these guys are the real deal. doing what most people only think of. I had the chance to briefly meet and talk to David both times they hit Wisconsin this summer and these guys are the genuine article. gearheads that aren't so full of themselves they will listen to you y'all about your junk, even tho they have a hefty schedule. thanks for the no BS men. light hearted and real
+David Freiburger I need you guys to go through colorado..... im dying to meet you guys.... truly some of the last few good gear heads. Its about knowing where your mistakes were and accepting them with or with out compromise. I DREAM TO ONE DAY WORK WITH YOU GUYS AND YOUR CREW AMAZING
I hope the truck comes back. I don't know what it is, but lowered, chopped and channeled trucks with full-sized tires and duallies are just awesome. (no, not bro-trucks) ps.. I would whine more about having harley anything on the show. The only vehicle that comes with a wardrobe...
+HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more I have to agree. As an car entertainment show this is in general better then Top Gear. Maybe with a few of Top Gear's specials like the one where they drive through Africa to find the beginning of the Nile. But maybe in a few years when this show have gain some more popularitet and get some money... I would love to see some epic road kill trips outside of USA.
I didn't like hearing that David got in trouble at work at let the fans down. Why were they even messing around buying a new vehicle and cutting it up none the less for no apparent reason if they didn't have the time?
i know that nobody is ever going to see this comment, certainly not finnigan or friedburger, but i just wanted to say that you guys are a big inspiration to me. im just an 18 year old kid in delaware but i love cars, i have been building a 1977 camaro z28 for the past couple of years and just finished building a 383 stroker for it. but the whole time it has been one problem after another, and it sucks, rate now i just installed a second cam in the motor and the dynamic pressure is still through the roof, and its frustrating. then i see you guys just shrug it off and i realise that its not a big deal, its just for fun and my car sure is fun.
+mrskaterelf That's part of Roadkill's charm... they show the fails, even the really stupid ones. It's a "reality show" with _actual_ reality, no fake shit. Everyone messing with cars can relate.
That's awesome dude!! I'm 17 and I'm working on an '82 Datsun 720 mini-truck (kinda wish I had your Camaro, but the Datsun do haha), but most of my problems are just finding money for parts for the suspension, brakes, etc, but the truck runs great! Glad to see other people out there with their own projects!! And yo Frieburger, keep up the good work!! It'd be cool if you and Fin did another competition episode where you each get your own cars again, those are awesome!!! Good luck to ya!!
+mrskaterelf Bro the blood sweat and tears suck at the time but after it all the car will mean so much more when it's done! Plus You''l find for the rest of your life whenever you have a car problem you'll be able to deal with it either cos you learned how from this car or cos it will seem easy compared to the shit you had to do to this one :)
further south inflorida, almost all 4x4 trucks have swamp rot, where the black plant sludge that we call mud gets caught in the frame, and eats out whatever it touches
+RB26 likeaboss if those tires are what I think they are, the sidewalls are extraordinarily stiff. Let all the air out and you might drop the height by 2" but you'll almost certainly break the seal at the bead which is much more PITA than having half the truck outdoors.

