You must be new to the party, I realized this, when I first playing in 2009. With flying mount, from Orgrimmar to Stranglehon vale takes about 10 minutes to fly.
As I started playing the game, it just felt huge. I could roam around for hours. I got so pulled into the game AI never thought about what its actual physical size might be.
@@wayneschmidt490 I totally get that. When I was new, a friend of mine and I did a "no ui" run across kalimdor at like level 29. It was impressive, and we marveled at the size of it. I was shocked to see how narrow Eastern kingdoms is in your video. But it would take 8 days to walk from the East to West end of my state. It would take 10 hours to walk from one end of my county to the other.
And you're not happy with how small it is, why don't you design a game that is real-world size :D even with procedural generated bs it's a hard enough task.
Game developers do some tricky things to make their worlds feel large.

Yep! Only been playing 5 months. While in the game, the world seems huge. I was surprised at the actual dimensions.
But even though being a new player, he managed to do some serious science stuff on wow, props for that bro.
So Elwynn forest is 2/3 the size of Central Park NY.
How could play the game and think even the largest zone was the size of a state? How could you even assume an entire continent was that large?

That's the main reason of conflict. Try throwing 28 races in similar sized area.
