Super sketchy and really uncomfortable trick, I'll probably only ever do them on very small rails. Hopefully I'll get a video up soon, loving the new wider setup so far.
It was such a good feeling to somewhat figure them out. i really think it was a confidence battle, this trick has always made me a bit nervous for some reason. True test will be getting a few at the park I skate with the really long rail😂
Sick yard sesh! Those BS slides scare the hell out of me as I tried them a couple years back and landing flat like you did. Respect for sticking with and landing a handful, looked proper smooth 👊🏻
@@OldBrokenSkater🤣 move on…. What’s next on your agenda? I’m a bit out for a while as I tweaked my lower back again on the half cab board slide learns from Sunday. Wasn’t cleaned up but landed, paying the price now though 🥸🤣
I gotta catch up on your vids! Hopefully you're not out long. Whats next......I still gotta find that 5 staircase, more transition skating on the old school board (really digging it), and flip tricks😂 these will definitely get me out a few days
@@OldBrokenSkater yes, 5 set!!!! Now your talking 🤘🏻 Flips tricks sound great. I feel sorry for you if your catching up on my vids, been a great couple weeks of tricks but there’s plenty of waffle to hear too 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice job on the board slides. I really want a rail, but can’t justify the price. I have a welder, so need to get some wire run and I’ll be able to make my own I’m progressing on heelflips. I made a breakthrough today and this morning’s session felt really good. No lands, but just the feel of my flick was decent. Got a nice back foot land too. I feel they’re close Also did some ollies up our curb. 10/10 lands. Doing it feels scary still, but getting better at them. Even got one really good pop that was at least a few inches higher than the 7” curb, so I’m stoked on that
Dude lots of progress!! Conragts!! The more you do the ollies up things the more muscle memory comes back or develops. Been meaning to try heel flips but always forget, those are super fun in my opinion. Thanks also! Board slides have been fun to learn again on a lower rail. The rails are definitely pricey and I wish I had just Googled a metal shop locally. There's one in my town that would have made one for less than 200 and longer. If you make one try and make it 8' if you can. The 6' is just to short and I would also opt for a square or beveled square rail. Wish I knew how to weld, hopefully you make one!
@@OldBrokenSkater thats awesome, I love my egg set up, but I recently stepped back on my 8.25 popsicle as it's my street set-up and it felt really light. Just not as easy to control and keep under your feet... but I will be skating it all next week as I'm doing some street skating and trying out new wheels on it
i am 48 and started skating again last year i recently tried those for the first time (maybe 2 out of 10 work, not really good yet). i found it so scary to ollie backwards onto the rail so the first 50 tries i did a stationary back 90 ollie and balanced on the rail. i wish i had a rail like that, the one at my skatepark is higher. keep shreddin'
It's such an uncomfortable feeling having to ollie almost blindly backwards. The lower rail does help but the fear of smashing face first after sliding out is always there😂. If I had a square rail I would totally try balancing these first. I was telling another friend below if you can have a local metal shop make one you could cut the cost down of getting a lower rail for the house. Some of the rails at the parks are nuts, took me a few months to find one I really like, its like 8" of the ground.
I tried a few but started to shift my bodyweight the wrong way causing more of the slide outs where you look at the rail as your about to fall. I think when I started "center" my weight on the bar the rotation of my shoulders just made it super easy to come out fakie....if that makes sense. Want to try again but coming out regular, just need to get the right "center" of balance on rail.
Great work! Cool new board. The stability on those big boards give a lot of confidence and make them fun to skate. Enjoy!
Thanks! The stability is incredible, right now the egg and this board are my favorites.
Yo! You got those BS boardslides DOWN! Frontsides are looking awesome also!
Thanks Nate!!! It took a little but once I committed I started to figure it out.
Front board is a scary trick. Looking forward to seeing the skatepark video with the new set up.

Nice, I'd say you unlocked fs boardslides. That board is sick, never heard of 'em. I'll have to look them up.
🔥🤙🏼
Thanks! It's a Welcome skateboard, they're always making interesting things. Saw the graphic I just had to have it, so far been pretty fun to ride.
Nice brother shoot once you unlocked them it was over SICK!

Thanks Simon! It's definitely a scary one, I'm happy with landing a few and moving on now.

Incredible job on those front boards mate, that trick is so hard.
Thanks! Took me a while and few falls but absolutely worth it once it clicked.
New deck looks sweet!
Thanks!! So far love it...still not better than the egg though. The egg shape is currently my favorite.

@@OldBrokenSkater i did that on a round rail and sadly theres no space for skating around my house.
I always found coming out fakie was really hard to dial in at first. Any reason you didn't come out regular stance?