Thank you David and Mike I really enjoy watching all of your videos. I think we all wish we could do something we enjoy with someone you enjoy being with and just let loose and have a little fun! Thanks
Oh man just looked on Facebook and they posted a pic a few months back.... It's got a blower now and it makes like 790hp on 5lbs.... And ran a 10.66! I think high 9's are possible!
Ah, man... those three scenes where there was some serious gear grinding... David just cracked me up... I replayed the scenes like 20 times... knowing the feeling makes it even funnier!
i would of stuck a big block in it and made a cool ramp truck from it, stuck the Blasphemi on the back and roadtripped it there, quality episode though keep em coming guys
yeah. ramp trucks, OLD ramp trucks are kick ass. I have lenghtened, shortened and otherwise mangled an repaired plenty of truck frames. it's just steel, can always be changed. Would a Turbo flathead haul the weight???? roadkill
terr0rwolf this truck has spark plugs now...is it not a real truck? I'm tired of the "put a cummins in everything" fad. They certainly have their place but it isn't EVERY place. The noise, vibration, and mass of a 6BT would make this truck much less fun. Remember this cab is just thick sheetmetal, no insulation at all and they aren't especially well sealed from diesel fumes either. A Y-block or other vintage Ford gas mill would be more appropriate to me and improve the functionality of the truck, especially if put into ramptruck duty. The flathead is prone to overheating, especially when worked hard (like a ramptruck) and is more high-maintenance not to mention less suited to sustained high revs than either the 300 6-cyl or a Y-block. My pick would be the 300 but I'm biased. It's a compact, quiet, smooth mill with lots of torque and can be had cheaply, found all over the world, and was installed by Ford in trucks upto the F600 dump trucks so a ~10k gvw would be no concern at all.
These kind of projects really get me thinking about the past. Back then they'd have straight sixes and y block v8's in this model. And the dude making a part for the car would have no idea that the car he was helping make would be chopped to have a shorter wheelbase, or that a rear mounted monster V8 with a supercharger and blower made out of other vehicles would power it and make it stand on the tow bar.
I would give dude a case of beer just for doing those tires. I might buy a deuce and a half one day and i don't want to kill myself with the shot tires trying to take it off.
+Mike Finnegan Hey Finnegan, what happened to the GMC you guys rescued from a junkyard? is it gone? if not, how about you get that one and the Ford to make one episode! maybe race them? lol
I really hope we will see Bob again, it is great idea, You just need a few more days with it. Maybe roadtrip while fixing it up, getting trailer mid-trip to get some junk. Or anything, but just make it happen this or another year. Thanks for great show guys!
That's the whole show. Goofing around They ARE car guys and know what to do. But Roadkill is for goofing. Finnegan's garage is where you'll see these guys do more conventional car projects that get done correctly
Love this show but I'm getting a little tired of them never having enough time to do the actual cool thing they set out to do. I get that that's part of the show and they're busy guys but I wanted to see that truck speeding down the highway.
I agree, seems like the last few episodes have lost the touch of the original roadkill episodes. Miss the, let's take this unreliable pos 800 miles and see how it goes.
+Brian Wierenga It seems this time of year is really busy for them with all the events that they have to attend. Once things quiet down on that front i'm sure we will see stuff that more closely resembles the original episodes.
+dftns19 These unrealistic deadlines have a very "assisted reality television" vibe to them. It's like watching the terrible discovery channel car modding shows where they only have a week to finish a car because it makes things "More dramatical" when everyone is irritated and more likely to fight. (The car was never done in time on those shows either) This should have been about getting that truck to go 800 miles with a self imposed deadline that can easily be missed completely (Like any good road trip). Instead, it was about getting trouble with the editors because they managed to not accomplish the goal of the video (Making the truck move more than a mile) AND they managed to miss their scheduled appearance. Then the last 10 minutes of the episode was just them having fun with other cars. Which is fine, I'm not angry over that, but i don't watch Roadkill to watch well built cars drag race. I watch Roadkill to see jalopies do burnouts until there is a loud clank and the engine stops running. This was such a promising episode. That truck was awesome, and I was so eager to see it make the guys suffer on a long trip. Then everything got de-railed and the truck never even went a mile. Poor farmer Joe did all that work replacing tires for nothing.
Song Lyrics I didn't notice that in this episode but I've seen others where they censor fuck but not shit. I'm guessing they want it to be a family friendly show but maybe miss a few beeps.
@ 23:08, dont know if its the camera angle, but it seems like the rear axle isn't square, looks like cab is crooked even tho going straight, something is out of alignment
Yeah it dog tracks pretty hard. I don't know if they fixed it when they put the big block in it. I saw them twice in texas for power tour back in june and once in Milwaukee at the summer nationals (which I did the midnight drags in) back in july
Georgia is dirt cheap, compared to how much he prolly paid in rent in Southern California especially LA, he's prolly paying fraction whilst owning a true home in Georgia.
Haha love these guys, genuine no bs, such a change that TV could learn from! Just watching the intro "we've been talking about doing something like this for years"... I feel like I heard that a lot - man you guys must talk about doing a lot!?!
I did this with a '70 C-10 in my back yard. It was a long bed 2WD with a stock 350, a TH350, and 40" mud grips. Manual drums that didn't quite work and manual steering. Shortening it was super easy. I pulled off the bed and I just cut out a 16" section of the frame rails then joined them back together. The pieces I cut out were used to reinforce the frame, which I welded and bolted back together. The driveshaft had a carrier bearing so all I had to do was shorten the rear shaft. I rewelded the trailing arm pivots back on to the frame in the proper place (it had coil springs). And that was it. When I was finished it was only 12" longer than it was wide. That little truck would move, but it was hairy to drive. Bad brakes, loose front end, and those mud grips. One morning I took it up to 105 mph on a deserted road. When I got to work the front wheel bearing was cooked. Stupid, but lucky. Watching this makes me want to do another one.
Its good to see that I am not the only one who feels like projects dont always work to plan, There are better days and there are these challenging days
I can't be the only one who absolutely cannot wait for the Roadkill/Mightycarmods collaboration. Roadkill luck+ The famous sexual innuendoes of our dudes down under....buckle up. It's gonna be good.
Austin Goss SWEET and thank you. My Dad a 50 Ford shorten just like that with a 2 speed rear end, double clutch 4 speed, 3 - 20 gallon gas tanks and finally the last motor a 1965 Ford 390 in it. Pulled a 10X55 foot trailer behind it. Had to be under 70 feet long total.
The Worst Day of ROADKILL is the BEST DAY EVER!! You guys are living the dream. Oh, and by the way, I would trick out the EL CAMINO for for free. I am the PAINTER DOOD!
1st time i watch your videos because the repu. i owe 3 of them all at the same time. regret from sold 2 of them. my yellow one like yours was a 76. they hard to find nowadays. well good luck in find the truck.i did enjoy the time trials at the track.thank you...
after watching stubby bob and pig pen about a dozen times each i am begging that you guys get the go ahead to finish both of these projects up and if possible even have some kind of shoot off between the two. I just thing thatd be beyond awesome, these two trucks would be perfect riding along side each other!
these guys are the real deal. doing what most people only think of. '70 Nova still sitting in the yard... A Roadkill episode if you ever need it.

