Rare in-Store footage of the then newly installed Beach Bowzers animatronic side show at the Danvers, MA Chuck E. Cheese*s.
In the Summer of 1989 the Danvers Location received a extensive remodel, removing the last of the previous Pizza Time Theatre decor and theming. The Beach Bowzers were brought in the replace the two previous Lounge and Caberet Shows, The King and the ultra-rare B.B. Bubbles.
The Bowzers were a cosmetic retrofit to the original, previous incarnation of this same canine band known as The Beagles. The Beagles were a spoof of The Beatles, and played their well known songs at Pizza Time Theatre. In the mid 1980s PTT tried to freshen up the show by doing a overlay, producing The Beach Bowzers as a replacement.
By the mid 1990s most Chuck E. Cheese*s Locations had all Lounge and Caberet acts removed, and the focus for animatronic entertainment was in the main Showroom.
Neat to see these characters... albeit a fuzzy old video. I got to see live as a kid, The Balcony shows... Harmony and Helen Versions... Dolli Dimples, and The King....
LOL I was chief tech for Pizza Time Partners of New England and I actually installed this and all the other stage shows.

This was the very first 'Live Show' created for CEC back in 1987. It was distributed and used in most CEC Stores in 1988.
