I know, it's a little sad when you don't receive one back. But I love the process of making them so I'll keep sending even if there's no return

It's a shame that letter writing and sending isn't as customary in today's society as it used to be, because there is something so timeless and perpetual about them!😊

I love to receive handwritten letters from my penpals all over the world and what is the best thing is when they decorate they envelopes and stuff or send handmade cards to me. Makes you feel you are very special to them.
That's so sweet to send little embellishments along! I'd love more info about how you find the materials without spending $50 at the craft store.

Just trying to help you frame the perspective, but it's more about finding things that fit an aesthetic and how to buy useful amounts without creating a ridiculous stockpile. I don't mind spending money but many supplies don't seem terribly versatile once I get them home. Maybe a video about finding your style and sticking to your personal color scheme might knock it out of the park?

my friends and i started sending snail mail to each other during quarantine and even though we text and snapchat receiving letters from them is so much more personal and makes me miss them more 🥺

This may seem like a silly question, but do you put those adorable bundles in a larger envelope when you send them out? How do you ensure that all of those cute bits and bobs make it to your pen pal safely? I've seen a few spectacular snail mailers create these mail bundles, and I can't help thinking, "surely they don't just send it out with only a piece of twine holding everything together??" I'd love some tips for cute, but secure letter packaging!
I put them all in a larger envelope so nothing gets lost in the mail :)

i recently found my first penpal and she’s such a gem! i remember growing up with a dream to one day have someone from some place different and collect their letters and i’ve finally done it. i received her letter a few days ago and it was the best feeling in the world!

I’ve had a penpal for about two months now and there has been times I’ve been reallllly realllly busy and have had absolutely no time to send back, but she’s so understanding and so when I do send back I always try to make what I sent with love and make it super extra! Guys don’t give up on your penpals no matter how busy you or they are because if you find someone who always sends back no matter what even if it’s a week or two later then that’s what really matters! ♥️

OMG I loved Saturday Disney so so much! I started making a diorama in a shoebox to send for one of their competitions and I was so determined! I built a little tent in a back yard scene and put one of those little fake candles inside so it lit up little paper figures of the hosts and put their shadows on the tent and stuff. So much work but my mum never ended up sending it... :'(
I'm so happy that somebody else loved it as much as I did. That sounds like an awesome artwork. Such a shame your mother didn't send it.

You don’t need a PO Box, or to send extras

My 2 pen pals are from the slowly app and I hope we can send letters to each other like this. I hope my daughter gets into having a pen pal it's fun to write letters and wait until you get yours and reading what they have to say. It really is fun to do.

Hi Brittany, hope youre having a great day! I have some questions for you I hope you will answer. I would love to know how you store all of your pen-pal letters? Do you re-use the items you receive from your friends? Or do you keep everything they sent you inside the letter the way you received it and store it that way? I'm just curious.