Yep, this is what the rest of the motoring world won't ever get or understand about "American". Europeans especially!
+Mike Hagen are you in WCEC? Wisconsin Car Enthusiast Club? if you arent look it up on facebook.
All I want now is to hear Freiburger say "On this episode of Roadkill we put a Hayabusa engine in Finnegans golf cart!"
+Steve Bohm That sounds like fun shit :D
+Steve Bohm Please use a hemi.....
+Steve Bohm maybe a sportie engine. they probably want a break from being bashed about their imports.
+irvirgil anybody that would complain about that doesn't get the show.
I hope the truck comes back. I don't know what it is, but lowered, chopped and channeled trucks with full-sized tires and duallies are just awesome. (no, not bro-trucks)

Finally they’ve brought some of the UA-cam videos back!
This guy literally on every OG roadkill episodes lol

You guys can do no wrong. Thanks for bringing it to us real. Keep up the good work.
+Mike Finnegan Did ya figure out what went wrong with the '55?
+Mike Finnegan u are so awesome I just want more of the stubby bob episodes
+DiamondJake01 the 55 was out of gas they said it in a later episode
+Jarrett Curley they're gonna do an LS swap on Stubby Bob.....dissapointing :(
That truck is awesome you have to do another episode with it and finish it. Man was this episode kool.
+Potaka79 The truck definitely deserves a full episode. Hopefully not three years from now. ;)
+strangersound maybe a year from now
+strangersound It's in his driveway, the big boss will clearly make him finish it.
hmmmm, do you smell that...... I can smell another hellcat swap....
I thought they sold both of them?
farmer ted is the true mvp of this episode
Yes! So looking forward to new episodes every month. Keep up the awesome work, you guys are the perfect new Top Gear in my book!
No way. Roadkill is Roadkill.
It is far more hands on and creative. I'm talking in terms of me feeling madly entertained for 45 minutes.

the music that plays during the scenes where the guys taking apart the wheels is great
Steev Don what is that music??
Amar Dubal I do not know but I love the sound
Is it me, or is this show the best show ever? Love Dave & Mike, this joint is absolutely hilarious.
it truely is. Love everything about it
This is the best show ever, only wish you didn't have to pay for motor trend online just to watch roadkill.
I didn't like hearing that David got in trouble at work at let the fans down. Why were they even messing around buying a new vehicle and cutting it up none the less for no apparent reason if they didn't have the time?

