. I will be doing another run. Its wise to test the waters first when releasing physical media.. Especially since I'm an Independent artist. I'll announce when I've done more.

Congratulations on your released and sold out cassette album - really happy for you Maddi . . . . keep up the awesome music!!!!
A couple of years ago, I found an album that had a physical release on a GameBoy cartridge. I love this kind of thing.
I believe there are several albums on NES cartridges

Vinyl would be awesome, was never not my favorite medium, but cassette is completely doable for me and fits perfectly for the style.
Thank You again. I received my cassette today .Thank you for the personal touch with the cassette. Looking forward to listening to this tonight.
It's my pleasure. I hope you enjoy! 🙂
We watched this whole video with a big smile! So happy for you!!! This is so cool!!

Nooo it's already sold out. I wanna get that cassette !
Your gonna have to make more of those tapes Madija!
That's brilliant Maddi. Congratulations.
Thanks Franko.
Yes i would buy minidisc version.
Is that a Wipeout record or something behind the Roland synths.?
It is indeed, well spotted!

@@MsMadLemon Feel so privileged to have grown up in the 80s, experiencing 8bit to Amiga. Was a great time.
Maybe a pre-order system would help you out with planning etc. It would probably help the algorithm. 🙂

Can you release it on vinyl? I like cassette but it's not a format for me. I don't have anything remotly nice to playback on a C60..
Oh first time I hear you are using a daw and not only an Amiga... (it seems to me by the sound)
No, i'm still using a tracker, a combination of Amiga and Polyend Tracker, SID and vintage synthesizers.
Hi, just started following you. Any plans of making anymore physical copies on cassette?
Firstly welcome. Yes I do plan on making more, I'm going to do a physical release of my latest album but i'm also going to do more of this album also.