My thoughts exactly.

Thinking the same
That combo has damn near replaced Top Gear for me.
It's pretty funny rewatching and knowing that they didn't have any gas in it😂

that truck has less rot than my 2002 Honda. Gotta love the south.
further south inflorida, almost all 4x4 trucks have swamp rot, where the black plant sludge that we call mud gets caught in the frame, and eats out whatever it touches
I agree
why not just release some air from the tyres till the truck fits in the garage?
+RB26 likeaboss I was thinking the same thing.
+RB26 likeaboss if those tires are what I think they are, the sidewalls are extraordinarily stiff. Let all the air out and you might drop the height by 2" but you'll almost certainly break the seal at the bead which is much more PITA than having half the truck outdoors.
Figment078 It has no seal on the bead it has inner tubes.
+weirdstuffanimation7 Yes, but if you deflate and the bead separates from the rim and they move differently you have the PITA I was referring to.
+Figment078
I don't think there's enough weight there to cause a problem. And, don't forget, the tube is backed up by that big gaiter which sits between the beads. Even with the tires at 10psi the beads won't move.
.
Gator??!!
.
No, gaiter, it protects the tube from chafing on the metal wheel hub.
Thank you David and Mike I really enjoy watching all of your videos. I think we all wish we could do something we enjoy with someone you enjoy being with and just let loose and have a little fun! Thanks

It was definitely a well deserved welcome back to UA-cam. I loved this episode even though it was a RoadKill.
Whats wrong with roadkill?
I am watching from here in New Zealand. This is by far the best MotorShow on the internet. I am totally hooked. You guys rock!!!!

i would of stuck a big block in it and made a cool ramp truck from it, stuck the Blasphemi on the back and roadtripped it there, quality episode though keep em coming guys
my thoughts exactly except Y-block or Ford 300 six cyl instead
+mwilliamshs How about a Cummins? Real trucks don't have spark plugs ;)
+terr0rwolf damn straight
yeah. ramp trucks, OLD ramp trucks are kick ass. I have lenghtened, shortened and otherwise mangled an repaired plenty of truck frames. it's just steel, can always be changed. Would a Turbo flathead haul the weight???? roadkill

Still love you guys. This was not a complete fail because I love having a new couple of episodes. Thanks guys!
I would definitely drive any of these cars to work 😂😂
who else likes roadkill more than dirt every day
camo dan everyone
nah dirt every day is better
@me
Dirt every day is made by roadkill so your basically watching roadkill
It's not a competition but if i had to choose i'd definitely go with Dirt Everyday!.
Lol. Like your guys enthusiasm especially with all the stuff that goes wrong 😂
That farmer Ted scene was great
Stupid question: How do you know the amount of oil you need to put in theses old engines
Dipstick.
Now if you meant type there is all sorts of online information for the old flatheads.
You add a quart at a time and once the dipstick reads full you know how much
These kind of projects really get me thinking about the past.
Back then they'd have straight sixes and y block v8's in this model.

I really hope we will see Bob again, it is great idea, You just need a few more days with it. Maybe roadtrip while fixing it up, getting trailer mid-trip to get some junk. Or anything, but just make it happen this or another year.
Thanks for great show guys!
The Camera man can't help but laugh 😂😂😂
No need for a bobber, but this should have been stretched and made into a wedge/ramp truck.. How cool would that be????!!!!!
+Steve 1961P. They mounted an engine in the back and made it a wheelie truck instead: facebook.com/RoadkillShow/videos/637259676429294/

Great project ! Next time , let the tyres down to get into the garage. just a thought !
Spent 2 days making a "gas tank" that can't be used and didn't bother doing anything constructive to make it road worthy, brilliant plan.

sad. I love old trucks, especially in that fantastic of condition. I could see taking some frame off, but that's too much. It doesn't look right.

i'm with Brad Taylor thats too much shorting
omg I love how Finnegan was eating half the time this episode, keep up the good work bro😂
i still think they should have left the frame full length
@ 23:08, dont know if its the camera angle, but it seems like the rear axle isn't square, looks like cab is crooked even tho going straight, something is out of alignment
Yeah it dog tracks pretty hard. I don't know if they fixed it when they put the big block in it. I saw them twice in texas for power tour back in june and once in Milwaukee at the summer nationals (which I did the midnight drags in) back in july
Wade McKenney I know
Wade McKenney Or at least had about 3 feet longer wheelbase. Would be more pleasing to the eye.
Creepy Cooter what are you doing here cooter. This isn't demolition ranch
Damn, never realized he lived in a damn mansion.
Rich wife? You tube money? I thought he lived in the hood in LA
Georgia is dirt cheap, compared to how much he prolly paid in rent in Southern California especially LA, he's prolly paying fraction whilst owning a true home in Georgia.
you guys are, like,........the most awesome dudes in the entire world

That was the sketchiest jack I have ever seen by a long shot... 5:00
Finnegan and Freiberger, you did it again! Thanks!
Haha love these guys, genuine no bs, such a change that TV could learn from! Just watching the intro "we've been talking about doing something like this for years"... I feel like I heard that a lot - man you guys must talk about doing a lot!?!
May i add the musical decisions in roadkill are fantastic and i love it because its perfect lol
Blasphemi is one of the coolest cars on the planet. The style and finish on it is exceptional. Love the '55 - best looking of 50's Chevy midsize cars.
I really love your show you both are awesome friends and in tune with each other
love how u guys weld and cut and torch in flip flops...reminds me of my jeep build....love your show...
I think its awesome you guys got Dodge funding. What's better is that it didn't change anything about the show!
I laugh my ass off every time I watch Freiburgers face while Finnegan is trying to shift that truck!! Love it!
Who knew Stubby Bob would bring us so much win?
“And he has to move his golf cart” typically mike. lol 😂
Dude shows up, Dude is a MONSTER lol. loved that part
You guys are awesome...thanks for such a great video....keep up the great work.
Love it! An all the fabrication work you 2 do!
What is the song that starts at 26:44? I feel like I should recognize it, but I can't put my finger on it.
We need more Stubby Bob!
What is that song called, right around 26-27 minutes in to the video ? I just fell in love with the tune
Its good to see that I am not the only one who feels like projects dont always work to plan, There are better days and there are these challenging days
I love how the boys are fucking around with the beer keg while Man Mountain does the real work.
Excellent video!
One of those songs were actually used by "Jang" in his old Ultimate RC videos
My all time favorite roadkill episode.
I had forgotten how fun these early episodes were.

Oh man I want that on a shirt! "I don't care how it ridess, I don't care how it drives... it just looks cool"
Haha the beginning: grind, drill, BEEP!! 😂
I can't be the only one who absolutely cannot wait for the Roadkill/Mightycarmods collaboration. Roadkill luck+ The famous sexual innuendoes of our dudes down under....buckle up. It's gonna be good.
I hope you have another show where you feature the 50 Ford and for tour with it.
They fixed it and it does wheelies so it'll be soon
Austin Goss
SWEET and thank you.
One of my all time favorite episodes hands down. Well this and the wheelie one lol
"ON THIS EPISODE OF ROADKILL WE BRING THE THUNDER!!!" awesome
The Worst Day of ROADKILL is the BEST DAY EVER!!

after watching stubby bob and pig pen about a dozen times each i am begging that you guys get the go ahead to finish both of these projects up and if possible even have some kind of shoot off between the two. I just thing thatd be beyond awesome, these two trucks would be perfect riding along side each other!
"I have a beer keg that we can turn into a gas tank" that basically sums up roadkill
